Take in the beauty and nature that is the Isle of Skye! We simply loved it and can so recommend a visit to this part of Scotland. We adore the Scottish Highlands although this time the midges were extremely bad so next time we might visit the Highlands in autumn. Enjoy! Kirsten & Joerg

Hi both we have been to Scotland many times and we have found out that DONT wear Aftershave or Perfume as you will get attacked by Midges.! I think God put midges in Scotland so it would never become over populated! I suffer dreadfully but they seem to leave my husband alone.Yes we also went on the Calendonian McBrayne Ferry it's great! My Aunt an Uncle were childless
Oh they took us everywhere so much so we considered Scotland

How spectacular the Isle of Skye is. Oh my goodness, that beach with pristine white sand..the countryside, and the remains of the castle. I enjoyed this so much. What a beautiful place. Actually we watch a couple on youtube who moved to Skye (Living the Skye Life) and get to enjoy the scenery almost weekly as they renovate their old cottage. The Isle of Skye looks like a different world, paradise actually. We hope you return soon and show us more sights. Your videos are absolutely gorgeous!

What views, part 1 & 2. The beach was glorious, a lot of times it looks like pebble & stone, nice to see the sand. My friend went to Ireland, she said she'd never seen such beautiful green.
I live in a very arid region of South Africa and seeing all that beautiful rain and the wonderful greenery is balm for the soul.

Splendid videos of the amazing Isle of Skye. I visited last year through a touring company and you’ve made me realize how much I didn’t get to see. Scotland is beautiful all over, so I look forward to your next visits there and more wonderful videos. The drone footage was spectacular Joerg! I’ve never had the experience you had Kirsten, with those awful biting flies and I hope to avoid them altogether! I think the Isle of Skye is best enjoyed by driving yourself; so much more you can experience! Thanks for sharing your visit to Skye with all of us. I always love your videos so much.😊

Your choice of music is always perfect. As for midges, I used to do archaeology and all the archaeologists on the digs wore the head nets. They are wide enough to drape over the brim of a hat so you don't feel claustrophobic. They are lightweight to carry. Skin So Softly by Avon is supposed to deter them. But a handy head net is a huge relief if they are swarming. In Scotland the midges are known to stop trains.

Yay, I finally got to view Part II of your Skye adventures. You drove past the outskirts of Glencoe, which seems really beautiful and it's known for its waterfalls and trails. I heard it's very beautiful. I hated to see this video end. Well, on to the next!

I really enjoyed your trip. In Canada we have black flies and mosquitoes which are a scourge! I would have to visit Scotland in the “no midge” season.
I watch another UA-cam channel called “Living the Skye Life”. Also very enjoyable.
Reminds me of the Hamish Macbeth books and TV series. It’s in Sutherland but looks very similar to Skye.
