Good job. I'm a brazilian Trapp owner. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🇧🇷
I watched some other videos before I cleaned my carb and this one after. I wish I had watched this one first because it's the best by far!
One of the most profusely explained instructions on cleaning and adjusting B&S small engine plastic carbs. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the great tutorial. I use Torch Cleaner files to probe Main Jet. I used a small flat blade screwdriver to pop out the plastic Main jet/emulsion tube which has 3 small holes in its length. Mine was black and is secured by a tiny O ring. There is a flat spot on the top to pry it out. Work carefully! Mine is the 5 bolt model.
Be sure to seat it flush on reassembly. Carefully using a fine flat file I filed the bolt hole bosses adjacent to the block where the carb base was warped. This reduced the gap somewhat. I used some Permatex Aircraft sealant along the joint between those bolt holes.
I used a straight edge to see the warpage left between the 2 holes. That leak area sometimes accounts for the oily mess on the carb and block in that area I was told. Mine had the Diaphragm on the Carb side instead of the Tank side.
Seems right, but I reassembled with the diaphragm on the Tank side, then the gasket. Edited.
I believe this to be the best instructional video on the refurbishment of a B&S carburettor that I have watched to date. It’s a clear and concise step by step guide for someone with only basic workshop tools and knowledge.
Thanks for watching Pete!
I was just thinking that, great video.
I've paid for someone to "fix" my carburetor several times. They never took it apart like this (I always watch to try and learn) but did something to unclog it. I kept having problems so decided to do it myself. Thanks to this video I discovered I was missing a gasket. I disassembled the carburetor and cleaned it myself and will do all my own small engine work from now on. Next up, oil change LOL
I've watched a number of these in anticipation of cleaning my scarifier carburetor. This has been the best and most confidence building by some way. Thank you
Thanks for watching!
To point and no story telling
Great way to teach and not waste time
I watched it all the way to the end and then took it to the shop to get fixed
Best how to video on this carburetor cleaning I have seen yet.
Try Taryl fixes all channel
Well done. Short and to the point.
Got a 'broken' lawn mower from my dad. Hadn't run in 10 years. Quick trip to Lowes for some parts and I'm up and running! Had to spray some starter fluid in the carb to get it to start. Thanks for the clear and stellar video!
Just to say thanks…..diaphragm/gasket change, new spark plug….job done…Cheers 👍👍
Awesome, thanks for watching!
This helped me out a tremendous amount. After the diaphragm replacement it fixed my mower.
Big appreciation mate. I'm a beginner and I found this video the best.,, every thing in perfect details and easy to understand
Literally only 15 minutes of work and my Briggs & Stratton pressure washer started up again and ran just fine. You even addressed my minor oil leak I found. Great video my Guy
Glad it helped, thanks for watching!
Great video, since I have one just like it. My problem was a missing governor spring!! Thanks for including the spring description and PN in the memo section for this video!! I couldn't find it on my own; doing my own searching.
Well filmed and very thoroughly explained. Thanks!
Great video. Followed this and it fixed my “hunting” issues.
Wow,....first guy to get the o-ring and locking ring right.
Thanks for watching!
Easiest carburetor for anyone to clean just need to be sure you change the gasket and diaphragm to ensure no issues like air leakage. Nice tutorial.
I thought I had it but your video took me places I haven't been. Brilliantly clear and concise
(Hopefully it has saved me buying a new mower)
Thank you for your careful thorough explanation.
Excellent video and instruction for my used mower. Thank you.
Thanks buddy great video
Excellent teaching style, detailed content anl clear filming
Thanks for watching!
Great video!!!! Got my pressure washer running again… thank you!
Very concise and detailed video. I have this same engine and carb. Learned some things I should be doing whenever I remove and clean my carb.
Thanks for watching!
Fantastic video! Very thorough. Mine wasn't starting, so I went through the whole process. Took out the carb and tank, cleaned it all with carb cleaner before taking it apart. Took it apart, cleaned everything thoroughly. Washed inside the tank, then re-assembled, fresh fuel! First start and it started. Smoked a bit, so I checked the oil; oil was low, refilled the oil and restarted. Smoke is gone and engine runs like a champ. Thank you!
Thanks and Good Day Eh!
Very clear and detailed. Great .
Thanks for watching!
Good demonstration of skill
Absolutely excellent video! Thanks for the knowledge.

This is the first video I ever seen with zero dislikes. Also thanks because this fixed a lawnmower I got for free.
Thanks for watching!
I just wanted to know what (and where) the carburetor is, lol, but I watched the whole thing! Impressively thorough cleaning. Wow!
I've heard the phrase "Could be a dirty carburetor." in my life, but had NO idea what that meant, until now.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I followed your directions to a tee and it worked like a charm. Thank you again for your knowledge!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for taking the time to make this.
By far the BEST video on these little plastic carburetors. GREAT JOB!!

Thanks for watching!
Good easy video to follow and worked well for me. Thankyou
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for that. I never thought of that method. One added bonus is the lawn gets cleaned as well :)
Believe it or not, the Spray Nine doesn't kill the grass, and there's hardly any fuel in there because I drain it out and let it sit for a bit!
Thanks for watching!
Great tips! Really helped me out while I'm fixing an old mower of ours!
Thanks for watching!
@@EliminatorPerformance Have you done a video on how to set the gap on a Briggs and Stratton engine?
Thank you
Great video
Love that you use spray nine , great video . I think this series of engine is one of the best briggs engines ever made . Reliable ,easy to service and maintain , long lasting engine . Much better than the new plastic crap of today .
Spray nine is good stuff, these carbs are easy to clean. Thanks for watching!
Great video! Very helpful! Thanks!
I like this demo; the explanation & images are spot on - Thank you !!
Please make the other demo of "Tear ofd and re-assembly the main part of Lawnmower"
Thanks for watching!
Very helpful video, thanks!
Great help! Thanks for sharing
Thanks mate :) You save me a lot time with this video!
Thank you ever so much my good man you are so thank you thank you again
Great video. Sure helped me out - I have this model and this spring it wouldn't start. Normally I would have taken it to a dealer but this video showed me exactly what I needed to do to fix this. Thanks man!!!
I think my dealer needs to watch this :)
Good Video! Thanks for sharing. Showed me exactly what I needed to see/know.
Thanks for watching!
Excellent video!
Thanks so much. Very good og pro tuturial . Regards from a happy amateur mechanic :)
Great video, thanks. So easy, came apart like dream.
Thanks for watching!
I believe you addressed the problem I'm having with my B&S mower. It tries to start after pushing the primer bulb but then quickly quits. I'll make sure that port you showed is good and clean. Great cleaning tips!
Thanks for watching!
Great job! Thank you.
Excellent presentation, thanks Mate ;-)
Brilliant Video - thanks heaps
I have 2 of these cursed carb/gas tank combos. Neither will draw any gas, using the primer bulb. One viewer mentioned the ball/spring check valve behind the primer. I see nothing like that in either of mine. Perhaps that is why it won’t draw any fuel? I see you included the B&S p/n for them. Def grateful for that. Hope it’s easy to replace. Thanks for the excellent videos btw. Snowblower season is coming soon. I am almost done restoring my old 1960s 3stage…
beautiful explaination!
New subscriber here in Winnipeg Mb. Thanks for your sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Spot on. Promoting you to honorary Aussie.
Good work fella....saved me a packet
Excellent, much appreciated.
I like your channel and videos. That being said, carburetor cleaner, a very thin wire, and an air compressor are all you need to clean s carburetor.
Interesting,useful information thanks for showing.
Thanks for watching Terry!
Cool vid dude.helped me out loads.spot on.
Would you please do a video on how to test the primer in a carb. In a tacumsia 3.5 hp vertical. And how to get in there and deal with that check valve & make it work like it should. Thank you
Foarte bun video
Datorită vouă am reparat carburatorul❤
Very good video, wish I had it when I first cleaned one of these carbs some years back. I ended up using a one dollar squirt bottle filled with water and canned air (the kind used to clean electronics) and was just very careful. Funnily enough, soon I'm going to clean the same exact carb again so was looking to see if I even did it right. This time, however, I'm probably going to have to replace some things on it. It's been sitting outside for literally four years, but it's not seized and I need a mower, so...
Good luck, and thanks for watching!
You like Spray nine as much as I do , Great video .
Love that stuff, and Permatex hooked me up so I always give em a shout-out!
Legendary.. thanks so much.. it’s running great after that..
Thanks for watching!
Great job!
Many thanks for this very interesting video. A question if I may about front wheel adjustment. My newly acquired Classic 35 mower does not have a height adjusting handle for the front wheels on either side of as in your video. (There are adjusters each side for the back wheels). At present the bodywork runs too close to the grass level. Is there an adjusting tool available or do you have an alternative simple solution please? Many thanks in anticipation of any advice received .
Fantastic video !! 👍👍
Thanks for watching!
Great video. Really appreciated.
Thanks for watching!
Well explained but I also saw a version where the foam air filter is soaked in light oil before it's installed - in order to effectively remove dust from the intake. What's your view ? Thanks for a great video.
Thanks for good info.
Thanks for telling me how to adjust the throttle by bending that tab my old mower rips now.
Thanks for watching!
Good vid, helped me a lot
Thanks man!
Bravo for the movie. My new mower rusted one season and I took it to the service for sheet metal replacement. He's been smoking blue all season since. what could be the reason? greetings .
Good day Boy you would not have to choke that one, that dirty filter should do it for you. Yrs ago I bought a lawn mower "Canadiana" deck rotted out I think it had same carb. It had roller bearings wheels which I put on another machine. Thanks nice video
Thank you
Great instructional video. Do they take the same diaphragm part number no matter if they have 5 or 6 screws holding the carb to the tank?
I see that you only listed one part number. Thanks
Great tip for getting the carby off the throttle lever, love the vid but i'm in Australia and can't seem to make any correlation between all the no's for the carby , diaphram and gaskets mines a 550 series 158cc any suggestions.
Very well explained ..you d man
Really helpful
Excellent! Did the throttle link rod go to a hand throttle or a flywheel flapper?
You do great videos thank for the info on your channl
Great video thankyou
Good explanation and good video. I was just wondering why you used water to clean ? I mean, if any of the parts are not dry completely, water will get into the fuel and engine. Wouldn't it be safer to use carb cleaner ???
Thanks mate, your the man.
Thanks for watching!
