Great guy!.. And the gold is.. Listen to the man's crystal clear voice..!! Always admired his voice,.. Only a few singer's are blessed with such voice..
Alice has no need to retire he opened for Motley Crue as a gesture of kindness but in reality the old man destroyed them every night like a lamb to the slaughter. Alice will out live us all

I've seen him and his band open for Motley Crue, Iron Maiden and Deep Purple, and he was easily better than all except maybe Maiden, but they're obviously one of the most legendary bands of all time so I'll give Alice a pass on that one
@BKD Vickers "And Alice KNOWS his band performed better than Motley Crue" I strongly suspect that Alice doesn't see it as a competition. Why is it because you people are a fan of one guy you have to big him up at the expense of others? Isn't it that Alice and the Crue both enjoyed putting on a great show together?
Went to his show a few years ago , I was expecting a so-so aging rocker half-ass corny 70’s throwback show...I was wrong , Alice and his band put on a show which I can honestly say was in the top five concerts I’ve ever been to , high energy , spirited , highly visual performance. Had me and the entire venue on our feet cheering ,clapping and smiling the entire show. Sometimes it’s great to be wrong , this was one of those times , will definitely see him again!
Alice is right. While in the mid and late 90's, it was a tough time for classic hard rockers, Alice endured and now the crowds are on the rise again. Alice is still a great live act and still great in the studio. Part of what helps to is he keeps a younger, fresh, energetic band backing him up and Alice still has a ton of energy. The greatest ever in my opinion.
Alice Cooper, wow! an absolute legend and yet so humble, relaxed and down to earth. I am now 59 and remember lying on my bed with headphones at 16 years of age in South Africa listening to billion dollar babies, and still listen today... regularly. This guy is just something else, such a true gentleman and yet a rock legend with no equal. Nothing but respect for you Sir.
Alice believes in God - it is the REAL THING, he made the RIGHT TURN. He had NO EXCUSES. Would you like to receive Jesus too? You would have heaven beside you then.
I became an Alice Cooper fan because I first saw him in Wayne's World (1 or 2 I really can't remember) when he performed Feed My Frankenstein. Been an Alice Cooper fan ever since.
Met Alice Cooper way back in 2000 at one of his haunted houses. He pulled us out of line to sign autographs and stopped to talk about his tour his and his players. Great dude!
i just love the fact that he's like ''yeah... im gonna keep on going, cause number one: no stress, number two: i still have amazing band members and three: im still having fun'' this shows that aslong as you dont get stressed out doing it, you can keep on going
Saw them at Copenhell a couple years back. You can tell that they like being on stage. And you can tell they actually like being around each other. That is important, and the show was amazing!
now i know the reason why musicians love to be with his band, because he's the type of superstar who respects people around him instead of bossing them around.
Yes I also saw him open for Crue in 2014 - and as said by others - he crushed them. His show is incredible and it's great he has retained all the old theatrics with the guillotine etc
In 6 months I got to see the Vampires and Alice with his band. The Vampires were a blast. It was surreal to see three legends in their own right having a good time making classic music. Alice's show is in a league of its own. Jaw dropping. Every member of the band is a master. I will remember that show for the rest of my life. Stay healthy, Alice. We need you around for a long time! Love and respect.
Well the singer is really called Vincent Damon Furnier and he was in the Alice Cooper band. Later people started calling him Alice Cooper, but it isn't his real name
MasterWitchDoctor Alice himself said its a rumor that is untrue and has perpetuated itself over the years. He said that Alice Cooper sounded wholesome and all American which is what he wanted as a sharp contrast to the character he plays on stage. But the whole witch thing is false according to Alice himself.
Of course there's no stress...he's done all, been all, achieved all...what's left? He's got nothing left to prove. The guy is magic... humble, talented, devoted and still just wants to have fun. What more could you ask for?
Thats probably why the show is so good. Everyone is in it because they want to be and have fun with it. They're all about the show and not their own personal gain.
What a genuine rock idol. :) Someone I can admire both for his work and his personality - I mean, I know it's an interview and whatever, but he just comes across as a truly down to Earth person. And I love how his band enjoys themselves. No stress... that's the key. Find something you love to do and get someone to pay you for it.
I was lucky enough to see Alice live for the first time last Oct at the Mother Of All festival in Monterrey Mexico. They put on an amazing show, all the stops pulled out and he is dead right about Nita. She was brilliant!
HV tour was exactly as he describes: no stress, a lot of fun, no need to do it, but a lot of joy doing it. Awesome tour! You could see and feel, Alice has arrived home. :-)
He looks much better than he did in the early '80s too, when he was drinking a couple of bottles of booze a day and smoking vast amounts of crack and not eating.
Dude. 70, not 90. Many people look more than good at 70. The issue is not his age, the issue is if he should be doing shows at that age, because you know, well, hes done enough already. But clearly unlike other stars he had the wisdom to have the feet on ground.
The best show I’ve ever seen! It changed by outlook. I thought rock was on its final leg than I went and saw the show in Topeka last night, you just got to know where to look!

The Man who looks like his character and has nothing to prove. Nita is a far better fit than Orinathi ( Bon Jovi = Yoko Ono ). The last tour was great and love Alice as does most of the world!
The best part of seeing Alice live, is that he doesn't have to do this for a living...he's got plenty of dough, so it doesn't come across as just him going through the motions because it's his job. He does it because he truly loves it, so as a consequence he puts on great shows.

Back in the early 70s I came of age with Love it to death listening to "I'm Eighteen." We all believed eventually the rock scene in all its glory would die out just like Jethro Tull sang, "Too Old to Rock n' Roll - Too Young To Die). There is something more genuinely down to Earth about an artist or musician that just keeps on going with their music than say musicians like Kiss or Ozzy Osbourne threatening retirement just as marketing ploys to get more fans to come to their concerts while Alice Cooper just keeps on going as it's his lifeblood because the guy just is a rock-musician and nothing else really. I mean look at John Lee Hooker or Charlie Daniels they never even retired until the days they left this Earth for the afterlife and even then they are still performing for all eternity up in Heaven. Even Slayer will probably decide to come back eventually. Last but not least don't forget Motley Crue who came back three years after their supposedly last concert ever and they are touring yet again since then in 2018 I believe it was they came out with another album and clearly Aerosmith won't quit playing until the day they leave this Earth too.
My dad and grandma said that he and his brother met Alice Cooper at a ball game and he let them sit down with him to watch the game for a bit. Do I believe them, yes I do.

1971, I was 15 and Alice was my very first ever concert. Flash forward 50 years, still going to Alice's concerts. Every show is simply mind boggling.

Why should he retire when he has such a lot of music to share -a great show -and an audience?
The man LIVES to put on shows and to be on stage and rock out...that and to play golf of course, LOL!
It amazes me that he performs at such a high level still. I just saw him this month and he show was *incredible* !
