Thanks for another great thoroughly researched and well-tested cookie recipe that I can't wait to add to my cookie repertoire! Your hard work and dedication to your channel is greatly appreciated! Your videos make my day, and your son is adorable!
I'm adding these to my holiday baking list. I'm hosting a holiday tea in a couple weeks and they will definitely be on the cookie tray. Thanks for a great recipe!
Those are adorable 😍. I'll definitely be trying these cookies. Those would be great to take on camping trips if you don't have a Portable Refrigerator with an actual Freezer compartment... mock up Ice Cream 🍦 🍨 works for that. ❤ it!
Nice!! One of my hubby's fav Ice cream flavors!! Cant wait to try this for him! However, I know it will be great❤.(like so many of yours, I've already done) 🎉Loved your special guest at the end!! L U K E😁...wanted " the biggest one", 😂! That's a boy for ya!! Get ready for the "2nd man" appetite as he gets older, too!!😂 Happy holidays 2 you guys!!! Thank you for ALL the work you put in❤!
Until I saw the new short I forgot to reply that I made these hours after the initial video came out! 😂 They are SUCH a striking and cool cookie, and quite good! Then I made them a second time to see if I could get the flavors to be a bit more distinct from each other (to be clear there is nothing wrong with the original recipe! ❤) , which was mostly for the strawberry part. The vanilla part was good with malted milk powder stiffening it up instead of corn starch, but it needs more of it to do that relative to corn starch. The strawberry part I added 1/2 tsp strawberry extract, a SMALL pinch of Chinese five spice powder (Stella Parks uses this trick in a few of her strawberry recipes), and then I added a little beet root powder for color since the pink was a bit washed out the first time. I added 1/2 tsp espresso powder to the chocolate portion to enhance the chocolate flavor; I suspect dutched cocoa powder would be very chocolatey too, but I didn’t experiment because the pH would have been different than the other doughs and the chocolate already wants to overwhelm the other flavors. That version turned out pretty well, too! Thank you so much for sharing your ideas and hard work with us. ❤
made these today and LOVE them, I had to use dried strawberries as can't get freeze dried, whizzed them up wd strawberry drink pwdr, worked perfectly with intense strawberry flavour. I will add a bout a tablespoon extra butter to the original mix as after cooling in the fridge the choc and strawberry were a bit crumbly, I had to squish it in my hand to come together, also found the choc very strong, good for me but not the kids. a real keeper though
This cookie is going onto my cookie baking list. With I think 3 other cookie recipies from you!! These look so fun and yummy! And eggs.. I love the fresh eggs i get from my hens .. I had to buy eggs last week for all the thanksgiving baking and cooking.. They don’t even compare!
@@charlottekearn5185 they are so pretty! And oddly, I do have freeze dried strawberries! What about using unsweetened strawberry jello? I think it would work in a pinch🙂
Those look fantastic! I need to take these to my sister's house on Christmas Day. These will change things up and make them wonder how I got the ice cream to stay frozen, even if it's super cold up in Michigan that day!
You’re killing me Sam! I made so many of your pecan praline cookies that I thought I could never bake again. Now I have freeze dried strawberries on my shopping list for tomorrow. lol.
I made these and took them to work. (I take cookies to work every Wednesday. I work at a Walmart Neighborhood Market.) Everyone loved them. Said they tasted like the ice cream. They were gone by the time I went to lunch. Actually they were almost gone in two hours.
Ok lol so now I can say you have really outdone yourself now 😂 this is a cookie that will be my undoing. I'm addicted to Neapolitan to begin with and now you gotta go and invent a cookie???? Eeeesh
I love your channel! Been a fan for awhile! I can't wait to try these! Also, please let me know where you got those earrings!! I love them! Thank you❤❤❤😊
👋 Hi! Theese look so great! I will try them soon. My hens slowed way down on the eggs too and store bought just aren't the same! Your videos are so helpful, yesterday I did your Spice cake, topped with a cheesecake and your buttercream frosting for a late Thanksgiving, everyone loved it. How can I get the cake more dense? I
I'm so glad everyone enjoyed it so much! Sounds like an awesome combination. The spice cake was designed to be light so I don't have good advice on how to make it more dense. :(
Greetings from Omaha, Nebraska! You mentioned feeding your chickens more oyster shells. How does this help? Any decision on a cookbook?!!! God bless you and your family!
The oyster shell strengthens the shell with added calcium. I find it does typically help. I am working on a cookbook currently, but I'm not sure when exactly I will get it completed. :)
Okay, so I made these cookies. They taste good (and look EXACTLY like scooped ice cream). BUT they are SUPER chalky and dry. I believe this is from all of the cornstarch and powdered flavorings. I’m wondering if there’s a way to create a more moist cookie while still keeping an I cream-like appearance. If you make these for Christmas- make sure you have PLENTY of milk in the house for dunking, as you’ll need it 😂
@@SugarSpunRunI only baked them for barely 10 minutes- and they were barely golden, just like on your video. To me, the crumb of the cookie didn’t have enough moisture (even after they cooled completely) 🤷♀️
“I’m here for cookies, not for a workout.” lol That should be printed on a tshirt!
Agreed! Lol! 😊
🤣
I loved that so much haha!

Thank you so much 😀
I can't wait to make these for an ice cream social I am planning next year, thanks for sharing.

If I were to use a 3 tablespoon scoop for this will it be able to cook through evenly?🍪 these look so good!
It will work. 😊 They will just need to bake longer.

Can you make a "white cake" with lemon filling! 🎂🍋

😂😂
Do cherry chocolate chip cookies next!
Great idea!
Sugar Spun, what's the difference if any between white and brown parchment paper?
White is bleached and I prefer to use unbleached, but as far as baking on them goes there’s no real difference :)

Calcium I believe

Can this recipe be done with a stand mixer?
Sure thing. :)
I may do almost the same thing if I were to make root beer float cookies. What do you think?
I'm not sure exactly how to do it, but it sounds like a good idea! :)

Try baking them a tad less time, they shouldn't be dry.

Hmm, could be the flour was accidentally over measured? I hate a dry cookie and these should not be so.
@@SugarSpunRunnah, flour was measured exactly. Perhaps “dry” is the wrong word.... it’s more like they were “chalky”.
Oh my God they look like 🍨 ice cream I think I'll like it though they are neopolitian to be honest
Lil darling
Why you do this to ur stand mixer??? 😂
