I just started last summer making plushies and did my first market last October. I’m 63 years old, so your audience is diverse. I only do instagram and facebook posting reels and pictures. To be honest I only did that because most markets require to see what you make. I don’t see me doing UA-cam videos but love watching people like you. Keep going!
You’re right about markets wanting to see your IG, I need to get better about taking actual photos of my items because I keep sending market coordinators reels and I’m not sure if they like that 😂

I used to market prep with my at the time 2ish year old at home. I almost gave up a million times. I struggled so much trying to find a balance and would get frustrated and depressed when I couldn’t get anything done. It caused resentment and it just wasn’t fun bc I hyper fixate. So let me say I felt this so so much. I know how hard it is. Especially because I have a very strong willed toddler. Now my daughter is in school so that’s the only reason I’m able to create the amount I do. Also, I am opposite. I have over 1k subscribers but not 4k watch hours yet 🤪 I’m hoping I’ll get there next video but I’m behind on uploading bc my daughter has a stomach bug.. you know how it goes lol love your authenticity and videos as always 🫶🏽

I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old and man can I relate to not being able to make a million plushies a day.. I’m challenging myself to just make one small plushie per day and so far I’ve kept up with that.

I really enjoyed this video, it was very helpful to me just getting started on UA-cam. I love the way you look at it, “2 weeks of groceries, or swim lessons”. That’s how I see my Etsy sales, a bill paid or groceries. Even the small amounts are blessings.

okay, this is the first time seeing a video from you and I can 100% see why you are growing so fast: girl, you are just so easy to whatch and down to earth. I am just really burned out from all the fancy, glossy, perfect, aesthetic videos on youtube. It is all so unattainable and unrelatable. Your videos are just like chatting to a nice person you happen to meet.
As someone also starting a craft channel (I do fiber art, but not crochet or markets and such) You seem so natural and comfortable in front of the camera. It's super inspiring to see you just do your thing (because I am 500% in my head about my own videos. Which is why nothing ever gets uploaded hahahaha!) It probably isn't as easy as you make it look, but I am letting you know whatever magic you are doing, keep doing it 🌻

I absolutely love your channel. You seem very genuine and have a beautiful personality. I am 58 years old and loved crochet. I’ve thought about markets but live in Montana and I’m just not sure. I’ve also thought about starting a UA-cam channel about cleaning, organizing and end of Vlog style, and my family lives in Oroville, California!!!!

This is so relatable.. I have a full time job and it’s just not realistic to be cranking out all these finished works! But the good news is there’s no real pressure in crochet, just the pressure we put on ourselves 🥰

I love your videos and its refreshing to see someone who doesn't crochet as a living, but still does markets! I started in August and i'm from a small town, so finding markets that are 'worth it' has been very hard, but we are still going and I'm so blessed by the fun opportunity. And who cares if your not the 'typical' YT crocheter age! I am 23, still living at home, and really enjoy your videos!

I’ve followed you from the first video and have been truly inspired by you. I was considering starting a crochet channel for my 30th and you have definitely inspired me to do this!

Okay so just wanted to jump on to give some feedback ❤
1. I absolutely love your videos and I think your backgrounds are beautiful. I’m a plant girly so your space speaks to me on a personal level haha
2. I watch a lot of crochet accounts on UA-cam and you definitely bring something different to the table which I truly appreciate. Your warm personality and level of transparency makes me feel as though I’m listening to a friend. Im a very introverted person and rarely comment on videos either so it says a lot about how open you come across that I feel I want to :) I’m not a mum but I am someone who works part time with young children and has a chronic illness called Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. No it’s not at all the same as being a mum but I like hearing from someone who is not in the position to crochet multiple items every day. I don’t have the energy or time for that either!
3. Another thing that drew me to your videos are the different projects you create. I do have a lot of crochet artist I love to follow on YT but often there are a lot of the same plushies being made. I absolutely love your flowers, worms and endangered species animals you have shown. It’s exciting to see peoples personalities through their art and I feel like making things you love is important.
4. I like your editing, I think it looks great!

Had my first market last year and I've got three this year so far. Now that my son is getting a little older I'm finding myself again outside of motherhood and my new business is a part of that journey. Thanks for sharing yours!

So my worm pattern ended up being a lot more difficult to understand than I anticipated 😬I got some wonderful feedback from the testers and I need to devote some serious time to working on the pattern. Pattern writing is a whole new world to me! I am planning on taking a break from markets soon to prep for strawberry girls birthday though so I will have time 😄

Heyyy girl, while I cant relate with having a child, I do work full time 5 days a week 8h shift, so to come home I can be soo tired and not want to crochet, I’m lucky to even make 1 thing a week most times lol. You got this though, anytime you get the chance to make soothing do it. I also have a 2 year old dog that needs attention now and then, a 1 year old cat and a 15 year old cat. It’s also hard to keep up with making UA-cam videos, so I just keep to the shorts as much as I can that way something is out there. Im 33 years old 😊

Do you get more money if we watch the whole ad vs skippong after 5 seconds?
Yes, I believe it does pay more if you watch the whole ad, but the price that advertisers are willing to buy ad space is always changing so the payout will decrease or increase over time
What does “doing markets” mean?
In my case it means selling my crochet makes as a vendor at craft fairs, festivals and other events
