Time to add some protection and style to the Predator 459 Crosskart. I think I've locked in a solid method for you guys, being this is the 4th kart I've put skin to. Let me hear some good color combos for powdercoat and wrap in the comments! I hope all of your builds are going well and I can't wait to see some of the body work and paint jobs you guys come up with! Enjoy the build!
-For the guys anxiously waiting for 2 seater progress; man it is tough to stay on top of multiple builds plus get manufactured pre-bent and notched frames going for future builders. I'm getting my to do list cleaned up so I can give the VF-2 100% of my attention to get it done!

I have a crazy design. i'm going to be fiberglassing the entire kart. The lights are going to be sick, the back and sides are going to be crazy aggressive, the front is going to be very cool. There is going to be a lot of work going into the looks of the cart. i highly enjoy that.

Are you powder coating the panels too? That will be awesome with some paint schemes, since powder coating, could do a graphic! Pin striping, all off it. Cool stuff Jake!,

Definitely save for your education! I’m building one of these, and let me tell you from first-hand experience: it’s so much fun, but there are so many unplanned expenses! But once you’re done with school, I’m sure the community of builders would be happy to lend you a hand!

Curious as to how much does power coating that frame cost?
Kyle found a joint near him that charges the cost of a quad frame. Each place will be different based on their capacity and capability. Best option would be to call around your location honestly.
I pay around $350 for prep and paint for the frame. Light bar, 4 a-arms and hooking protection add around $150 but sometimes I do those myself because they are easier.
CAD works awesome for costumed sizing sheet metal.

No no. When you're drilling steel you want to get in and get out asap. Heat is the enemy. Heat will dull a drill bit faster than anything else and going slow and playing with the hole will guarantee that you burn it up faster. What ya really need is some lube. That'd solve multiple problems and save the drill bit.
But also, that's a damn good looking machine.
Hopefully i can save ya a few drill bits later down the road.

How tall are the tall tires in the video? I have some 27’s gathering dust.
They are anywhere from 23”-32”
