When other comedians would line up for Don Rickles to insult them - that should tell you something. Nothing but respect. Being insulted by Don was a badge of honor.
Carrey is just a Jery Lewis wannabe. He's had no original idea or comedic bit in his entire career. You can see it all in Lewis' films and others... aside from being a political troll and douchebag....
Aside from very few of his movies, Jim Carrey is not funny... He desperately wants to be funny and have some strange face-muscles, but sorry, he himself was never that funny.
I keep watching this clip over and over. Don was truly a talented entertainer. This clip is a real treat, because over Don’s right shoulder is one of our greatest actors, Gregory Peck.
I had the pleasure of saying good morning to Don walking across the Hilton Casino floor said good to him and he said good morning back one of the greatest will miss you Don
I feel soooo old now. As a kid I grow up with John Wayne movies and all this AMAZING, unbelivable talented artists of the '40s,' 50s, '60s,' 70s, '80s .... We cannot live without landmarks, the light beacons that guided us throu life even more than our family.
Don Rickles has a magical quality when he roasts people. He can just call you trash to your face but still make you laugh. I’ve seen comedians make their targets uncomfortable during roasts but Don could say anything during a roast and have his target in stitches. Rest In Peace legend.
Why i keep going back to various don Rickles clips, is the fact he brought all ethnic qualities, genders, religions, together for a funnier look at life and not too take it so serious. A true great ahead of his time, who personally, got better with age! Rip Don, i had a cookie and went away!
Him always picking on others was awesome and always watch him over and over again great comedian and will always be missed R.i.p. Don Rickles. you always had great stuff and thanks for the laughs

I'm 64, married 37 years. Before cable here in Brooklyn, when my wife and I got married, a couple of years before VCRs (jeez, this sounds like a Rickles set-up line) the both of us would check out TV Guide magazine (remember print?) to see when Rickles was on Carson and stay up late. By 1982 or '83 one of the reasons why we got a VCR was to record unique live TV performances... invariably most were about Rickles. He was an insult comedian, who was not insulting. He laughed with you, never at you. He went close to the line, on the line, and over it sometimes, yet never cursed, etc. and was never mean spirited. What a loss to all of us this year. R.I.P. to Don Rickles.

Met Clint on the filming of "Midnight in the garden of good and evil ". I drove a car to the location and was invited to stay for the days shoot .He really is a very polite man .

I was maybe 10 in Bosnia, then Yugoslavia, when I watched Kelly's heroes. A superb movie. Clint Eastwood has been one of my best actors, but only recently have I found out what a roaster Don Rickles was. A "cold-blooded killer".
The last of the great ones and probably the best of his era. Not like today's lame comedians who use vulgarity and F bomb's as a huge part of their act. Jerry Seinfeld is the exception.
The genius of Rickles was he’d roast you, but always ended up saying something positive and his jokes weren’t meant as being malicious. That is why he had such a long career. The world is a little less funny without his humor.
Don Rickles wasn't funny. Don Rickles was absolutely HILARIOUS. An irreplaceable, one-of-a-kind comedic genius. We'll never see the likes of him ever again. RIP Don.

Even Mother Eastwood is laughing her ass off.
The man could generate more laughs in three minutes than most comedians today could get in a half hour.
jshudo44 sad that we lost this man in 2017. I loved this guy when i was a kid and still laugh at his jokes years later. Thanks for posting these.
Yes. This great, great man, Don Rickles, generated more laughs in three minutes then any human being on this earth in all eternity.
That is quite true but Dave Chappelle is not far behind.

Maybe the greatest comedian who ever lived. We are lucky to have had him even into his late 80’s. Guy was sharp till the end. May he Rest In Peace.
