Super sore after running 13 miles yesterday. So today I did an easy 2 miles on the treadmill to warm up then did your video. I love how slow and methodical you practice. I really can feel the muscles relaxing as we progress. Thank you so much for this incredible content!

Some days are great others are disappointing when you realize a 3 mile run kicks your butt and you used to run 10 miles better than those 3!! But I am sticking to my training and taking each run as they come! So blessed that I am able to still run at 66!! Your channel has been an enormous help. Thank you Ash!

It's a cliche but the saying is 'enjoy the process, not the destination' I know it must be frustrating to compare yourself now to how you used to run. Its a great thing that you are running at 66, try to find gratitude in the small details that make the run more valuable. Those moments where it does feel amazing to be out running, the headspace and peace of mind that running brings us, that nice feeling once we get home and have done our run!! These moments are the essence of running, try not to beat yourself up about times or distances that you used to run, take the pressure of yourself. Hope this helps 🙂

Moments to enjoy my body outdoors doing something incredibly natural, it enhanced my love of running. I'm sure your yoga background will help your running 🙏
Just did a short but intense hill sprint workout and this really took me back down to a relaxed state. I didnt know that about calves getting 7x the body weight! No wonder mine howl at me sometimes!

Thanks Ash. Would love to see some longer post run stretching. Do you feel that it helps when you stretch for longer? Or are the recovery gains diminishing return after something of this length? I've been running for four weeks now and I beat my PR for the 1/2 mile and 1 mile today. :) I use Strava to track.

Love these videos!! Started running three weeks ago, and these stretches are my favorite part 🤣
One thing I’ve noticed, is that when I do the leg stretches starting around 9:00, I can’t really do the deeper groin stretch as my hip pops in and out on both sides. Like my tendon/ligament snaps. Any tips?

Regarding that stretch and your hip, it may be weak muscles in that Piriformis, Glute Medius area that are not holding the hip in place. I wouldn't know exactly as I'm not able to view it to give a diagnosis. You could try strengthening your Glute Medius area, I have some Glute workouts on my channel. If it is causing you an issue/pain I recommend you seeing a local physiotherapist to get a diagnosis so that you know for sure.

Quick question Ash...when you're arching your back at the beginning of this video you sayb you're giving it a stretch...? how can it be stretching if it's arching?
I think that’ll be one of those times where I used the wrong word without realising Malcolm. I say that many words it’s hard to keep up sometimes 😂 I do sometimes say things and then start thinking “oh no, that’s not the exact term” but then I just have to let them bits stay in rather than re-film it.
