    Upcoming ddr5?? DDR 6X is already being used

    • @YungAir
      @YungAir 8 місяців тому +1

      For GPUs, but it’s not quite ready for a worldwide rollout for Readily Available Memory. DDR5 will become the standard and it will phase out DDR4 like 4 did to DDR3. We’re not even close to rolling out DDR6x for Ram.

    Really good video, only prob is that my pea brain was having trouble processing the information, so here's my problem, I play rust, which isn't super high quality on my laptop, yet I can't get over 60fps on average, I have a 144hz monitor and a 2060 GPU when I check performance I see everything is fine except that I am using 14gb of my ram 8gb being the game. I can up the ram limit on the game to see if that ups performance, but I don't want to overclock my ram more than I already am. What do I do?

      .... Just get more ram. Get 32gb of the fastest ram your motherboard accepts.

    Whilst I was aware of all the points you have highlighted, not everyone does and you have probably saved a lot of people a lot of money if they had the good sense to check out your video. It is still amazing how many people think that 32 gig of Ram must be much better to game with than 16. One issue that I got caught with in bygone times is the fact that some older motherboards only accept certain size sticks ..like an old mobo(it was brand new thats why I bought it lol) I had would only accept 8 gig of ram and flatly refused an 8 gig stick( we found this out accidently by a person selling me a set of 16 gig in 4 modules when they were in fact 4x8 gig sticks. it was an old 1155 or 1156 board that took 1st gen intel cpu.. I fitted a i7 -860 to it)

    Please can you answer me? I have h110m-r motherboard and I want to buy new ram but when I chose ram, there was 2 options 16c and 14c so which one is compatible with my motherboard? or it doesn't matter?

      It doesnt matter i think. The matter one is just ddr3 or ddr4 cause the slots. That its, other than that just for the specs. Of course, higher price better specs

    2:37 Am I right in thinking this clock speed can be found in windows task manager, then clicking " Performance " and then " Memory".........then its listed under speed?? That number lists my memory as being 2133 MHZ.........but other figures found in CPU-Z include 1200MHZ and 2400.

    The information is a must have. Thanks.
    But I wanted to know HOW to KNOW what to buy (a.k.a. WHERE to look?, should I disassemble the PC?, what program to use?)
    A "just read your manual" doesn't do it... since some of us bought a used PC without manual.

    So it doesn’t matter what kind of room I get it just has to be the same version like it has to be DDR four motherboard and DDR four ram and CPU that supports DDR for the brand doesn’t matter right

    Should you of also included the exceptions such as "apple and Mac"?
    I once sold someone some laptop RAMs at work, but I was out of stock for the clockspeed he wanted to buy. So, instead, I gave him RAM for a higher clockspeed assuming it would be compatible, just downgraded to the appropriate clockspeed he needs. Little did I know, it was not functional at all for him, we found it Apple and Mac seems to "require" the appropriate clockspeed in order to function.
