Wangan Racing Nights With Takashi's R34 Skyline

- I met up with with a long time friend Takashi-san, a key person in Tokyo's underground car culture, for this video. The idea was to check out how his ER34 Skyline has evolved ever since I shot the car back in 2015 when he completed the first phase of the transformation.
This project was originally supposed to be a missile, a practice drift car, however things got a little out of hand for Takashi and he ended up creating one of the cleanest GT-ts out there. We met in Odaiba, drove into central Tokyo to park up on Nihonbashi bridge and then headed to Umihoraru PA for a chilled Friday night meet.

This is probably my favourite JDM channel atm. No annoying hype and fanboying. Simply a chill mood with excellent footage from a guy who knows what he's talking about.

That 190E blew my mind - would love to see an episode on rare Tommykairas! I also saw a very rare Tommykaira Subaru Legacy wagon in Chiba earlier this year - super curious about the stories behind those cars.

The B-Rolls are crazy good! I really like the gauges under the rearview mirror, it adds so much ambiance at night. I don't know how i feel about the third break light though. But all in all, it is a really cool build 👍 I also like the japanese talisman on the keychain!
if everyone ran 500 hp cars car culture would be more realistic and accessible.

What an incredibly clean R34... pretty close to how I'd build one, especially in terms of power. I also love that he runs Porsche bucketseats. Tbh, I agree that the GTTs don't get the attention they deserve, 'cause there's some really cool builds out there. Only thing is, you gotta tell him to get an alignment. His wheel isn't straight XD

what kind of kkk turbo is it. a k24 or k26. 450bhp is kind of low for an k26 but to high for an k24. that kind of confusing. probably in the end it is one of those special sard blitz kkk's that are kind of custom anyway. pretty wierd to see those turbos not in an audi, vw or porsche.

@Dino question for you so Larry Chen I believe did an episode on car mods being illegal in 🇯🇵 & car owners risk their cars impounded. Does Takashi have to deal with this issue?
No there aren’t crazy strict guidelines, just have to be smart about it
@@dino_dc so you can have mods but don’t go overboard? I watched that episode and was very confused as to why mods are illegal yet they sell & make them there and the fact that some people have to scout where the cops are so that they can avoid those routes and also having to tow your car to a car meet is just so ridiculous!
