His "comedians in cars" episode with Michael was really memorable. As a daily meditator and is my #1 activity..... I would like to talk to Jerry about it and if he limits his meditations to 20 mins as they do in TM. Would recommend to try meditating as long as you can without straining.... 1 hour becomes a short meditation and longer feels so nice! Hope he's not limiting meditations and just meditates till stops naturally...

Close eyes and consciously relax your entire body; breathe in deeply and breathe out long (put lips together and push air out through the closed lips); do this about 20 to 30 times. Your body will start to feel relaxed. Then, start repeating your mantra silently to yourself. If you have no mantra (say from a TM ceremony), try repeating something like: "shiva om," or other spiritually enriched words that resonate with you. Keep silently repeating, in your own mind, that mantra or those spiritually comforting words. In the beginning try doing meditations for at least 20 minutes and then increase to 50 minutes or longer, if you feel so inclined. Best is around 50 - 60 minutes of meditation. Jerry is getting away with murder. Pretending to be all wise and successful because of talent and choices he made. To be honest he just hit the jackpot, was lucky with Larry David by his side who’s the one with the rare talent and since then it has been easy sailing for mr. Seinfeld.
@@cqaqa Stop, lol. Are you related to Larry?? He would never have achieved a thing without Jerry, who knew how to kill a room, not turn them against him. Who was on Carson dozens of times? Larry?? Nope. Jerry. WHO was given a series on a major network? Larry? Nope. They wanted JERRY. So cut the crap.
Jerry predated Larry by decades
I have been living the life of stoicism for about two or three years. I'm 71. Took all my life to get here. It's pretty great.
Respect to Jerry for sticking by Michael Richards and his stand up career😀
Really?
@@LetnothinggotowasteDo you have a problem with that comment?
@@Letnothinggotowaste Just shows they both are racist.
@@fishmonger6879 I wondered the same thing.
His "comedians in cars" episode with Michael was really memorable. You can really tell how much he suffered for and was haunted by his mistake, how genuinely sorry he was, and how difficult it has been for him to get past the shame, guilt, and public backlash he experienced from that. A lesson in self forgiveness, and the injustice of sometimes paying mercilessly and 10 thousand fold for a mistake as simple as letting anger get the better of you for just a few seconds.
LOVE IT. 70 and bc of meditation Love it. You truly look great Jerry.
I really appreciate a guy like Jerry Seinfeld is around. He's a good dude, and has a provided generations ample happiness - now turned to wisdom. Whilst always crediting his own teachers. I think when people call him arrogant they don't fully understand him.

@@cqaqa Disagree, because no one knows the relationship between the two except them. They would have contributed in different ways. And frankly, Seinfeld was hilarious in his own show.
Transcendental Meditation also changed my life and helped me to accomplish so much more! It’s so restful and gives me so much more energy and clarity of mind, I wish everyone would learn! ❤️
Same here. I learned TM in 2016 and I wish I had learned it decades before.
I'm also turning 70 next week 😅. Jerry was so inspirational during this interview that he encouraged me to do something positive. Consider this a new beginning 😊. I don't know if meditation is something I would consider. Graham gave a terrific interview 👍 😊. I look forward to Jerry's upcoming movie.👍🦋🦋
Why isn’t it something you’d consider? Give it a sincere go and see for yourself
Jerry is unexpectedly very wise.❤
He's old, Jewish, and a self-made millionaire. I expected him to be very wise

And just like that, Jerry Seinfeld started to lead this interview and tell the interviewer what to do with his life.
Brilliant!
Meditation should be taught in schools not as a religious practice but as mindfulness training…. I’m 74 and I’ve been meditating for 36 years morning and night… it has changed everything…. I’m calm more loving the concentration of the breath does in fact increase one’s energy
Idk but I love Jerry's communication - he seems so confident, rarely flustured or uncomfortable - strong eye contact.
Wish I could learn how to be like this, anyone got advice?
Did you miss the part about transcendental meditation? I don't practice, but thinking seriously of starting. Also look for your "gift" to the world. Forget passion....what are you GOOD at?
@@canadude6401 I actually do TM now, and it helps
I think gift/skill stuff is important, however I think you should be able to achieve this without that
This wasn’t an interview for Jerry, this was a life coaching session for Graham.

I’ve been doing TM for one year. I’ll be 80 in December. It’s 11:00 pm right now, I have so much energy, it’s crazy. I have my own business, not retired, peaceful inside. I can literally FEEL Graham is not a meditator, Jerry’s resonance is so much stronger it’s amazing. TM is so grounding and solid, not fru fru at all. There is no other meditation. The rest are pretenders, seriously.
Meditation,
Weights,
Espresso
Young Christian boys. Blood Libel.
And cars
so true! 👍
Great Guy. Glad to have him around
Graham is the best interviewer in the business. A lot of wisdom here from Jerry.
Great interviewer. He can pivot on a dime AND he lets the guest talk. Spectacular! 5:09
As a daily meditator and is my #1 activity..... I would like to talk to Jerry about it and if he limits his meditations to 20 mins as they do in TM. Would recommend to try meditating as long as you can without straining.... 1 hour becomes a short meditation and longer feels so nice! Hope he's not limiting meditations and just meditates till stops naturally...
if you meditate natuarally you arent trying to go as long as possible. think about it . too long btw
So what exactly is it you are doing when you are meditating? Are you sitting there trying not to think of anything?
@@lynnturman8157 ya but if you try you wont . dont try just dont think. usually ppl need a discovery to start.
where can I get a basic guide video on how to do TM?
@@lynnturman8157 Sit upright, but not rigidly so; keep feet flat on the floor. (May need pillow behind you to support back and/or to allow feet to rest comfortably flat on the floor.) Close eyes and consciously relax your entire body; breathe in deeply and breathe out long (put lips together and push air out through the closed lips); do this about 20 to 30 times. Sometimes you are really in the zone and meditations can go on for much longer than one hour.
Such great wisdom….and reaffirmation that I’m on the right path…
Jerry seems like such a decent guy offscreen ❤
Jerry is such a inspiration
Good insightful interview! 👍👍
I agree, I’ve enjoyed his comedy for years and I am blown away by his age!
he doesn't have to do anything, his place in the culture is assured. Generations will continue to discover his sitcom. Clearly to him, it's all about standup, probably next to his kids it's his favorite thing in the world. people complain that after "Seinfeld" Jerry really hasn't done much. People always said the Beatles never achieved the same level of creativity after the Beatles, yeah, no kidding, they really didn't have to
I absolutely enjoyed living life out of this interview! Thank you for making this happen and thank you for doing your both best in delivering this beauty to me at 2:30am when i couldn't sleep. I appreciate my life a lot more because of Seinfeld's insight. I really do and I want him to know that I do relate to his experiences. He is a very beautiful man with countless words of wisdom he shares with us. And to be frank we should listen to what his lips are saying. He's done so much for the world. Thanks to him. I skipped my breakfast lol. This man is a treasure. He speaks his mind and he says it as he lives it. There's no better way to taste organic product than to listen to this men's wisdom and advice. Also the folks making this interview happened are appreciated for their contribution and are given the opportunity to make more like these. Thank you soo much for this. This has opened my eyes to see the beauty in life. Much love!!
Happy Birthday Jerry 🎂
Thank you Jerry, you’ve given us SO much!

He is a man child!!! Somebody should tell Jerry that he is an awful comedian, actor and director. The funny thing about Seinfeld the series was Jerry's bad stand up jokes except Jerry wasn't in on the joke so there is the rub;) Unfrosted what a stunningly bad movie!!!
Great interview! This is so inspiring and knowledgeable
I would have never thought that Jerry Seinfeld would ever be giving a lecture on self help 😀
He's right on meditation - it's deeply recharging - but there are so many types, I certainly didn't find it effortless in the first 25 years of practicing and experimenting with different types
Damn I think Jerry got me back into meditation
Me too, haha, plus it's time to revisit Marcus Aurelius "Meditations".
Have you learned TM from a certified teacher...go for it. There are many kinds of meditation, but I too found TM to be a life saver and the best thing that ever happened to me.
Cool video, My relationship of 5 years ended a month ago. The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love her so much I can’t stop thinking about her, I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail, I’m frustrated, I don’t see my life with anyone else. I’ve done my best to get rid of the thoughts of her, but I can’t, I don’t know why I’m saying this here, I really miss her and just can’t stop thinking about her.
Amazing, how did you get a spiritual counselor, and how do i reach her/him?
Thank you for this valuable information, i just looked her up now online. impressive
Pretty good scam guys
Lift weights. Go for walks. Maybe run every morning. Improve yourself. Read books. Write a diary. Try the ketogenic diet. Get some sun. The pain goes away with effort in other facets. You have to bear it for a little while.
Many of us have gone through such times in life...but keep in mind that time heals. And the Transcendental Meditation that Jerry speaks about gets rid of stress, and makes life happier, healthier and easier. Easy to learn and easy to practice....
Jerry is brilliant. A very efficient effective person.
Jerry always made fun of Bania for weightlifting, now this time HE is following in BANIA'S footsteps.
Now THAT'S gold!
Gold I tell ya.!
I always smile whenever I think of just about any character from that show, all of them were priceless and perfect for their exact role!
He looks like a 42 suit size. He's huge.
Who knows? Bania might have been in part based on him or aspects of himself.
Well I love Jerry Seinfeld. He is one smart dude brilliant . Jerry Seinfeld in really good shape
Meditations changed my outlook on life. It really helped me gain perspective and has been such a benefit. I’m glad I’m not the only one.

Hi Jerry! Thanks for the heads up on meditation...you're an ORIGINAL Philosopher! Love you! Thanks for all you do! That two year hiatus was a meditation... a little groggy! Talk about what you did during the Covid 19 Pandemic! xoxoxo
Im shocked he is 70 ,how did that happen. He looks great !!! Sounds a little slower but still great
@4:08 the beginning of Stoicism was with Zeno, but Marcus Aurelius was a great figure of it too.
Jerry seems much more self aware here than I’ve seen before. Still a bit arrogant but coming more from a place of not caring what others think; in older interviews I thought he often came off as smug and lacking awareness.
He’s very arrogant
@@Hannah82271are you offended?
@@DNGMaestro it's just an observation. Like his comedy. Observational. Jerry is in love with his own thoughts. He is proud and excited abut his "insights". I have no problem with it but it's kind of ...comical.
So much wisdom.. I'm impressed
Because Jerry has carved out an exceptional career based on observation as a consequence he’s become incredibly wise.
Jerry is getting away with murder. Pretending to be all wise and successful because of talent and choices he made in life when he in fact is both petulant and entitled. as a man trying to be a stoic i just have to keep telling myself whatever gets in the way is the way, no point complaining, just get on with it
I agree. I like to think of it as being at peace with negative emotions or thoughts. Once you don't give them fuel they become less and less of an occurrence.
Jerry actually looks better now, getting older.
Love Seinfeld! Such a funny and interesting guy! 😀👍
He doesn’t look a day over 50👏
He got that hair transplant surgery 😂😂😂 even Arnold looks way younger with it too
Well having a billion dollars and as he would say, not having worked at a real job in his life helps a person stay young! I say that with mad respect for him, very tough profession and he deserves great success. He has certainly added a lot to the lives of many people he has never met, I've enjoyed countless laughs from that show.
He keeps young by not having to work like normal people. His workload is forgettable as he laughs all the way to the bank. Thanks to Larry David who to be frank is the one with the talent;)
As a veteran I have found Transcendental Meditation to be the best thing that ever happened to me. It is easy to do, easy to learn, and the benefits come right away. In fact, it is the best time of every day. And I agree with what Jerry said, if you want to be happy and be your best self, TM is the best tool in life. PS: he started when he was 19 and has been doing it ever since...good luck and good health just seem to come your way when you do it.
Only Seinfeld could admit to an espresso addiction and then say "but I get all my energy from meditation."
I have been reading Empectitus . He is another stoic. Much wisdom
