Firefighters are trained to respond very quickly. They move fast, connect the hoses, and start stopping the fire. The country is on fire and no one really bothers to much. They stopped water from hydrants. What is happening here? We have seen strong winds in other places, but no fires like this. In my city, a house caught fire when it was windy, but the firefighters stopped it very quickly and it did not spread.

Because when each house or building burns down, it breaks the water mains. Think about it. As a building burns, it collapses, the water pipes break, and there is no automatic shut off at the meter. What does this mean? It means that when each building burns down, the water to the building just gushes out and water pressure to the neighborhood drops. The more buildings burn, the more the neighborhood LITERALLY hemorrhages water.
Idk but I feel bad for all the groceries in there getting wasted instead allowing people to take as they evacuate. I know it’s not something we should be worrying about but still what a waste 😪

@@froggynzack correct, at higher elevations there are issues with water pressure, but saying ‘there is no water period’ is not true. There is water. But the overwhelming demand is causing issues in some areas. Too many on social media (not you) are alluding that the water issue is caused by mismanagement, which is not the case.
@froggynzack I just heard that tptb, decided to dump all the excess rain water collected last year, into the ocean instead of storing it, and the mayor cut the fire fighters budget by 17 million dollars too so they are short staffed.
