Not a Ghola, it's too soon to grow a whole human clone. But a Tleilaxu Face Dancer, a bio-engineered human who can change their appearance to be identical to someone else. They were used by the Tleilaxu as spies and assassins. That seems more plausible ... then again it's sci-fi so who knows. He's DEFINITELY not the real Desmond Hart, that guy is dead.
I think he is Desmond. He went down with a harvester when a great worm appeared. I think the worm spared him with a massive amount of purest melange and he had his own vision of the future. He now has very strong powers like a Kwisazt Haderach. He’ll be the antithesis of the Bene Gesserit.
Is not being able to control Paul and Leto II a complete failure of the Bene Gesserit breeding program? Sure they weren't able to control them, but Leto did lead humanity down the Golden Path and made Humans immune to prescience which in turn protected them from ever being wiped out by a KH type being or AI
@@ericmatteson8888 this is 10k years prior to dune, Tleilaxu could have easily regressed technologically and these are not really the same reverend mothers in dune. I doubt they are 5% as powerful
The first Ghola (who could remember his memories) was Hayt, the Ghola of Duncan Idaho in Dune Messiah. This is WAY too early in the time line to be a Ghola with his original memories restored.
They were known as the Tlulaxa then and gholas were not invented until the time of Messiah. Actually, I have a feeling he may actually be Vorian Atreides.
I think he is some sort of Cymek. A brain in a bucket placed in a robot body. I assume the whole series is about the two glowing eyes we see at the end of the first reverand mothers vision before she dies. And these eyes are nothing else than Omnius, the AI mankind defeated during the Butlerian Jihad. The AI sended itself into the unknown regions of space just before its last synchronized world fell, SETI signal style. I bet just about 150 or so years later, there are still some remnant forces of him hiding in the Empire. The machines ruled for several thousand years, such a long history isn't wiped out in a single victory. And i think the kid and Kasha died involving nanites or something like that, but that's just pure speculation without any base.
Yea. They are pushing the AI aspect pretty hard. I think he is an AI placed mentat loyalist (the AI created the first mentats - according to the new books). Also notice that mentats were strangely absent from the first episode, despite that order predating both the empire and the sisterhood. The nanotech idea is good. A poison couldnt kill a reverend mother.
@@shhwinner6663 Could be, but there was also a robotic sound at the same time. And something resembling a signal travelling trough space just before the eyes appeared. I think it is Omnius. My further speculation is, "The Sisterhood" will found the Bene Gesserit just as useful idiots. The BG may think they are aiming for ultimate power by exploiting a Kwisatz Haderach, but in fact "The Sisterhood" wants them to create such a entity just to establish The Golden Path, which will make mankind not just immune against absolute rulers, but also prepares them for the final confrontation against Omnius. Which will happen about 16.000 years in the future according to the books. My further specualtion is, the event of the series will delay the return of Omnius to that point, and erase all remnants of Omnius in the current Empire. I also think the Tleilaxu or Ixians are not the bad guys. They wouldn't survive until the events of the original Dune book if they are involved with Omnius or in a plot to bring him back in any way.

The constant focus on his eyes made me think of the Tleilaxu due to Tleilaxu eyes.

nope. Tleilaxu bio-tech couldnt kill a reverend mother.

face dancer perhaps?
Idk if he can stay in that form for that long but it’d be cool
Maybe face dancer or Ixian tech.
