Every time you two go quite its usually something major like the deaths of Dillon, Shaun's dad, Covid and you wonder why we worry about you. I don't even know you and I worry!
So glad you have recovered. I’m sure everyone was as worried for you as I have been. I’m sure all those who offered suggestions or advice were just so concerned about what you were going through. You probably don’t realize how much both of you have become dear friends to us. Take care! ❤
Welcome back on YT guys. Colin your experiences with that kidney stone made me think back to my days as a qualified and registered radiographer. Part of my job was to operate our sound wave stone crusher. We crushed kidney stones or gallbladder stones with very powerful focused soundwaves, and the debris could just be peed out and the patient could avoid a major operation, just like you! It was one of my favorite modalities in the ward. All it took to relieve a patient's pain and ailments was a skilled urologist and a skilled radiology technician (me!). I'm glad you're back to your normal self again and I'm looking forward to your next vlogs.
Hurray!! So lovely to see u both and to hear that your health now much improved. As a nurse of 37 years thankyou for your continued ringing endorsement of the healthcare that is provided in this country, usually by experienced professionals who sacrifice their own health and well being in order to care for those that need it! Really looking forward to all the new vlogs and adventures. You really bring a lot of joy and general silliness certainly to this old gal! 🤣 Thanks v much xx🐾
I, personally, think informing people about what happened is very helpful; it takes away some of the fear and mystery about what our bodies do.I kept my friends and family informed about what happened with my heart so they know what to look out for. So glad you are doing well. Take care of yourselves my friends. Don't apologize for missing a few weeks--shit happens.
So good to know you’re fit and well. So, no worrying, Colin and enjoy the winter with lovely Shaun. I must add, as you did; from experience, when living on Skye, Raigmore is a fantastic hospital (and Aberdeen) which serves the whole of the Highlands and outer Islands including Shetland and Orkney! Wonderful NHS.
So very glad you’re healed and feeling well! As others have said, if you two are quiet, something serious is afoot. When people care about others, they worry about them. You both need to know how much we all care about you!❤️
Ooh Colin, you had me wincing so much watching your video. So happy for you that you are now rid of the pain. Thanks for the NHS shout out, my daughter is a doctor and is amazing and so dedicated, but they are all working under difficult conditions xx
Good to see your back home with a smile on your face , I've had a similar experience having a tube yanked out of my " disco stick " but mine was after heart surgery , but as I was off my face on tramadol at the time I never felt a thing 😁 . Take care lads .
OMG How hysterical!, Having been through the process I appreciate your explanation and candid visualizations. I am so glad you are far enough on the other side to share and find humor in the entire process!
OMG, Colin!!! I can't believe this whole painful ordeal you've had to endure! I am SO HAPPY you've had a successful outcome & now you & Shaun can carry on with your lives! Take care & get a lot of rest! Sending love and hugs & big cuddle for Otis!❤🐕❤
You were missed. Glad you are back and ready to tackle those most important jobs as chief navvie, and bee keeper, and cackleberry harvester, and sheep sheerer. Hope to see you again making my Fridays better. Love you both!
So hi! My name is Leeann, I’m From Vancouver Canada but travel the world. My grandson and I are spending 7 days in a rental cannel boat next week. You guys are the best !
I’m an ex-urology theatre nurse and can very much relate to your situation. My wife has had about 4 sessions of lasertripsy and she is extremely sensitive to stents….no fun at all. Glad your disco stick has recovered.
You have my complete sympathy and understanding. I, too, enjoyed a 6mm kidney stone this year. Mine required 2 surgeries and the stent, too. So I completly sympathize with the sensation of the little wire being pulled. The amusing (?) part of my case was that I had just purchased a pearl necklace (be nice!!) for my wife and seeing that FIVE millimeter boulder in front of me was a constant reminder of what was yet to pass. Doctor said without surgery, urine for a world of pain. He said he learned the procedure on a Dic Doc video.
So glad you are feeling so much better. Your description of the procedure made me laugh out loud. Thank you, I needed that today. Take care, looking forward to the next video. 😁
I'm just happy you're okay. It's always nice to see you two and have a visit. You're two of my favourite people and Otis is nearly a people too. Love ya. Stay safe and healthy. Big hugs.
So pleased you're better and man, what an experience. The only thing I'd prescribe is lots of love and cuddles from Shaun and Otis but I can see from social media that you're already working on that one! I hope too with all the worry and stress of the last weeks that you BOTH take the time to rest and do self-care - and I mean mentally as well as physically. The worry will have taken it out of you. xx
What a star you are for sharing this, even the personal bits. Having never missed a single Vlog since the building of Silver Fox it's great to see you on the mend now. Rest assured, we'll be tuning in on Friday as usual. Love to you both, Dave and Sophie xx
It's good to see you Colin, and you too Shawn, glad everything has resolved. I really like the way you stood up for the NHS and expressed your support for the personnel who treated you. Chuck
So glad you’re on the mend. I suffered a catheter for two weeks after my prostatectomy, and I could barely walk for the irritation. I cannot imagine how horrible cheese wire would have been. 🥵. Huzzah for the NHS!
You won't get too wet Colin, you are wearing super dry. Bless you Colin, glad the stone got vaporised. Yes drink plenty. They do say lemon water every morning is good. I was a nurse in urology for many years, so know what discomfort you've been through. Fingers crossed no more boulders appear. 🙃🧐
Glad to have you back and your kidneys are recovered. Having had the same procedure, with similar reaction to the stent, you have my wholehearted sympathy.
Sorry to hear about your medical problems. It’s amazing what the doctors can do. I trust this will end your current condition. I’ve been going through medical problems myself and the pain can be overwhelming. As they say “one day at a time”.
One of my sayings is “Always maintain your sense of humor.” You two do that exceptionally well. Thanks for the update, yes, add me to the list of those who worry.
Oh you poor sweetie pies, and I say both of you, because when one in a couple is hurting the other one hurts right along too. Praise the Lord and happy dance that you have gotten relief. We hope and pray all goes well from now on. Looking forward to your new adventures, Gloria 🐂
So good to see you both again and to hear that your ordeal is now over Colin. It must have been a worrying time for Shaun and Otis . . . and an agonising time for Colin; but onwards and upwards to happier times. Take care and look after each other. xx
That disco stick ... Give "it" a 'slap' ... a 'flick' ... lol 😂!!! The telling of your tail of woe at times was so damn funny! (although at the time all of it was happening to you I'm sure it wasn't funny at all) ... Sorry you had to experience such discomfort at times but soooo glad you survived it all and your back with us for more wonderful adventures! 👍🤗💞
I used to work international sales for the USA company that made the stents, catheters and other such devices. They taught us to practice the procedures so we could answer questions for our UK counterparts. I have been cringing with you for 10 minutes. 😅
Glad you’re feeling better now. I went thru something almost exactly like this. My stone ended up tearing my Ureter at the entrance to my bladder. They had to cut me open, 6 inch scar vertically at the belt line, cut the ureter, sew closed my bladder, create a new opening and attach the new ending of the ureter. I was down for the count for quite awhile. I’m thankful for having one of the best urologists in the area. It’s been 15 years and no problems! 👍 Take care.
Oh my goodness. When you started with the wire and it being pulled out, that tubing looked massive. Just slap it made me laugh along with the descriptions of your ward mates. Happy you are back at it and hopefully no more painful episodes.
Glad your back and feeling better!!! I 've had those kidney stones and they are no fun!! Like giving birth through your you know what!!!! Looking forward to your next vlog!!
Absolutely enjoyed the tale of your "floppy and the fishing line". I was rolling on the floor. Why? Because I can call that card and raise you. 🤣 Try having it crushed … it's a long story.
Hi Colin & Shaun...I 100% agree the doctors, nurses and all staff working for the NHS are absolutely wonderful/fabulous. I am still recovering from my spine operation and I can't fault the care I am getting. Great that Colin's kidney stone removal been a success and back to full fitness..👍
you 2 are so fun and comical you brighten my day watching your videos it would be so much fun to have friends just like you 2 it would never a dull day never change who you are. hope your now starting to feel better after your operation wishing you both all the very best in life.
I did wonder if you were having trouble with your kidney stone. I was very worried about you. So glad you are now OK. Agree whole heartedly with you about the NHS staff. Thanks so much for coming on and updating us. Love and hugs to you both❤❤💚🧡💙💛💜💖❣❣💕💗
I too hope things are getting back to normal for you Colin. You described everything quite nicely...with out being "rude." And now that you know what's going on in your kidney...happy water drinking 😊 You, Shaun, Otis, chickens, bees (and anything/anyone I've forgotten) have a good week, ❤to all from Yaya in Florida
Hi guys so pleased that you are on the mend, do not do other forms of social media so was grateful for the update. The vlog itself was very much Ooooo Matron but enjoyed it. Three cheers for the NHS as you said very much underated, I said as much to a paramedic once, they give so much of themselves to help others and their wage should reflect that. Take care guys Chris from Kent
I am so glad you are ok. And it was perfectly ok with me that you missed some vlogs to take care of yourself! I look forward to seeing what you guys come up with next.
So nice to see you both my goodness you have been through a lot so glad that you got it sorted out in the end glad to hear that you are on the mend now just take it easy can’t wait to see the future vlogs stay safe and healthy
hi Colin great to hear you are better,I had a tube up the disco stick for15 months and that feeling when they take it out , you just brought it all back.
Now I have a vision of you slapping your disco stick firmly (pun intended) implanted in my brain. So so sorry you two endured all that and glad to see you back to your jolly selves
Every time you two go quite its usually something major like the deaths of Dillon, Shaun's dad, Covid and you wonder why we worry about you. I don't even know you and I worry!

Happy to see you back up Colin. Have a good week and stay healthy.

Glad you are back and well, Colin and Hi Shaun, you sure do have to be strong to support Colin with the health issues of late. Take car, boys.
I’m an ex-urology theatre nurse and can very much relate to your situation. My wife has had about 4 sessions of lasertripsy and she is extremely sensitive to stents….no fun at all. Glad your disco stick has recovered.
