    10:25 We Mexicans don't care about race because we are mixed for the most part. We are white, brown, native, Asian and African. You came here and you blend in.

    • @FreeToBe_Me
      @FreeToBe_Me Рік тому +6

      Mexico, like everywhere else in the world, even countries in Africa (sadly) have classism, colorism and racism. Turn on Mexican television and you will see only white Latinos and Spaniards as actors and presenters. If there is role for a maid or a bad guy, then you will see brown and maybe Afro-Latino.
      The Mexican govt did not even allow Afro-Mexicans to identify as such until 2015.
      However, having said all of the above, the passport privilege that Black Americans have is very real. Black Americans are treated better outside of America and better than black ppl of other ethnicities (including in Mexico, such as the Haitians and even Afro-Mexicans) which is unfair but the current reality.
      Overall, I would **still** recommend Black Americans to move to Mexico if that is what they choose. I think they will have a great time living in a culture that knows how to slow down rather than always being in a hurry. No place is perfect but Mexico can be a great fit.

      @@FreeToBe_Metv is one thing and people is another thing. The government "not allowing" afro Mexicans to be identified as afro - Mexicans is because they are just as mestizos as the rest of us. They are not pure black, they have been mixed with the population and are Mexicans. No need to separate themselves from the rest. So it was Not a racist thing but the total opposite. The only separate groups intended to be preserved as such for cultural reasons were the native indigenous peoples who speak a native language. But now that they are counted separately than the rest is a recognition of them as also a culturally endangered part of the country that needs to be preserved from getting more diluted. So don't compare it with the US where black people were not even allowed to vote nor to marry a white. In México we started intermixing since the 16th century and we are the result of this intermixing. So black Mexicans have always been Mexicans with full citizen rights unlike the US.

      @@luismiguelbalderrama Dont gaslight me. And don’t lie to me. You can be in denial about anti-blackness in Mexico if you want. Your choice.
      Afro Mexicans are not like mestizos. And they are not all mixed. How do I know? Because I actually listen to them and their experiences. You should try doing the same.
      The fact that you are trying to speak for them and over them about THEIR experiences tells me everything I need to know about you. None of it good.

    • @luismiguelbalderrama

      @@FreeToBe_MeGaslighting you? Haha what a ridiculous thing to say. You clearly have no idea on the history of Mexican civil rights from the creation of the republic. Also as you could hace noticed if you really knew them they are mixed with the rest of locals. I'm not having a stupid gringa telling me about my people. I also know the kind of person you are by wanting to separate people by color and I'm totally disgusted by you.

      @luismiguelbalderrama Рік тому +1

      @@FreeToBe_MeBlack Mexicans are and have always been Mexicans. They are not African. They are Mexican. And if you want to separate them from the rest just because they are on a darker skin side of the wide Mexican spectrum, it's because you are a racist stupid person

    I have lived in Queretaro for 6 years, it's a great place. Safe and clean city. The people are very respectful. The cost of living is high compared with other cities in Mexico. But I would love to relocate there if I have the opportunity to work in this city.

    We used Ivonne and her team in Queretaro and got our residency cards without a hitch. She even helped our son go through the residency regularización process. She runs a professional business and the Queretaro INM office is an efficient location. Not only does Ivonne have a ton of experience and knowledge, she is very personable and a joy to work with. I highly recommend choosing her and Host Relocation to help anyone get residency. Additionally, her company will be there to assist afterwards with everything from moving to Mexico to house hunting.

    How about taxes? What’s the tax rate for people getting retirement payments outside Mexico? As far as I know you have to declare all your worldwide income, which is to be taxed on a 35% basis, is this true? How about other assets outside Mexico, e.g. real estate, is this taxable in Mexico as well? I live in Switzerland and I’m considering moving to La Paz, but definitely, I don’t want to be a tax evader. Your comments will be highly appreciated

      Thank you for your interest in taxes. We appreciate your inquiry and will gladly consider generating content related to this topic. While we aren't tax specialists, we can connect you with excellent accountants in Mexico to address your specific accounting concerns.
      Regarding retirement payments and worldwide income, Mexico does have tax obligations, but it's essential to seek advice from professionals for accurate information. Mexico has a treaty of non-double taxation with the United States, and depending on the fiscal regime, taxes can be below 30% on average for both individuals and businesses.
      At Host Relocation, we aim to provide comprehensive services, connecting you with top professionals to make your move to Mexico as smooth as possible. If you have further questions or need assistance, don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to help! 😊

    We have visited Queretaro almost twice a year for the last 4 years and are really considering moving there. My question is about income. I see your panel is made up of folks of different ages...are they retired, transferred for work, investing in a business, etc. I am 65, and my husband is 46. I am still working and will try to do that for another year and a half to have higher benefits from social security. We have good equity in our home. Queretaro is calling...not really sure when to answer! Thoughts?
