Wow, I love that “Spoke soul into the room” and so goddamn true. Few things cooler than being a captivating storyteller and few things better to experience
The sister he is talking about actually turned out to be Jack’s real mother . She had him young and his grandmother adopted him . He found out later when both his mother and grandmother were deceased. He forgave them though
As good as it gets. “How do you write women so well?” “I start off with a man then remove all reason and accountability” Even in romcoms or dramas jacks lines are legendary
Wild Jack Nicholson is without a doubt one of the greatest actors in the history of cinema. Every performance is eye catching and every single time you see him the movies are all the better.
Jack Nicholson and Danny DeVito are childhood friends because their family members owned a hair salon together. Jack and Danny are both from New Jersey.
Yeah and I read that in some biographies about Jack Nicholson. Nicholson and DeVito were living in the same exact neighborhood they were best friends and practiced acting skills together because of the connections that these guys family had according to the biography. It's similar to Jack Nicholson and Warren Beatty being neighbors today and that Jack and Brando were neighbors until Brando's death.
+Joshua McLoughlin His son has that exact same smile. He's still very young, like 21 or so and he could lose a few pounds, but in 20 years he's going to be his fathers spitting image.
Danny DeVito story; my friend was on a commercial flight sitting next to Danny (First class of course). My friend obviously knew who he was, but never made one acknowledgement of it. They just had interesting conversations covering lots of topics. At the end of the flight, Mr. DeVito thanked him for the best flight he ever had. He said, obviously I’m recognized everywhere, but you didn’t make it about ME. I learned a lesson from that. My friend made no reference, not even the thoroughly worn out “ I like your work”. Nothing. Just two men discussing everything except Hollywood.
There is no one smoother or cooler than Jack. It oozes out of every pore of his body. It's sad that there are no real movie stars like Jack Nicholson left in Hollywood now.
I've seen this so many times. Those actresses All sat there stoned faced. Heck, I would have been Smiling, Raising my glass saying, Right On Jack! I 😘😎❤
Well admittedly they are very hard workers (or so I hear), but it seems a little bit frivolous to cheer on a bunch of actors. Seems to me that we need to appreciate people who really work in an area that deserves it. Doctors, scientists - y'know. Just seems like our priorities are mixed up.
This is, indeed, true. The masses tend to value athletic ability and acting over jobs that make a functional difference in our world. Our troops, our doctors, our firefighters, our law enforcement, our farmers, our charity workers, and many more deserve our praise and admiration in great volumes. Their hard work and sacrifices are what help us persevere.
@yellowcougar18 And the script for Batman Forever, including the deleted / alternate scenes, was much more dark and psychological than the theatrical cut. The studios were the oens who tried to make it as child friendly as possible. Schumacher had done a great job with the character in his version of the movie. Burton helped him, of course, and Schumacher said in an interview that when he was offered to direct he met with Tim and asked him, and Tim agreed after meeting with Joel and his writers.
Danny Devito spoke soul in the room. His way of storytelling is completely captivating. Look at the vibe in the room
Truth

Awkward not funny isn’t appealing
2:16 , Joe Pesci smoking a cigar at a table with Bob Dylan while Danny Devito makes a speech to Jack Nicholson... what a night
Now try to decide which one of them is the coolest and you'll start a war.
BTW it's Dylan
@@aarthurblack5491 Dylan
Dylan later said You really are a funny guy.
@@mikebradshaw6484 He will definitely asked "What do you mean I'm funny"?
Also from Jersey Joe Pesci!
Only a great actor can give such an entertaining speech
This must have been the coolest night ever with all those legends in one room! 🙌🏻
Jack's various grins and smiles and a lifted eyebrow is the height of his "acting". Love 💕 Jack Nicholson forever.
DeVito slayed it… awesome speech!
The Penguin talks about the Joker's immortality.
xlegionx Hehe. You're right :)
Joker was a big part of Penguin taking that role, in fact.
+Troy Mercer All work and No play makes Jack a dull boy
seal1 yes.

The sister he is talking about actually turned out to be Jack’s real mother . She had him young and his grandmother adopted him . He found out later when both his mother and grandmother were deceased. He forgave them though
Lol he said he was more impressed by their ability to keep it a secret than feeling shocked by it.
"She's my sister! She's my daughter! My sister, my daughter!"
That’s China town Jack
@Anub1s0
Wrong, it wasn't the one named Lorraine who was really his mother, it was the one named June. Get your facts straight.
@@peachesj4748 Lorraine must have been the sister that confirmed the secret after the Times reporter spilled the beans when he was interviewing him.
As good as it gets.

The only movie of that type I've ever loved and seen more than once. Probably 100 times. Only because of Jack. That line you quoted is the best.
Lmaoooo
God he’s so based

Danny says 'Hoffa". Camera goes directly to Pesci. The Irishman starred Pesci. Foreshadowing at it's best

Where do you think Scorsese got the idea?
It’s what it is.....
more accurately, he kills Hoffa.

Wow, Jack Nicholson's smile can be really creepy at times.

Jack Nicholson should be in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia as one of Frank's best friends.
