  • Both of these mods feel great on the G303 SE, especially the new version of Lethal's Skates.
    What do you think of the new style on the past two videos? Should I keep this one where I try to use fewer edits and speak more freely, or go back to the old delivery style with a lot more cuts.
    I might tweet sometimes, give me a follow :) KraftyCraftKraf

    Hey Krafty, thanks for putting this out. I got the orange grips, but I'm feeling a little jealous of the blue. The grips helped out my sweaty hands with the g303 too, for a more consistent grip. I used the X shaped grip on the very back (butt end) of the mouse where the palm contacts the mouse. It feels good there. I found this video because I was looking for new skates. After using the g303 for a while it feels like the mouse or maybe just the skates seem to resist/make that initial motion slower and now I think I'll be trying the glass v2 which sounds pretty good. So thanks again.

    I love grassfeet but I have been testing diferent mousefeet and I noticed they are very sensitive to the most minimal sweat or dirtiness in your mousepad it take some of the initial friction and smoothness ptfe doesn't do this. So I have to change back to ptfe for more that Ilove the glass one. a lot of ppl start to notice the same with glass skates.

    Hey brother, I was wondering how are your LGG glass skates holding up at this point? Tempted to try them but I hear so many mixed things about their lasting power

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому +2

      LGG skates hold up better than pulsars since they are not coated, but they will still slow down significantly over time. This isn't actually a bad thing imo, because broken in glass performs quite well. They have very high stopping power but retain the low static friction so they present a very unique feeling of balance that I really enjoy.

      I have 11x20 and this mouse fits like a glove with my relaxed claw grip. I use to swap mice once in awhile between orichi v2 and Super light and now since the G303, they are collecting dust. Those grips look real good, I have pretty sweaty hands myself. What other mouse grips have you tried and would you recommend this over all the others?(BTL, lizard skins)
    Do you have any plans to review the ceramic mousepad from TJ Exclusives? Saw Good Enough Tech Reviews's vid on it and seems pretty interesting due to the typical glass static friction but high dynamic friction.

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому +1

      These are the first grips I’ve tried. I never really saw a point to them before and thought that they would be too thick to be comfortable so I’ve always stayed away. Now that I’m interested in them I might try out some of the other options out there.
      That ceramic mousepad looks really cool. I am certainly interested in it but the current size is unusable for me so I’d have to wait for a revision.

    I’ve started maining the g303 se and just picked up core pads and a Venus before I saw the glass skates, probably not worth getting at this point right? Also I’m curious if I should get the grips, I don’t mind the grip on the mouse currently. Any feedback!

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому

      Corepads are still always incredible. You should only give glass feet a shot if you feel like trying something new because they aren’t really an upgrade, just a completely different experience that you may enjoy more.
      As for the grips, they’re never really worth it on a mouse that doesn’t have an awful coating for you, unless it’s your endgame. They will always be an improvement for sure, just not a huge one. I’d give yourself some more time with the mouse to be sure you’re going to be sticking with it first.

    Did yours slow down? I don't see people talking about it, other than Reddit. I saw a single video about it from khensational I think. I have superglides on the G303 shroud on a Wugi 2. There's a dead muddy spot in the middle of the pad, very noticeable and distracting, unusable. I have a viper ult with tiger ice skates and there's a smooth steady glide using the same pad. Did you have that happen after long term use of the Lethal ones?

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому +2

      Yeah I’ve experienced the same thing but it’s not been much of an issue with frequent cleaning. Glass skates seem to be much more sensitive to dust and oil buildup than ptfe so you have to be on top of your regular pad maintenance, especially with a pad like the wugi2 that tends to be a magnet for that stuff. What I’ve founds works best is taking a damp microfiber cloth to the pad and scrubbing gently to release the dust, using small amounts of dish soap with through rinsing as necessary. And for the skates, wiping down with rubbing alcohol works fine but wd40 or equivalent degreaser would work best. Using these methods should restore the glide to close to the out of the box experience.

      @@KraftyCraftKraf I had a feeling it could be that, I have sweaty hands, glad to hear you tested it and got it worked out. I'll try cleaning mine. Honestly tho, it kinda bummed me out of glass. Clean is a better experience, but the inconsistency over time is not welcomed. I'll probably stick with the right grip (g303), right pad (Wugi 2), but PTFE. The feel degradation was very noticeable very fast.

    You should do a WuGi2 review. Would be nice to see that. I've seen mixed things about it and I don't know if I should get it or not, I've seen people saying it's a nice balance of speed/control and others saying it is purely speed.

    • @toastbuttered6313
      @toastbuttered6313 2 роки тому

      @@KraftyCraftKraf I'll be waiting on it! I love your reviews. What would you say the WuGi2 is like? Speed or control? I have been trying to find a pad that helps with A/D strafe close range tracking (on Apex Legends), coming from slow-medium speed pads. I think you recommended me the Odin Eclipse before for that but I went with the Radar( it was on sale) instead since I think you said it was similar or a better version of that and even that did not help. I think I just need a more speedier low friction mousepad w/ control and supposedly the WuGi2 has very low friction and stopping power when it comes to larger swipes.

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому

      @@toastbuttered6313 The WuGi2 is a very special pad that I feel challenges the speed vs control paradigm by offering a little bit of each without sitting in the middle like other balanced pads. Your comment at the beginning is pretty accurate to how it feels. With a light touch on small motions it feels quite fast and highly unrestrictive, but once you get more agressive with your swipes and press down it breaks hard and gains a high amount of stability.
      Its a great fit for a/d tracking in particular because it has a quite snappy feeling when you change direction and its extra friction helps you to stay smooth and centered on the target inbetween strafes.
      When I say that I prefer control pads for reactive tracking its because I'm naturally a pretty gittery aimer so higher friction helps me stay centered and promote better habits now that I have to be more deliberate with my mouse control when I change directions. So it is very preferentail what type of pad you choose for specific applications and this choice is likely going to be sylistically dependent.

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому

      Rough pads are definitely the way go for glass skates imo, especially for the v2. The bumpy texture plus smooth glide feels incredible and super responsive. Smooth pads have too little feedback with glass feet for me to be comfortable.
      The WuGi2 is the exception here because it is a pretty smooth pad but its still my favorite surface overall for glass feet. It has that super synthetic surface feel that creates a satisfying glide for glass and they are able to bring out a little bit of the very fine texture detail the weave has. The combo is so good, would highly recommend.

    Have you had any issues with the cursor moving slightly on its own? I have them on my super light and the mouse itself sits still but the cursor slowly drags

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому

      Yeah I had that same issue. It because the static friction is so low that if your desk isn't completely level and you use a somewhat fast pad you'll get that slight cursor drift. It may seem like your mouse stays still, but even the most slight movement will get picked up weird by the sensor. If you re-level your desk it should be completely fine.

    • @KraftyCraftKraf

    Glass feet or Skypad? Which do you believe is superior

    • @KraftyCraftKraf
      @KraftyCraftKraf  2 роки тому +1

      I've been thinking about that lately and it's very hard to say. They both have the very similar benefits of low static friction while still feeling controllable, but there are still some key differences that make it hard to say. The Skypad still has an unmatched level of consistency and the texture is really nice, but glass surfaces come with a lot of discomfort and weird quirks. Glass feet on the other hand are more flexible since you can adjust the amount of texture and dynamic friction you have based on pad choice, but they've never quite felt as responsive as a glass pad.
      I'm thinking about taking the time to directly test ptfe on glass against glass on cloth and making a video on my conclusoins when I don't have any new stuff to talk about.
