I'm an old dude with an '89 Supercharged MR2. I thought there was waaaay too many GR86's and BRZ's at this event(Yes,, I know it's the spiritual successor of the AE86 but damn). Even though it was an AE86 event,, man I would've loved if at least one first gen AW11 would've represented and drove in. Not a one. I was surprised. The new generation is taking over,, as you said.

Do you see a lot of S12 Silvias in Japan? I always wondered why they never got as popular as the AE86 when they seem very similar. Is it just because of DK and Initial D? The 4AGE is a plus too.

As much as I like the first body of the GR86, I like the second one less. In the first body, it looked unique. In the second, it became more like some mass-produced Honda or Hyundai. With the second body, they depersonalized it, deprived it of charm. Oh-oh-oh, why did they do that? Big mistake:(
