      Bifen is “okay”. It doesn’t even compare to demand cs though. Iv been in the pest control business going on 17 years. I used Bifen for years but me and most of my competitors switched to Demand Cs. Their ICAPP technology is next level. Last way longer and much more effective. More resistant to weather etc etc.

    Mosquito Barrier is a great organic mosquito/tick control. About $85 for a gallon I believe but it only takes about 6oz per gallon per app. Not super cost effective but my dogs graze like cattle so its my only solution haha! Enjoyed the video! I'll probably pick these up for using on my trees and larger shrubs.

      I knew I'd find someone like you if I searched long enough. My male dog's deathly allergic to anything chicken & most chemicals. I also enjoy as chemical-free garden as nature intended. I don't want to add to the senseless deaths of beneficial pollinators. I prefer companion & sacrificial planting instead. Our mosquitoes are tenfold this summer in MT due to the massive floods last month. I'm not sure I've seen this product here, but my greatest fear was covered in your 3rd sentence. Cheers, ~ Covah

      @@covahsmusicvault8953 No problem! I've been using it for years effectively. Just make sure to do about three apps during the peak season. It may take half a season to decrease the population enough to really get the effect, but if you couple the Mosquito Barrier with BTI granuals in flower beds it pretty much knocks everything out and come early summer you get to relax without having to bat those blood suckers away ever again :D Cheers!

      @@bronsonstein7724 I truly appreciate your response. My garden's doing *amazing* & so are the *mosquitoes.*
      I see all my assassin critters in full.....we're just having bizarre weather: 105F temps then down to 57F & back up to 97F NOT to forget all the stagnant pools of H2O still deep enough for breeding them due to those floods in late June.
      I'm almost certain we'd be alright...it seems likely the good bugs, even birds are just severely outnumbered this season.
      *I've also realized those of us with ultimate donor blood are craved donors to mosquitoes. That SUCKS, pun NOT intended, just the sad truth.* Hopefully others with *O - or +* read this too. It would be a blessing for us indeed. Cheers, ~ Covah

      @bronsonstein7724 Рік тому

      @@justinlulofs4320 I hate the smell but my partner loves anything garlic and she loves when I spray it lol. I find if you go a little heavier on high pop areas it works better. Also a blanket spray of lawn and getting the leaves if shade trees helps. A surfactant makes it last a bit longer too. I did my normal app in April after four bites one afternoon and haven’t been but since.

    The "blue bottle" contains Beta Cyfluthrin & Imidacloprid. Dual modes of action.
    --------
    It's a good idea to rotate the "blue bottle" with the Bifenthrin. For example Bifenthrin 2-4 times, then "blue bottle" 2-4 times, as to not build resistance.

    Now if you had added some ExcitR for immediate knock down and some Tekko (insect growth regulator) you would be treating your yard like the big money sprayer guys do.
    Upfront cost about 90 bucks for the material but you’ll get years of cost saving mosquito control.

    • @TheLawnWhisperer
      @TheLawnWhisperer  3 роки тому

      This is the easiest and most cost effective way for homeowners to treat insects in their lawn. It’s easy, cheap, and effective 👍

    • @mikez7842
      @mikez7842 3 роки тому

      @@TheLawnWhisperer I understand that. It’s not really low cost if you’re continually dealing with fresh hatchling every 14 days. Breaking the cycle of the females hiding in your yard will benefit the home owner.
      So I’m talking about long term control. Those three ingredients together will give you long term control for pennies on the dollar.

I sprayed the patio light right outside my door..... so far so good with mosquitos and keeping bugs out, but tonight, 6 days after spraying (no rain for 48 hours after I sprayed) when I was out at night with patio light on, the flies were BAD right at the light... swarming the light.... I sprayed the light and surrounding part of the house by the light... this was the 1st time since I sprayed that I went outside with patio light on..... will the flies that kept hitting the light eventually die off from the residual of the bifen it (7.9%) or is bifen just not effective for flies that are attracted to the light?
