Robin Williams was so brilliant at these events. He knew how to break the ice, make people laugh, and also call out the best parts of the person to be honored. He was brilliant! I’m sure I speak for all of us when I say we miss him.

There's never a dull moment when Robin Williams is kicking off an AFI tribute to a great actor such as Al Pacino. They were both great in the film "Insomnia" together.
These AFI awards should be released on DVD/Blu-Ray, they are far more interesting than the Oscars.

Very rarely do comedic actors win awards. He should have won one for Dead Poets Society, Patch Adams, and many more incredible performances, Good Will Hunting is another.

Few people have the ability to blow the house down like Robin Williams..This is an example of this...The energy that he was able to propel into the audience is second to none and you can feel it from the watching it on the video...one of kind and will be greatly missed.

Robin Williams was not just a comic. He was a persona, he was charismatic, and grabbed your attention if you liked it or not. I shed a tear for this man that let the demons take his life. I suffer with my own demons and if I had one wish it would be to listen to him for just 30 minutes.
I think many people have shed tears for Robin, myself included, it was several years after he left us before I could watch anything with him In it. Even now I sometimes get choked up and can only watch him for a few minutes.
The way he bowed down while saying, " For you, Godfather "... Oh God! Amazing. Just fuckin amazing. Williams must have loved and admired Pacino so dearly. Both greats of their craft. Love them. ❤
