I'm finding it odd that the supposed original goal of the Bene Gesserit was to rule over the empire. It was a big, huh?!? When the movies have already established that the Bene Geserrit were, for 10,000 years, pursuing a genetic breeding program to bring about the Kwisatz Haderach.
The burning thing isn't a tech. It's a slow acting poison, I believe. How else would Hart have burned Kasha in an entirely different system untold lightyears away. That's extremely far fetched, given the possibilities in-universe. Also, I think he did die and he's a ghola of some sort...
Ive heard ep2 is a horror episode....I wasnt sure about a Dune series after Halo, acolyte etc. But this looks so well made and got me intrigued and hooked from the first scene.
the bene gesserit cannot use prescience. prescience is the idea of seeing possible futures. The bene gesserits once becoming reverent mothers can only see genetic memories of the past of thier ancestors. Paul in the dune book, can do both and is the only one that develops prescience in such a manner ... this changes later
lol that’s just another word for it. The book was written in the 1960s so it’s not reasonable to think the same lingo/terminology would be used 8 decades later. Thinking machines= artificial intelligence. They are synonymous.
Travis Fimmel does another excellent job at playing Travis Fimmel.
I think the tech that burns people is what becomes the pain testing box. Basically, the Bene find a way around it and then use it themselves.
the Box doesnt do actual damage. "pain by nerve induction"

no poison would work on a reverend mother
I think Hart is an AI loyalist mentat
Dam crazy that over 10,000 years of work by a group of women can be toppled by a man overnight ❤

Thinking the burning was done using nanobots.....and Hart is playing with his rings a lot....might be something in there
Yeeeeees love this
I think Hart is a Ghola or Face Dancer.
I would how much is this is actually canon from the books?
The Expanded Universe by Brian Herbert and Kevin J Anderson, think this is an adaptation of The Sisterhood of Dune.
I think Hart is a Ghola!
its thinking machines and not ai

It's pronounced Ri-kay-zee
It's pronounced differently in the Lynch movie, this show and among fans.
Give it a rest.
