- What up everyone, in this video I go over how to set up a xbox or playstation controller as a basic Wii remote. I go over the settings and motion controls on the Dolphin Emulator. These settings might not be universal and you may need to configure them from game to game and sometimes during the game depending on tilt controls. Hopefully this video will be enough to get you stared with the Wii and Nunchuck

Which part of the motion simulation do I change to get Mario to move? On my Xbox gamepad I can't get him to move after I followed your instructions...

For Target Terror on the General and Options section in the Dolphin settings wii Remote 1 where do I change it so I can reload while aiming down and clicking the trigger? Is it Button A, B,1, 2, -, or +?
How did you set the inclination from the lvl with Surfing? play the game with a steamdeck but can't do these levels because I can't make an inclination

I have a question for you. I use emulated wii remote and buttons work fine. but I got an issue. The wii remote motion works ok with mouse but when i move left and right my mouse it does not work. Also you button x and button y where do those buttons come from where do you get them? Thanks in advance
it works but it seems to follow the faster cursor (the gray one) instead of the red slower cursor (I want it to follow the red one) and only follows the red one once I stop

I did everything but still nothing happens . The only button that works is the home button but nothing else. A bit of help please ?

Thank you bro, at least now I can move the cursor a little bit, cause it’s really annoying in shooter games, it does not work properly and sometimes I even have to shake the controller in order for the cursor to move around.
What is imput relative? Dead zone how much?10%?

The cursor doesnt appear at all for me unless I use my dpad to select dialogue options for example and I followed all the steps. Could my controller be at fault? Im using a Powera Enhanced Wired Xbox Controller

everthing is bassically working but the shake is off or something becaue playing spiderman shattered dimensions i cant get past the tutorial

oh this might be a longshot, but has anyone figured out the "swing" part for a controller or even keyboard and mouse? i am playing black ops no issue with the classic controller extension, but i need some movement for the crazy monkeyz petz game. I need to swing the wiimote for tricks and im having a nightmare figuring it out. I have the pointer mapped to my mouse, should i just switch it over to the stick and then try swing with the mouse?
EDIT: okay i fucking got it. I changed both tilt and swing to the right stick (same buttons/directions) and then changed my pointer to the left stick.
all my other controls work but my pointing ones dont , it doesnt even show up in game as working. if you know anything lmk please
Set extension as nunchuck. Go to extension and change the stick settings

Trying to get the gyro in my joycon to act as the IR pointer and dolphin definitely picks it up, but whenever I actually try it in a game, no movement whatsoever.

I’m trying to figure how to do something similar in Galaxy 2 on my Steam Deck. Stuck trying to configure the Fluzzard’s motion controls.
i had to make a separate controller profile for those type of missions and remap a few things. I can't entirely remember right now. Something with adjusting the tilt settings under motion simulation

for the record, the dualshock 4 (and dualsense) DOES have gyro, so you CAN do motion control

i tried the deadzone and relative input settings, it fixed the sensitivity problem, however im still oddly getting a lot of drift which makes some games that use the right stick almost unusable, any suggestion for this?
If you take a couple screenshots of your emulator controller settings and upload to Imgur and post the link. I could take a look if I spot something.

is ANY other option still mapped to the mouse? had a similar issue til i realized i had the mouse cursor and my stick both counting for the input, it takes the mouse input over the gamepad.

i am having the same issue all of the other configure settings are working fine but there is not a relative input option and my cursor just sits in the middle of the screen laughing at me like i am an idiot

Yeah, if you connect your controller to your phone (it works with Bluetooth i think) you can basically do the same things he did and youre done, i think thats all, but if there are problems, idk what you do then 🤷🏻
I wish I could use a VR controller or something for the emulated Wiimote & Nunchuck. They've got much better motion tracking and they're already like an enhanced Nunchuck in each hand, especially the Oculus controllers (Rift, Quest, Meta Quest, etc).
I still can't seem to move my character though, any ideas?
In the extention tab calibrate your left stick, I'm not sure why he didn't show this in the video, my guess is that it seemed kind of like a common sense thing, idk, but anyways I had the same issue

Can I do this with my Switch Pro Controller as well if I'm using a USB android charger and Bluetooth adapter as well? Want to play Super Mario Galaxy and beat it with using texture packs. Also can I do the same with Joy Cons as well for Super Mario Galaxy as Wii remotes as well if I'm using a dongle? Thanks! Been ages since I did any of this. B I N G O ! AFTER 4 DAYS 1) Step 1) Buy the Dolphin Bar
2) Step to connect it on usb select MODE 4
3) Make sure you have BLUETOOHT LE ENUMERATOR or use USB 4.0 Bluetooth iotherwise it will be BYPASSED!
4) Step 4 oepn your REAL WII REMOTE (NOT THRID PARTY WILL NOT WORK!) and click the red rset button to synv
5) Step 5 use Dolphin 5.0 STABL;E OR LATEST DEVELOPMENT VERSION ( N O T ) BETA
6) Step 6 WAIT TILL IT VIBRATES ENJOY :D
