Joe Brokenstrang It is exactly how HiddenWen described it. Seinfeld's whole act is essentially observational comedy, which is literally "based on the commonplace aspects of everyday life.", to quote Wikipedia.
There's a lot of nostalgia behind it. At this point he's an icon. If you have a chance to see him live and you don't go and he were to die you might regret it. Have I seen funnier comedians live? Yes. But I have never been disappointed in Seinfeld's live comedy.
Universe The attrition rate of his material is very low, as opposed to stand ups like Louis CK or Chris Rock who trash their material every year and start over.
In this particular part, I prefer "they brand it, right in the side of the carton... tsssss" 🤣 But there are other great lines in this show. The "spring-loaded, pain-in-the-ass, Alcatraz-style faucets" at the airport, for example 🤣🤣

There's nothing remarkable about that. This video gets hundreds of views per day, so there have been thousands of people that have watched it on every possible date.
thing about his bits here is they always start with something really stupid and mundane. Like the watermelon bit, then he piles up on it over and over, becoming weirder and weirder, more brilliant. Then you realize why this guy is so successful. He really devoted his stuff into some of these.
Not the best comedian ever but a damn fine comedian. He is a man of great insight . I still think his TV programme was the greatest comedy show ever. Not even Curb tops Seinfeld.
The seedless watermelon part is so funny. I was just watching a video today about how someone accidentally got a defective seedless fruit and they just clone it.
so true about grocery stores, i've since found out that they purposely move stuff around so you get lost, this is with the (researched) intention you'll buy something you didn't come in for.
Seinfeld is a class act. He knows how to make people laugh without cursing profusely or lowering himself to crude material
Comedy for puritans. 🙄 Great
@@johnstory2996 "puritan" 🤣How do you even take yourself seriously with a worldview this separate from reality?
Jerry is really good at making extremely mundane everyday events funny.
HiddenWen Is that so? I've never heard anyone sum up his comedy in that way!
well his entire show was about nothing.
Joe Brokenstrang It is exactly how HiddenWen described it. Seinfeld's whole act is essentially observational comedy, which is literally "based on the commonplace aspects of everyday life.", to quote Wikipedia.
I feel like he's just always observing people and their ridiculousness.

The whole show flows from one joke to the other... Just genius writing
The king of clean humor.
I'll agree. With Gaffigan and Regan as the crown princes
the king of cl'umor.
+ilovebrandnewcarpets Regan is king now
Thats your god damn humor right there.
Shall we call him Mr Clean?
Jerry Seinfeld always has a way of making me feel better when I'm down
I've seen Seinfeld live three times (last time just last week) including following his career for 30+ years. This is Seinfeld in his prime.
+SalvadorLosAngeles Is he still worth to see live, or is it more about the nostalgia?

I love comedy with real life examples. That whole milk standup was 100% accurate haha!
That's gold, Jerry! GOLD!
Jerry killed it with the "July 3 tip off date"
"See the way that's fading left, that one's not ready."
My favourite bit in his whole repertoire. Tears every time.
In this particular part, I prefer "they brand it, right in the side of the carton... tsssss" 🤣

Newman hired 13 people to dislike this video... Newman!

Now it’s 89. Who would dislike jerry...unamerican!

Classy? Lmao.
It's boring and milquetoast. Prude.

This is clean humour. My god nobody can match this guy when it comes to doing stand up comedy. I just love him
Not "god"!
It's july 3rd. I got the random urge to watch this video without knowing today's date would be in the video.
I had paused the video to answer a call, started browsing other things, came across and read an article about mosquitoes, went back the video, resumed, "Oh, they got em in mesquite flavor now..."

LowerTheBoom1 Well that was unnecessary.

This is a really long intro into Seinfeld..
I'm Tellin' You For The Last Time!!!! One of the best stand up specials ever
Truly one of the greats of comedy. Genius
This used to have me dying laughing as a ten year old. I remember my mom having it recorded on VHS. The nostalgia
Jerry Seinfeld always sounds like someone trying to imitate Jerry Seinfeld.
the milk😂😂😂 he's right.
5:23
The Mackinaw Peaches, Jerry, the MACKINAWWW PEACHES!
"ah theres the milk...do we need milk?"
lol, "wonder if it's made from mosquitos?"
Its a special genius to take actual life experience and human behaviour and break it down like this. He is probably the funniest person i ever heard.
Serenity now. Insanity later.
Really fascinating style of humor. I dont laugh as much as i do while listening to other comedians but somehow im still hanging on his every word
He's very clean yet very talented. That's why it surprised me to hear him say "g*****ed"
jerry's such a genious he'd probably figure a way to mock buying groceries online as well.
he is such a classic comedian. Great material, great linking of it all too. WTF 6 dislikes?

"now we're washing our face with milk" that was so funny haha
Only part worth watching: 00:00 - 05:45
THAT'S your Goddamn DAY.
"Now it's a race against the clock with the expiration date. That freaky thing." LOL
“Do we have milk?” I literally NEVER KNOW 🤣😂🤣🤣😂
5:29 Whoa, that’s today! I swear, I’ve never seen this before, it’s totally a coincidence.
At least it's not "the day after the day" when you saw this, as you were eating your last spoonful in the bowl of cereal and milk. LOL
It goes to show true comedy never expires (O:þ
July 3rd...
Nice 👍🏻
Seinfeld jokes are( like it is, very detailed about why?.. and straight to the questions.)
Funny and soooo true, something everybody can relate too! Great job, Mr. Seinfeld.
He's among the best standup comedian of all time
It's impossible to get out without buying anything, lol.... It's also true 'I'm gonna get this' anf later we are watching every product around
I love the consistency of this special with the drapes matching the ones from the stand-up portions of Seinfeld.
Jerry is goddamm accurate
Jerry is on my Mount Rushmore of comedy right up there with Don Rickles, Jonathan Winters and Jerry Lewis. Your mileage may vary.
Seinfeld in his prime
thank you. I so needed this!
3:40 lmao i love his OH NO!!
Surely one of the top 200 comedians in the world
the ending had me in tears
Seinfeld is such a great comedian
Not the best comedian ever but a damn fine comedian. He is a man of great insight .
I still think his TV programme was the greatest comedy show ever. Not even Curb tops Seinfeld.
I've seen this July 3rd bit a million times in 20 years (I have the whole show on vhs!) and I still laugh.
This actually helped me on a marketing exam describing environment, moved it from B+ to A- :)
The last part about milk was gold, not a word wasted
The milk bit was used in the lost episode of seinfeld
Check it out on youtube
this was so funny i laughed so hard on the milk joke
We need Jerry and Brian to do a show together.
I think about this bit almost every time I'm at the grocery store.
he is awesome with his observations .
The seedless watermelon part is so funny. I was just watching a video today about how someone accidentally got a defective seedless fruit and they just clone it.
I love Jerry :D
The best comedian ever!
He is just a genius
Jerry is the G.O.A.T
I watch this every July 3rd.
Simply the best.
I really like the part with the expiration dates XD

"What is it supposed to smell like?!" That's me in a nutshell.

Damn he's good!
True GOAT
YEAH THAT'S A GOOD ONE. SURE GLAD I FOUND THAT ONE.
Brilliant!
The original meaning of "cow tipping" was their expiration date clues.
I love this! July 3rd is my birthday 😂😂 Ps: and Tom Cruise's too lololol

Well nobody would ever really buy canned pineapple without that.
i'm sitting here cackling like an idiot at the milk part
1:23 he rolls his eyes. you ever think comedians secretly laugh at us for laughing at their stupid shit.
The cows tip them off 😆 🤣
1:38 channeling Brian Regan 😂
05:20 Love how he almost loses it here.
Hilarious, and very true!!
his observations of human behaviour is applaudable .
As someone who deals with expiration dates on milk all the time, I feel this.
Mark Normand once texted Jerry Seinfeld, "Hey Jerr, I'm really jonesing for that hang!"
Comedy!
