  • Here's the story of why I left Querétaro, Mexico and moved to...well, you'll have to watch to the end to find out (the SIGNS are there, I promise) 👀
My time in Querétaro wouldn't have been the same without the people I met both in real life and virtually. Thank you for your encouragement & support 💕

When I watched this video back for the final time before uploading it to UA-cam, it felt like I was watching someone else's life. In your video, when it was about to end, I saw Guadalajara board. Is that where you are going? :)
I have been watching your videos for so long and I always wished that you stayed in Guadalajara because that's where I am moving from India on Nov 5. I thought I will get knowledge on Guadalajara through you. I wish you move there.
I am moving alone for now related to work. And I plan to move my wife and daughters too later once I settle in, they get their visas and I find school for them.

I am going through same nostalgic feeling as you showed in video. My feelings are about leaving India. There is bit excitement and nervousness too as Mexico is totally new to me. I have lived in Chicago area for 6 years but that felt like home. I wish Guadalajara also feels that way soon.

I’m leaving Q because it’s boooooring. It’s too easy to get comfortable and do nothing and sink into a rut because, we’ll, there isn’t really much to do. And with the debacle of the government city planning traffic issues.. it significantly lowers the quality of life here. good luck on your journey. I’ll be curious where you end up!

So happy for you two on your next adventure. I just turned 71 almost a month ago, donating most of my things, and selling my house in NY in the spring. This is huge and a bit daunting at times because I'm doing it alone. I've always wanted to move to Mexico and it's happening! I go to Las Vegas in December for my consulate appointment.
I lost my only child, Trevor, 3 1/2 years ago at age 27. He would be 30 now so you two were born around the same time. He gave me his blessing back then so I'm going for it! I wish you both the best and hope to see more great videos.😊

One person reminded me that she knew I had wanted this since I met her 46 years ago, shortly after I got back to CA from 6 months backpacking by myself. I can live with foolish and scary, but I want to still want to see how other people live, what's on the other side of the mountain. I hope to meet you Susan, I'm in Queretaro

  • @crappocrappoproductions-ak9403

Your story makes me recall my own move to Guadalalajara in 1980. It was a solo drive cross country from NJ to the Texas border and a formidable trip from Laredo to GDL. There were no autopistas back then; just a long and lonely Hwy 54, one lane in each direction that stretched on for hours in the middle of nowhere between some of the cities on that route. It took about eleven hours. I knew that I was getting nearer to my final destination when I started to see rooftop tv antennas in pueblitos along the highway. The road lacked good signage but the antennas were an indication to me that they were in range of receiving broadcasts from Mexico’s second largest city. I was probably less than 50 miles from my arrival. Good luck in your new home !

Wow, I so needed to watch this video. Haven’t seen your vids for a while and just now this one suddenly pops up.
It’s after 2 am and here I am watching your vid.
I’m getting ready to sell my house of 20 years in California and moving out of this state. Daughter and her fam moving to Texas. My plan was to move with them to stay close, but have not been feeling the urge to invest right now, at least not in Texas.
Mexico has been calling me for many years, and why I found your channel in the first place.
I’m first generation Mex American. Single 58 yo female. Father from Michoacán. I’ve traveled through Mexico several times and love it. It feels like home in many ways. It keeps pulling me back - especially now that I’m moving but don’t have a place yet to move to.
Watching this video and hearing everything you said, gave me goosebumps. Texas is so close to Mexico. Just wow. Feeling it might be time to just do it. Just wow!! Your excitement and embrace of current shift/changes happening is contagious.

Good luck on your move to GDL. When we were your age we moved every 6-years, not planned,it just happened. We left the U.S. about 2-years ago to Playa del Carmen, but after visiting Rio De Janeiro Brazil for 3-months this summer, we decided to live there every summer for 4-months and PDC the remaining 8-months. As retirees, its exciting to live in 2 countries a year. Well enjoy your new adventure in GDL. No Regrets!

Thanks so much for the videos and the wonderful info you share with all of us. Anyway, I know you're not in Queretaro anymore, but I had a quick question to ask you. I recently visited and want to return for a longer stay. Can you recommend any good Spanish language schools in Queretaro where I could study on my next visit? Much appreciation for your help.

I'm not really sure what that video was all about but good luck in your new spot. Your QRO apartment hunt was one of the first vids I checked out before deciding to move to MX. I narrowed it down to QRO or GDL but after landing in GDL I know that was the perfect spot for me. I did go to QRO this year and the vibe there was very different than the warmth and welcoming nature of the people here. Interested in hearing about wherever you end up

I will say this! Life is never about where you live, but how you live. I have lived in many places, and can speak from experience! I find it ironic how you are leaving because you were to happy and comfortable in Queretaro. People are never happy with what they have until they loose it, which seems half ass backwards! I am 60 and have lived in some places as long as 30 years. If you find a place that you are comfortable stay there and live life for the experience. You can stay somewhere and change without ever leaving!
