- I went to the very first all Japan 4AGE festival!
There were over 500 cars in attendance and all were 4a-ge powered. There were AE86, AE82, AE92, AE101, AE111, AW11 and many more cars with the iconic engine. 16 valves, 20 valves, ITBs & forced induction. There was even a funky engine from Office Tomitaku. I got to make a lot new friends and look forward to coming back again.

Love it. The only 4AGE powered cars missing were the Chevy Nova Twin cam and the Geo Prizm GSi (my personal favorite), would love to see someone find either of those super rare things (most got sent to the scrapper long ago)

I live in a country where people place 4a-ge as sporty engine in stainless steel jeeps. Glad to see these where the original power plant comes from.
So awesome to see people appreciate the 20v! (And 4ages in general) Seems like in New Zealand they’re a dime a dozen and get beat on. I love my 20v blacktop turbo :)

Crazy, I think we saw every possible flavour of 4AGE powered Toyota in this video but I couldn't spot one AE9x Sprinter Cielo :(
I own an AE93 Seca SX in Australia, it's our version of the Sprinter Cielo, one of the less-loved 4AGE cars due to the wacky looks, it was a fairly competitive car in the 90s in the Australian Super Tourers Championship. Funnily enough, despite us never getting the AE82 FX-GT, Toyota Australia imported a bunch of FX-GTs for racing in the ASTC, and they performed better than the 5 door AE82 twincams we commonly got here.
Yeah the secas never really got love. I had a ae92 sx corolla, white. Love it. Was never a fan of the secas but I have seen some done up really nice. They are growing on me lol.
@@vinnynoxy Toyota only offered the SX in White or Red from memory - I've got a Blacktop sitting in the shed for when I can be bothered cobbling it all together, that, some panel beating and an ASTC Colin Bond tribute livery and I'll be happy

AE110's & AE111's were factory fitted with the 4AGE 20V in some parts of the world, like here in South Africa.

I still think that the AE-82 , FX is such fast track car , light very square ( wide) .
But , the AE 86 is the in another league , more all around .

9:01 sounds like similar engineering ideas to the Ford "REVO knuckle" which was used to greatly reduce torque steer on the Mark 2 Focus RS (300hp inline 5 turbocharged)

Wow. Just Wow. Really excited about the more obscure stuff like the Carina, AE82 GT Sedan, Sprinter 5 door, and that 20v wagon! I saw the one AE101 FX GT, but did not a single AE92 FXGT hatch show up? My car must be rare! The unmodified cars were also so cool. Not as much FX/AE82 footage as I would have expected. Are you holding back for another video?
I don't think any AE92 FXGTs were there. I have a follow up walking around video I'll be posting up in the next week so you can see every car at the event.
14:00 In 2009, I moved to Japan during my first assignment in the military and had a 7th gen like this one. I had to sell the car because LHD wasn't allowed at the time. That same year afterward, I had heard they changed the rule. I was so dissapointed.

1988, really ? I agree that they are rare, but in France i spotted 2 in meetings last year (chika japan & mcm Paris meet (yes the australians)), other than mine. I also see the 1.3 carb at least once per year on the road
