Hand's down, ONE OF, IF NOT THE BEST technical 'how to' videos I have ever seen! And I've seen A LOT. Everything is well described, well explained, reasons for everything given, well videoed and edited. This guy is not only knows his stuff, but is articulate as well! Thanks for doing such a fantastic job!

@@EliminatorPerformance I couldn't agree more about this detailed instruction video being thorough & complete. Great job and thank you! However, once I finished cleaning the parts well & dried I had an issue while re-assembling the carburetor, specifically the small bowl drain plug & that small O - Ring that seats inside the bowl drain plug. I found out the hard way how it can get pinched & rip when turning the plug with the hex tool. I used 3in1 Oil on the O - Ring, but it was a little stretched/worn & didn't want to sink into the groove when attempting the 1/4 turn required for it to seal properly & the little tabs on the plug that grip the tabs of the inside end of the hole cracked, rendering the plug itself useless as well as it's o-ring. The rest of the carburator went back together like new with no problem sealing the bowl, the jets cartridge, floater, needle, etc...
The only issue is the plug & o-ring. I see replacement #'s for the entire Carburetor or Jet cartridge that you've left here in the description but can I just get the bowl plug & small o-ring replaced, as opposed to replacing the entire Carburetor & do you have the parts #'s for only that so that I can order them, please? I would appreciate it greatly!!! Again your videos are easily the best on UA-cam, hands down. Please reply

I googled for info on that model with a plastic carburetor and viewed your video. You saved me a repair bill and the possibility of having to purchase a new mower. Thank you.

This may be the best 'how-to' repair video I've seen. Solid, friendly advice with a good pace, excellent close-ups, and simple steps. It includes re-assembly details and gotchas that others often gloss over. I followed step-by-step, pausing the video as I went. The only issue in my repair was due to my ignorance. I sent the lawnmower blade out for sharpening and tried to start the mower without it. OUCH! The kickback from the pull cord almost yanked my hand off my arm at the wrist! Apparently, this motor uses the blade as flywheel weight and kicks back with a vengeance without it. Thanks again for the quality video!

I have a DR trimmer with a Briggs & Stratton 6.75 engine. Couldn’t get it to start. It would fire with starting fluid and then stop so I guessed I had a fuel problem. At 82 I wasn’t sure I was up to tackling a carburetor clean out never having ventured inside an engine before but watching your excellent video convinced me to give it a try. I watched a dozen videos and must tell you yours is absolutely the clearest step by step complete explanation with excellent video! You even showed how to remove the engine cover which none of the other videos thought to include. I was about ready to break it off after removing the 2 bolts. I knew you were a premier UA-cam instructor when you took the time to list the part number for the o-ring around the top of the fuel jets assembly which might become damaged during take apart. The gold at the end of the rainbow was when my B & S started and ran perfectly on the first pull. I appreciate the time you take to make such an excellent, detailed how-to video. Absolutely one of the best most detailed how to videos I’ve seen. Attention to detail and clear and concise instructions. I’ve cleaned numerous dirt bikes, and quad carburetors over the years but never a plastic one. You made it very easy to take care of my problem. I have a Husqvarna 3100 power washer which was made by Briggs & Stratton that wouldn’t start and I’ve heard that you just throw the plastic carburetors away and buy a new one. Not the case. Thanks for all your help.

My Troy Built mower with the same Briggs and Stratton engine/carburetor wouldn't start after sitting all winter. I've never messed with small engines or carburetors, but I found this video and it seemed easy enough. Followed it exactly, took apart the carb, cleaned up the fuel tank and fuel line - which is where the problem was. My screen at the bottom of the fuel tank was gunked up with old gas and when filled with water nothing flowed out. Anyways, learned a lot from this video and it solved my problem and saved me a bunch of money too. Thanks!

Nice tip on trimming the choke lever!
Many seem to hate these plastic carbs, but I love 'em. Consider the simplicity, ease of service, entire jet system pops right out, and NO CORROSION, EVER! Depending on the equipment, you can even do the clean and not even remove it from the engine.

However, do simplify some procedures, since the interiors are pretty clean after opening it up, just pop the cartridge up ( using those sewing package needles and tool from Dollar Store) clear slightly enlarge the main jet, mouth blow to ensure all holes are unplug ... Reinstall accordingly !
One pull started and stay on repeatedly,
    Self satisfaction 😅hank

I bought a Snapper mower from Walmart it has the B&S 725EXI engine. I used it one whole season, then emptied the gas tank and put it away for winter. Got it out the following spring , filled it with gas, pulled on the cord and it would NOT start. Replaced the spark plug then the air filter. STILL NO DICE. Threw my hands up in the air and put it back in the garage, used the old mower I had on stand by since I knew it worked. Flash forward 3 seasons I see this video and the one about the choke system design flaw, I drag out the mower and apply everything you have in these two videos, pull on the cord and away she goes like a champ!!! DUDE!! YOU ARE THE MAN!!!! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with the world. I was already going to wheel it out to alley for spring cleaning, NOW I can use it till the cows come home.

Thanks. I have a Swisher string trimmer with a Briggs and Stratton 675 EFI engine, and found this video helpful in figuring out how to remove the carb so I could de-gunk it. The only differences from what was shown in the video was that the screws holding the engine cover on has a #20 Torx head, and I found it easier to reconnect the engine breather to the air filter housing prior to reinstalling the engine cover. Great instructions.

You saved me..mower died after about 10 minutes into a one hour now. Local engine store didn't have this carb. Followed your instructions and was back in business. One thing I didn't have was the hex bolt for the bowl so I just hoped it was fairly clean. Running like new! You saved me tons of time and some money! Thank you!

Glad to hear you're back up and running Adam. If you don't mind, consider leaving me a Google review? Most of my customers are older and don't use computers much, so I'm trying to boost my reviews. Thanks for watching!

Excellent video, my mower was "surging", I didn't find anything obvious like the chunks in the video but after cleaning the carburetor, cleaning the tank and using new non-ethanol gas the mower works great, thanks.
