    I tried crafting while I was bored, turns out it was really fun.
    One day I need black pearl. Since I'm on FT I can't use market board. Welp time to level up fisher & goldsmith. When goldsmithing I need some ingot, time to level up smithy & armorer.
    It's so fun in the end I level cap all crafter & gatherer level before my battle jobs lol.

      Yeah that's usually how it goes. The fact that it is more than just a button press make it pretty fun to interact with.

    I’m new to this game and the crafting & gathering looked super daunting, but this video really helped me actually move forward with trying it so thank you❤

    Nicely done. There are a really serious lack of simple videos to describe crafting in this game. It drove me CRAZY when I started. This is what is needed.

    you didn't say where to get the crafting log or where to start...

    • @TheNastyNamazu
      @TheNastyNamazu  Місяць тому

      The log is unlocked when you unlock any crafter/gatherer, and like other jobs you unlock them by going to the blue quest in there corresponding guild in the three major cities.

    But do I really NEED crafting as a new player?
    Or will it they be useful at endgame for pots/enchants etc 🙂

      You never really need to mess with crafting and gathering, but it is something nice to do.
      There are mounts, glams, barding, etc. that you can get throughout the leveling process. For example once you get to Heavensward you can start doing the firmament where you can being working towards several mounts while you level.
      Also it's one of the best ways to get grand company seals(at least for the early ranks) allowing you easy access to things like ventures, glamour prism, glams and of course ranks(also doing these dailies are very easy way to level them)

    Are those grey squares on the right a quick change of your jobs? If so how do you do that! Thanks

    When do you recommend a sprout 🌱 to do this? Two of my friends and I started a couple of days ago.

    • @TheNastyNamazu

      Around level 20 when the main story has you join your grand company. What I recommend is as you go through the 3 main cities for the story you pick up all the jobs then when you join the grand company you do the daily turn-ins to passively level.
      As for the job quest you can do them in waves. When you start to feel that you crafting gear is getting outdated, and its getting to hard to make the daily turn-ins you can then put aside some time to do the quests and upgrade your gear.

      Personally I wouldn’t recommend doing any crafting/gathering until you unlock the firmament in heavenwards post content since it’s way way faster to level them up, unless you find them to be fun and then do them whenever since fun is the most important thing regardless

    When EQ2 launched crafting could kill you. That was quickly changed.

    My main thing is WHERE are the quest givers. I joined a few crafting guilds but can't craft anything.

    • @TheNastyNamazu
      @TheNastyNamazu  4 місяці тому

      The quests are almost always in the guild for the corresponding job, or if you go to any of the major three cities and see a blue quest mark it's likely a job quest. Also you have to make sure to equip the weapon(tool) before your able to craft from the crafting menu.

      It is one of the best ways to make gil at late game, crafted gear is actually to the go to when new raids come out, You can repair your own gear, and their are several mounts/glamours(outfits) that can be obtained by through leveling it.
      It's not required but it does tend to be something that many people enjoy. It also makes it so you don't have to ask other to craft things for you. That being said if you don't like it's not required you can always buy things like crafted gear, food, pots, etc off the market board

    You do not show where the quest givers are to start the gathering and crafting jobs a person decides to start. You also have to equip gear and change them in respect to the corresponding craft or gathering type. I would think as a beginners guide you would have shown this?
