Looks like that one with the burn hole in it was labeled as defective in the factory and then got bought up by a third party and resold, it happens a lot in China.

If it doesn't prompt you to install Razer software (bloatware) when plugging it in, then it's an upgarde!
and they are lighter than the real one. So even better!

@bvbs5572 The problem is.. what usually people (especially from america) call cheap stuff on wish, can be easily found in local stores for half the price.. just as a quick example, youtubers act like a 10$ mouse pad is a great deal, while you can easily find a branded one, (and usually they are even bigger, like 90x30cm) for like 5$?..
Can't be worse than getting something from razer officially.

major difference is that when you plug in original razer mouse, the mouse automatically downloads the drivers, i guess the copy doesn't do that.

That's said as a joke, but honestly coming across weird combos of authentic/counterfeit stuff like this tends to be well worth the price compared to the cost of hunting down specific components.

@@ra3dlightning844 DPI isn't the whole story, as shown in the video with the sensor losing track and spinning out. There's much more work required than simply swapping the sensor as I'm presuming you're referring to. You'd need to replace it with an appropriate controller and that is guaranteed to have different voltage/communication requirements than the one installed, meaning altering the components/trace design on the pcb itself. So unless you're interested in electrical engineering and want to challenge yourself, that's a project that far exceeds effort and expense of just buying a Razer mouse hahaha

i own a deathadder essential. its very solid, but its heavy compared to most mice nowadays. but, the shape is lovely

@@januthcs4286 Have you considered the DAV3 Wired? It's $70 but has the same specs as the DAV3 Pro, 8khz, better coating, and the only downside is a cable.
I got a basilisk v3 and I am convinced that the 20-30g difference between it and my old deathadder v2 is negligable.
@@nxskii_ thats a big ass mouse, with too many buttons for me. i play some fps games, so the weight, as long as its below 80 grams, i would say is ideal
update 4 months later, usually since they are from 2014, the deathadders wont show in synapse 3, idk if it would change or not, but installing synapse 2 would probably make it show up.

I was a razer fanboy when I was younger, after growing up a bit I realised that all of their peripherals feel cheap and plasticy in my opinion, I now only have a razer headset which I think is their only good peripheral 🤷♂️
I think the only good things they do are the keyboards, controllers and headsets. (They’re all mad expensive and the cheapest one is the black shark v2 X for 50 bucks)

I bought one from aliexpress and they are refusing a refund ... despite showing them it is not detected on synapse. Now told them about the weight and polling so maybe they will change their mind? I will only buy form ebay from now on.

I've seen these mice IRL on my friends' desktops, and oh boy the amount of pride they have of having it thinking they have the real deal and they are in their 20s. They bought their mice all at once for 300php(that's like 7usd) in 2019, they bought 4 of them for each. These were on our online stores (Lazada and Shopee)

Theres a reason a lot of companies will only have one chinese factory make one component of their product and they end up working with a bunch of different factories. If one factory was chosen to produce most of it, you.would see a knockoff in a week.

Ill never buy any other another mouse than deathadder ever again. Tried 4 logi and they broke after 1-, 1.5year all had same issue double click g103, g304, g402, g504.
And my v2 deathadder has outlived every one of them them combined😂(had scroll wheel issues after 3 years of usage but it fixed itself somehow)

I think i have a fake one also 😅 but it works even after 3 years and my hand does not hurt as it would with a previous mouse so i call it a win , also i got it for 2 dollars from someone . I still have bragging rights , nobody can tell the diffrence , unless they try to connect it to synapse .😅

Fake or not Razer makes terrible mice period they brake so fast i had 3 Razer mice due to the nice shape they had (claw grip) and they all broke withing 4 to 5 months...). Now i use Logitech G502 for over 2 years not a single issue. I am not the only one who knows Razer is BAD many threads online about them and their poor QC yet ask HIGH prices....I wouldn't be surprised if the FAKE Razer would OUTLAST the "real" Razer mouse lol.
I got a razer viper in 2020 and its held up completely fine with no issues and i dont treat it well

Mine is fake because I think it's made from china and the scroll wheel don't have the green light shining on it and i opened it up and it has the light soldered in the main board of the mouse and it has no 3 screws it has 1 screw and the main board is not made from razer it's made from instant micro electronics too
