@@bleuvertetforetdepinI think I will be more concerned about the gesso, with a slightly textured surface, eating my nibs. I prefer a much smoother paper.
I agree about the neon pens. It’s nice that they wanted to have a big mix of colors in this set. However - I can do with out all the neon. I never use them
The pieces came out beautiful. Molotow has dual tip markers but💰💸 they are super pricey. These seem pretty good and the price is great. Looking forward to seeing pastels in the future.
Can we all just take a second to admire how clean that hand is drawn. Hands are hard😅 Thanks for reviewing the pens also. All 3 drawings look great as well.😊 💜
My cat thinks the best place to sleep is on top of whatever art I'm trying to make. I use a decoy sketchbook to try and trick her which works about half the time. Loved all the art. Neon paint markers are more hit and miss across the board but the rest of them look excellent!
Neon pigments are more sheer in general. Happens in every medium I've tried neon in, including nail polish! So that might be the case for the neon ones here. Though the others which look sheerer don't look like I would expect of acrylic paint.
Yeah, neons are a chore even if they are my favorite. Best way is airbrush. Since it layers quickly. I've gone as far as using culture hustle neon pigments and adding them until they are nearly chalk, but it's hard to keep them opaque and buttery.
All the pieces came out great (the metallic one might be my favourite), although it's a shame that the neon pens were frustrating to use. Maybe they're better off being used for small details/accents instead of for a full piece.
Too bad about the neons, I’d love to see more neon art in general, but these aren’t it. Your art is on point as always, just gorgeous! My favourite was the metallics. 🤩
ive found that nice thick and smooth paper does pretty good with paint pens like something meant for markers or mixed media I think one of the biggest factors is the material the paint nib is made of some are harsher on paper than others
Arrtx has brush and point nib paint markers..they are double sided. No activation and beautiful colors. I love Ohuhu but man Arrtx paint markers are amazing
Thanks for this video - your drawings are really cute! I think I have to wait for other sets of those markers if they maybe release them. I don't like metallic and/or neon colors that much and buying this set and only using half of the markers sounds wasteful to me. Sad they only have this mixed set.
If you want the best markers go for the tooli art markers. Not dual ended but they are a dream to work with and not to expensive. Also shake for at least one minute and pump ONCE and wait.. this will help with the flow of the ink.
I really don´t know why the neons are watery, but transparency usually depends on what pigment they are using in the paint. For example alizarin crimson is transparent and titanium white is opaque. There is a way to get those more transparent pigments to be more opaque. That´s by adding white, but I have no idea on how would you do that when you have acrylic markers. But the transparency of the paint doesn´t indicate the paint has bad quality. It just has this color that is acchieved with this transparent pigment. I think what they should do is to mix titanium white to those neon paints for opaqueness...
I bought some of these and they’re not the best. Watery. One marker had absolutely NO PAINT in it at all. I’m wondering if I got a fake set. But! Ohuhu is going to send me another set to make up for it and for that I have the utmost respect for them.
Maybe try gesso on the surface first. The paints may apply better and the paper shouldn’t shred as much.
Yes one or two layers of gesso should prevent the nibs from eating the paper as well as the paper sipping the pigments getting the color dull.

On black surface you can put white first and neon on top if it is very watery. Loved all of them!
Nice to see a video from you again! I hope you’re feeling alright, spring is usually a cheerful time for me. 💜

I love how all the pieces turned out!
These markers look interesting and, I agree, the fine nibs it’s very useful. Thanks for this review 💕
Hi Kattvalk, I've used Stonehenge cotton rag 250gsm with the Posca paint pens, and they dont tear up the surface. Love your work! x Nell.
It’s a shame the neons are watery, they had a lot of potential! The rest of the set looks lovely and I love what you’ve created ❤
Neon art supplies always seem to suck 😭
Tbh when it comes to neon colors it's difficult to make very opaque do to the nature of the pigments.
Even neon poscas don't cover to well 😂

These are all so pretty! I do really love neon colors, but they tend to always be lower quality.

Such whimsical artwork! My fav is the first piece 😊
It's my first time watching your channel and wow!! The black kitty illustration is so adorable 😭😭😭
I LOVE the Metallic drawing 😊💖

I love the black cat piece! I want that on some merch!

love the results❤

I do really like those pens. I'm not used to paint pens. I'm used to actual acrylic paint.
These are great!
Wow, Fenix got big! Wasn't he a tiny kitten like, yesterday? 😂

I said AWWW HES SO CUTE about phoenix and my cat gave me the stink eye 😂
I use Strathmore Bristol smooth surface sjetchbook and it's amazing for posca and coloured pencils
The pieces came out beautiful=) I like the way Ohuhu is going. So sorry neons were frustrating, but I hope the company fixies them in the future. =)

Draw first in white then draw over with neon.
@@lindyashford7744 Yes, that´s propably best solution.
Ohuhu is always great supplies on the cheaper side
I just wonder if these acrylic markers are also suitable for fabrics?
I guess once I get my paycheck, I have to buy myself some new markers...
🖤🖤🖤
Algorithm finally put this on my page was wondering if you stopped posting 😮
Can these be used to draw on a mirror?

Is it me, or does the bottom left pencil on the packaging look naughty?
Huh! Now that you say that . . .
Why are so many red markers junk? You’d think it’d be opaque.
