You have given the best info on this I have seen! Immediately fixed my issue. I was ready to torch both of mine. Tech support just wanted me to run the gauntlet of steps and pages of the manual. You sir are AWESOME!!!!!
AWESOME! I’m so glad it worked for you too. I hate Melco’s tech support, they should be teaching us ways to keep these machines running and value their customers a little more. It would make a world of difference for Melco.
Gosh, your video is brilliant and so informative! I would have thought the problem was the dreaded Richardson hat so it’s good to know I can check my trimmer if it happens to me again. Thanks so much for taking the time to help out the rest of us! Barbara in Colorado
Thank you for this video!! I have had so many trim issue since I got my EMT 16x's and thought it was because I am still 'new' to embroidery. I even stopped the video to go take of my needle plates and sure enough they were both BT ones. Called tech support and new ones are being sent out. Great to find such a honest, helpful video!
Great video! Thanks for your 'pro' tip! I got a pro tip for you - at 15:40 == When the embroidery is finished don‘t remove the hoop. Turn the garment inside out and cut the backing with a seam ripper. Cut real close to the embroidery. Looks nicer and is much faster than cutting with scissors.
We were having the same issue this weekend with a hat order we had. It was a nightmare. Now I know I need to replace the knife since we don’t have the BT on the needle plate. Thanks for this video!
It’s kind of why I started talking more about Melco on this UA-cam channel. Melco support has gotten better but has room for improvement. I would love to build a community here to support each other share tips and suggestions so we can all be more successful.
Unfortunately it doesn’t work like that. The part you would want to sharpen stays inside the needle plate. I would love that though! I said the same thing to Melco. What not make it able to be sharpened. 🤔
I’m glad your up and running.
Two weeks is Unsatisfactory!
It really is!

Thanks you so much. I would love to hear back about how your trimming is with the new needle plant.

Your welcome 👊 Would love to know when you replace the knife only if it makes your trimming better like it’s supposed to.
Yes that is annoying and time robbing. This video has real value or Melco owners. Thanks for posting.
Thanks so much for the support 👊
Great job....thanks for sharing.
Sending Favor, Prosperity, Health, Grace & Joy ....🤗♥️😁
Hi Sallie so good to see your comments 😍
How good is the Melco support , I’m planning to get the 16x

Hmmm same here 😟 I’m paying a lot $$$ for this to continue to happen. I’ve had this machine for six months.
Why not just the knife and sharpen it?
