Embroidery Trimming Fix

I started having problems with trims on one of our Melco EMT 16X machines. I made a call to tech support after seeing a video Melco posted that might fix my issues so I gave it a shot. You will have to replace your Needle plate for this upgrade if you have a "BT" on the under side of it. They each have their place. I feel like the Fast clamp is more out of the box but there has been times that the hoop master is the only option.

    How do I keep the Melco bravo from pushing out the hat when done stitching? The brim of the hat hits the back of where the needles are?

      Go to tools, settings, machine, and uncheck the box that says “hoop forward at end of design”

    Thanks for another fabulous video. Last year I tried to put three designs on hats but that was a disaster. I ended up doing them all separately : three hundred hoopings for the hundred-hat order. Next time I’ll try to do two at once. Thanks for the motivation! AND you did it on a Richardson hat, my nemesis! Barbara in Colorado

      Richardson manufactures in 3 different countries. As close as we are to their product as embroidery shops you will eventually able to tell the difference between locations as you hoop and run hundreds of their hats.

    Why not just the knife and sharpen it?

    • @ParsonsDesigns
      @ParsonsDesigns Місяць тому

      Unfortunately it doesn’t work like that. The part you would want to sharpen stays inside the needle plate. I would love that though! I said the same thing to Melco. What not make it able to be sharpened. 🤔

    Great video! Thanks for your 'pro' tip! I got a pro tip for you - at 15:40 == When the embroidery is finished don‘t remove the hoop. Turn the garment inside out and cut the backing with a seam ripper. Cut real close to the embroidery. Looks nicer and is much faster than cutting with scissors.

    Hi. Found out 4 years ago that my 16+ was shit and it is what you say, bad in trim. The S-95 knife system from Bernina is shit. And they wont admit it. So, i had to bye an upgrade so now it workes as a 16X. Problem solved. It cost me 2000 $ to fix it. So fuck Melco and Bernina.

    • @ParsonsDesigns
      @ParsonsDesigns 4 місяці тому

      Yeah I feel like the 16Plus should have been a recall issue. I get this message a lot. I was faced with that same decision upgrade my 16Plus or trade it for the 16X 🤔 of course this is after years of messing and fighting with the 16Plus that I finally paid it off and now have a & $24,000 bill to pay over the next 5 years. This goes to show a real lack of integrity on Melos part to hear the customers who use their product. Thanks for sharing

      That is a great question! You are right and very good observation. We found that it also helps on thin or stretchy materials like Nike, Under armor or Sport tech to keep the stitching registration in place better. Especially if a design has thin lettering. You should give it a try.
