I am surprise they didn’t call you yet to see how the machines are doing for you. I got one machine from a dealer and I got a call in couple months. I absolutely love everyone at melco. I miss them since I stopped embroidery due to health issues. But I am coming back! Haha Good luck to you!
Bought my first Melco EMT 16!! Going to have a two day training in my home next week! Can’t wait. People are already putting in orders and I don’t know how to use it yet lol. Thanks for the video. No long drawn out discussion. Got to the point 👍
Great recap video I am in the promo business and looking to by a machine for smaller jobs. Considering the Melco along with the Brother PR1550x. Since I had a PR1000e in the past. Quite familiar with it. I like your set up and keep up the good work.
I have 2 old XT machines that are workhorses, they have paid for themselves 20x over but the trimming is shitty! I am looking at purchasing new because I can not get the trimmers to cut at all anymore. Did you have issues with the old style trimmers?
My XT has been a work horse too, but same here recently it has been trimming like crap. It may be time for a new trimmer knife. I have to replace mine about every 3 or 4 years. Have you tried replacing yours? Also make sure there is no wax buildup from the thread inside of the top of the thread guide just before it comes out the needle plate. Hit me up on Instagram @parsons_designs and I can send you some photos. I just had to get that gunk out of mine.
Thanks for the info - what was the out the door price? I want to get into embroidery but haven’t had success finding out what’s the entry price for one of these machines.
For a 2 machine bundles I think its around $24,999.00 & then what software and digitizing options you choose I believe is extra. Keep an eye out for sales as the have option. You can Also ask about used or refurbished equipment too.
Wow great question, That would be a great video to make. My Amaya XT is old but a trooper. I used to run 6 of them at another business. I do love my Amaya it just works great. The new EMTX machines are doing pretty good but there is a reason I didn’t trade it in when we upgraded.
@@ParsonsDesigns really I just picked up an Amaya really good condition excited to start drove 4 hours to pick it up but yeah would love to see comparison video
@@Innercityprintshop Nice! Just go through the main steps and set everything back to zero and you’ll be ready to rock ‘n’ roll 👊 exciting. I got the one I have used too. It’s been a great investment.
@dkathyrosten1694 Kind of depends on the fabric and font, but they are ok. I do lots of hats and each job has its own challenges but small lettering on hats can be difficult. The micro fonts in the software are designed to work best
Thanks, I just wanted to know because I thought you mentioned something about not liking small stitches on the EMT16plus, so I was curious if the X was better.
I’m thinking we may need to add more machines to our business as we are using them a lot and the 16X seams to be handling jobs like a champ. A few tweaks and adjustments I had to do that I hope to share in future videos.
I have done some fake leather upholstery for hat patches and am working on that video to show the process I did to make them. Melco machines do really good with thick material.
Oh it's like a car sales person. They talk financing and not the price of the car. Never buy something based on what you pay per month. Always negotiate a price and then talk financing. It's the oldest trick in the book.
These machines are absolute trash. I have 3 all broken as of today. One broke after a month, second about a year and now my last one 1.5 years. They broke in that order becayse i used one when the other broke, or they probably would have all broke closer to one another
I can‘t confirm your expierience. We work about 14 years with melco. The first XT works again, we changed the trimmer cable, cost maybe 50$. Now the machine it is old and the main board has a trouble, the machine stich well but the needle change only work sometimes. Not a big Problem us, we use for 1 color jobs, we have a lot of this stuff. I wan‘t sell it, it works and makes money. The XTS that we have works and works and works without invested 5$ for parts. This is maybe the best machine that melco build it. The first EMT16 (no Plus) are shit, the EMT 16 plus are better. The work but the bobbin tension it is a pain, every a couple of hours it is to adjust. Also thread trimming can be a pain. Our 2 niw works ok, not good but we make money with it. Our newest EMT16X it is too new, I can‘t say bad things about it. They stich well without troubles. The only thing that we noticed, the look of stitching from the newer machine is not equal to the old one XTS. The older stich taller, small letters and lines are thiner, the new one stich bolder. The only thing to resolve it is to adjust in Designshop.
Cool to see what the commercial machines can do. I hobby level embroidery with a single needle machine.
Great video, Thanks for sharing your input on this machine.

Thank you and Congratulations on your machine.
How is that going now ?
So interesting. Had similiar experiences. Thank you for sharing yout thoughts!
Thanks. I was wondering about how the software works.
Straight forward talks. I like that. Other are BS. Keep it up
Thank you so much.

Replace the blades. They don’t last forever

I hate when companies call and check in. If I need something, I’ll call.
Cool
What extra items beside magnetic hoops? Table or fast clamp? Just pulling together order 😊
It should come with magnet hoops in your order. The hooping table is really good. I’m actually working on a review of the fast clamp.
I am looking to buy a Melco for hopdies and t-shirts. Which one should I go for you think?
The Melco EMT16X is what I’m using and it is better than their older PLUS models like the one I traded into Melco in a past video.
Hey which machine do u love more the 16x or Amaya what’s the difference between those two

Started in 07 also have the XT🩷then got a couple more XTSs in 13. They run.
I love those machies.
