    Super solid review. Again lots detail about shape, well done.
    Also been using this mouse 2 days and its so freaking good. You get so nice grip with it. Every other mouse feels like no grip at all after using this. 18 x 10.5 hand here and i grip it allmost same way as you but pinkie more vertical tho.

      I feel the same. I've put hundreds of hours on the s2 shape across the og and S2-C, but after just a few days of G303 it feels so weird. This might ruin other claw shapes because they can't compare to how locked in it feels.

    Crzy... I have much smaller hands than everyone else buying this mouse. It's by far my absolute favorite mouse. I wish I had this thing back when it launched. I was a bit skeptical at first but I landed a good deal for $35 on ebay. Bought some 3rd party skates and it was a brand new mouse again. even with the smaller hands, for some reason it hits right at home. Maybe my style was always claw and never paid attention until this. Coming from the g502 for about 4 years.

    Previous mains:
    - GPX: I hate the potato shape buy I aim well with it.
    - G305: I hated the shape initially but I grew to love the inward sloping sides. The G303 has the sloping sides while filling out my hand better.

    Some years back i bought a 303 apex, but with larger hands and slender fingers it was really tough on getting used to it. Glad to hear they increased the volumes in this redesign and it will surely suit a wider range of people. The apex was such a conflicting and interesting experience though.. the thing is, it is really good for aim. But perhaps due to hand size, maybe because of the very aggressive taper and slanted sides, my claw would either be so clawed up that my fingers end up exerting too much pressure to lift the mouse off the pad, or with a relaxed claw my ring and thumb fingers would end up pinching too far front where the base was getting just a bit too narrow.
    Nevertheless i stuck with it for a couple months and managed to perform quite near my relative top, just with a caveat of discomfort due to being a bit too frequently conscious about the shape in my hand. For the adaptation process it was interesting for me to find out that the way my hand dealt with the lack of control and inability to press the mouse into the pad well enough ( which is something i like to do a bit to lock my mouse in some situations) was to roll significantly to the right, shift pad contact more to my outer palm behind my pinkie, and adopt this hybrid tense/relaxed claw in which my ring finger would be completely extended out, hugging the right ridge of the mouse for a substantially bigger contact point while my other fingers whould keep a pronounced claw, with my thumb just pressing the mouse into my ring finger.
    For the long run though i really prefer being comfortable in all types of movement and barely feel like im holding a mouse. Typically, it is the case when on the desktop i am able to lightly flick in every direction equally well, flick horizontally with very little vertical change, and circle around my cursor or draw nice 8s on the screen with fluid and quick movements, without too many spikey, broken turns. If i am able to do these well for me it would mean that i have good general control with a shape, in contrast, on some mice i might find that horizontal is good, but when it comes to vertical resolution it might be significantly more inconsistent/uncomfy, and that's what i felt like a bit with the old 303 too. Micro adjustments or spray control it was super good, but when i had to flick or turn more vertically it would be much harder to get consistent and i would always have to readjust.
    In conclusion, shape is still king as they say, and don't forget, i guess even if you can, it's really not worth forcing your wrists to adapt to a wrong size, crazy grips or something that is just not your style, potentially risking long term injury just because of weight or because some pros use certain mice. Remember, carpal tunnel is gonna affect your aim (and much more) much worse than having to move around 10 grams more or having a larger shape that you may fear will affect your ability to 180 flick hs someone in a 1 in a 100 clutch!

    Got the mouse on Sunday. I'm also really surprised by how good it is like you Krafty. At first I found it very clunky and awkward but after a couple days I found a grip that's currently working for me. I grip the mouse by putting my thumb and pinky near the biggest width point on the mouse and solely rely on my thumb and pinky for mouse control while keeping my thumb and pinky always touching the mousepad. I let my ringer finger just hang on the side and don't really use it which was something I had to get used to. It's a completely different mouse grip than any other especially coming from the XM1R.
    But overall the aiming experience is very similar to my favorite mouse the XM1R. Micro flicks are very easy as the width of the mouse causes my hand to stay wide and helps me make tight movements with my wrist where I can stop and go instantly. Micro adjustments are good too but not as good as my XM1R but honestly I'm getting used to the G303 very quickly so I feel it has the potential to have as good micro adjustments as XM1R or better for me. I feel that with how I grip the G303, I rely more on my wrist for micro-adjustments whereas I rely more on fingers for micro adjustments on my XM1R. For reference, I actually feel a lot of maneuverability on the XM1R as I used to fingertip grip and would solely rely on my wrist or fingers for micro adjustments on the XM1R.
    Comfort wise, at first it was a bit uncomfortable, but I'm actually starting to feel quite comfortable on it. The first hour or so of playing with it I might feel a little tension in my hand, but as I play more my hand just melts into the mouse to where I barely notice it anymore and just focus on the game. For me I actually found the XM1R very comfortable after getting used to it by playing with it for a couple months and I know with certainty the G303 will also become even more comfortable and possibly be even more comfy than the XM1R, if not solely for being wireless. I also think if this mouse was 65g or lighter it will dramatically increase the comfort because of its shape. Shroud says if it sells well they will make a G303 Superlight, but they could have just made this superlight. I know Logitech wants to make more money this way so...
    In conclusion, the G303 is a keeper for me and I am seriously considering maining it. The aiming experience is very similar to my XM1R, could potentially be better as I already hit new high scores on Kovaaks with the G303, the comfort is also really good with potential to be more comfy than my XM1R. If anything, I may just main the G303 solely because it's wireless. Going to give it a couple more weeks and decided on that, but I am definitely keeping it part of my rotation as a minimum. So for me XM1R >= G303 (G303 could be top in a couple weeks)> UL2 (best aim, but uncomfy), NP01S > S2C

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому

      That sounds like a very weird grip, goes to show how unique and non-universal the shape is. I do also wish it was a superlight option. I don't mind the weight because I'm so used to zowie mice, but lighter is always better imo. If it continues to be as good for me moving forward, a g303 x superlight might be the only thing that could ever beat it.

    • @KraftyCraftKraf

      I thought so too. Its because of the weirdly shaped hump and aggressively curved sides. It keeps he back end from being restrictive despite its size and you can get such solid grip on the sides to get finer control. The G303 feels just as nimble and precise as a small mouse, the exact opposite of what I thought it'd be.

    Great shape review as always! Got this mouse also end of last week. Freaking love it. I play more of a relaxed claw on it with a more flat thumb. For the first days it seems like its the perfect mix between stability, precision and maneuverability. I ask myself frequently if it would be bette if it would be lighter, or if it is the perfect weight. Due to the more relaxed claw i feel a bit of pressure on my pinky side palm muscle, because the tension is more at the bottom of the muscle and not so much in between the two big muscels. But it seems to get better over the days for me. Maybe i found my new favourite mouse. I hope you as well!

    • @KraftyCraftKraf

      Orochi v2 should be much better for fingertip. It’s much smaller, especially in the back, so you should have the full range of motion and lack of hand contact that you want with ftip. The g303’s hump will probably be too bulky to get a pure ftip and you’ll likely end up with some claw hybrid grip due to some hard to avoid hand contact.

    How are the clicks compared to the outset ax and ec3 in terms of spamming (tapping in fps games or MOBA games for example)? Could you rank them?

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому +2

      The clicks are okay for spamming. Their lack of travel and somewhat hard force that that is required to actuate them makes it a little awkward to repeatedly spam them, but they are so crisp that I have no issues with them feeling responsive in these situations. The Outset AX has fantastic clicks for spamming. They’re super light and the tight tensioned travel gives them a bouncy feel that makes it super comfortable and easy to spam. Ec3 is decent but they don’t snap back to neutral as quickly as the outset so they’ll feel a little slower but still totally doable.

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому +2

      The main difference is that the gpx clicks are a little lighter and have more travel to them. The tactile response is super similar due to them using the same switch so they aren’t too different. I prefer the gpx because I like these softer feeling clicks, but the g303 still feels great. I’ll have to see if there’s a break in period before I can be totally sure though.

      It could work out well at that hand size. At your length, you will have to curl your fingers back quite far to get the hump deep in your hand like I do. Otherwise, you will end up with a claw/ftip hybrid, but I think that grip would work very well too. The hump can allow for the high range of motion you want in ftip, but still is still tall enough to be there for you when you want that extra support. Check out Fresh Reviews video on the g303 if you haven't already. He has a similar hand size as you and uses that claw/ftip grip I am talking about.

      Yeah it should work out well for you. The shape was edited to work better for larger hands. You will have to curl your fingers back further to get the hump deep into your hand like I do, so be aware of that. I'm not as sure about the extra width your hand has on mine, though. You'll probably interact a little differently with the hump and end up wrapping your hand around it a little bit more than I do due to your larger palm size. 11cm is starting to get pretty wide, so I'm not sure about how comfortable it will be for you, but this shape works in mysterious ways and I don't fully understand it yet, so could still be a great claw grip option for all hand sizes.

      If you grip similarly to I do and like an aggressive feel then the g303 could work out pretty well. Otherwise the gpx is super safe and a very easy recommendation to make. It’s far more universal than the g303 and almost no matter what you’ll be able to find a grip that’s at least usable.

    • @str8harry
      @str8harry 2 роки тому +1

      I think you'll like the G303 quicker than the superlight because it's easier to find a good grip with the ergo design. It literally took me like 2-3 weeks with the GPX before I felt like I could get a consistent grip. Imo the G303 is probably the better choice, but if you want ultra light ambidextrous nice glide shape then get GPX. G303 doesn't feel insanely light to me. Some people like light and others don't idk. Or if you have the money just buy them both and return the one you don't like. I'm doing that, but I think I'm just keeping them both because they're both great.

      Damn, we just always align I guess, weird. I haven't too adventurous when it comes to mouse feel and have only tried corepads and tiger ice. I like both of them a lot and have yet to find any stock feet that can compare to how they feel besides roccat's heat treated options. Ice are super sooth and fast with an extremely premium feeling glide that helps smooth out surfaces. Corepads are just slightly slower and not as buttery smooth, but they really accentuate the surface texture of pads like the xten and help them to feel more controlled and responsive. I'll have to get around to trying tiger arcs sometime and see how I feel. Lethal's upcoming glass skates look cool too.
