For drilling the 4 on 110 perfectly, create a drill jig with the 4 on 100 12mm, then at 45* create the 4 on 110 10mm. You only really need 1 pattern laser cut, then you can drill both hubs before removing the 12mm studs. Perfect spacing and centering.
Love the channel and all the info you provide! Definitely building one of these when I’m done with my drift car. On a side note; ditch the plates for your press. Those ones in particular (the ones that come with HF presses) are cast. They can and do explode when you put enough pressure on them. I think Swag off-road has some gnarly pictures on their site from that
Hy, you make a super kit for building the rear transmission. But I live in France, and with shipping and custom, it will be too expensive. Very nice job. Kris
I use a 6 spline PTO shaft and 4 bolt bearing blocks on my setup. The blocks attach to a slider bracket with bars with heim joints as adjusters. Hoping it'll hold up to the 20hp I have planned for my 3 year olds first car lol
hey great video I enjoy them all I like the end game big savings to I did notice your axle explained E break ring Is a ABS wheel speed sensor tone ring or what ever lol but not a big deal all your work looks top notch!!!
U-joints and cv joints require approximately 10deg offset to keep hard wear down (makes the rollers work) . That offset could be rearward making a slightly longer wheelbase or downward making lift
*1.* How might you recommend shortening the Miata axles if a builder desires a narrower overall width IE 58-60 inches like an FL400 pilot? *2.* Trailing arm does a little better when it's a 5-link instead of a 3 link like you showed. But then that's a LOT more fabrication, parts, and adjustability to screw with. *3.* Have you ever considered a De-Dion axle setup with a Satchell Link to attach it to the chassis? De-Dion is a sort of in-between of a car-style solid axle and an IRS system. It uses a "dead" solid axle that's powered by CV hubs, which gives you the geometrical benefits and ease of setup of a solid axle, but the lightness, reaction, and dynamics (torque is symmetrical left and right due to a chassis mounted diff) of an IRS system. Build in 0.5 to 1.5 degrees of static negative camber per side and you're golden.
I know this is about affordability but I would just use wheel adapters. This way you would have more room for what ever wheels you want to run, if you are placing the brakes at the wheels.
hey im looking at making a quad using this center drive and the preidtor motor. do you recommend any shorter axles? want to get the hubs around 50" of spacing
That is a suspension setup rather than a chassis design. I cover that in a separate video. But short answer they are set up to hit the bump stops just before the frame touches as the rule book states.
I have an old honda xr600r engine i am thinking of putting in one of these builds. Do you think the gear shifting in the xr600r engine affect the performance of the car as opposed to running the belt clutch setup?
@@KJRaycing Definitely makes sense in your case. My comment was more for anyone building a kart from scratch they can look for 4x4"/ 4x100mm wheels and skip the lug pattern adapting step.
Kyle.... I tried closing all programs before trying to upload to send cut send but still no go. I have deleted the file and re-downloaded it and the same thing. I looked at the files in fusion 360 and they look great there. Just having trouble at Send Cut Send. I even tried multiple zip programs just in case. I am befuddled.
Been looking for this build for a long time on UA-cam,glad I came back still a dream of mine to get/build one
I have been watching for a center setup and drive hub set up for a small industrial project . This would work very well
My new favorite channel I'm officially hooked
Wow what an awesome compliment. Thank you so much!

Check out part three 🤓. Or look in your plans. Thank you so much for joining in on the fun, you are going to love this.

Always keeping it budget friendly. So awesome Thank You again!
I’m really proud of this one. I hope it helps the dreamers out there get their creations made.
This rear drive is what really sells it for me! WOW!
This was a big one! Over two years to get this one to you guys. Thank you! 👍
You could use send cut send to make you a drill guide to transfer the new hub pattern.
Thank you so much for this!!! Can’t believe I didn’t think of it! You’re the best!
I love this channel very useful
How does using this rear end change the fabrication for the rear A arms in the VF-1 plans if at all?
Thanks.
Me and my son will be building one😂😂😂
Man I love hearing this so much 🥰

Perché? Sono italiano e vorrei costruirlo pure io. Che problemi ci sono?
Impressive.

Thanks! I assumed it was some kind of wheel sensor thing, I didn’t care too much as I was just getting rid of it anyway 😁
Do you have plans for the front and rear a arms?
U-joints and cv joints require approximately 10deg offset to keep hard wear down (makes the rollers work) . That offset could be rearward making a slightly longer wheelbase or downward making lift
Lots of guys have done that, the a-arms are flippable left to right so you can change the modes, if built correctly.

Excellent ✌️
Hello, friend, I have a question, do the rear wheels stay the same at the corners?
You don’t need a differential, check out all the driving videos I’ve made. These are not 3 thousand pound cars or trucks.
I know this is about affordability but I would just use wheel adapters. This way you would have more room for what ever wheels you want to run, if you are placing the brakes at the wheels.
Luv your work!
Yamaha Blasters have a 4x100 rear wheel bolt pattern. Wheels are available.

What are those shocks?
Whats the part # on that rear carrier?
How long is that hub to hub?
What is the bearing part number you pressed in the hub
It’s in the plans.
Hmmm i see part 2 is giving answers...
Just wondering do you design your buggies so that the frame bottoms out before the shocks do?
That is a suspension setup rather than a chassis design. I cover that in a separate video. But short answer they are set up to hit the bump stops just before the frame touches as the rule book states.
The Cog is for a wheel speed sensor.
The cog should be cut off no matter what it is used for 😉. The miata axles are perfect for these builds in my opinion.
very good my friend
Thank you very much

They are faster with gears but fun no matter which way you choose to go.
hi I hope you answer me, I want to ask you where did you buy this transmission block?

If you watch the entire series on the Homebrew rear you will get your answer 👍
Where do I get supplies for the spool
In the plans 👍
Golf carts use 4x100 or 4x4” pattern same as a lot of go karts they are very easy to find wheels for.
Sweet! I have 5 crosskarts that all have 4x110 bolt patterns so it was very useful for me to convert the hubs.
@@KJRaycing Definitely makes sense in your case. My comment was more for anyone building a kart from scratch they can look for 4x4"/ 4x100mm wheels and skip the lug pattern adapting step.
Do you have a chain drive spool with diff ? 😊
No diff needed. 🤓
@@KJRaycing ok fine

I'm building an ultimate Wheel Horse mud mower with 4 wheel independent suspension and a snow mobile engine.
Well that is going to be an absolute riot!

do you have the part number for the hubs in the plans
