I love the Rosa colours, though I use tubes. I have just received a few today. They are very affordable. I love the caput mortuum, also the maroon brown and the English red. I don’t know how I’d use them yet, but I enjoyed swatching them 😅
I love the Rosa Gallery paints. They're quite intense and I've found that often a single swipe of the brush gives plenty of pigment to work with. Their green in the palettes is a fugitive color, so I've replaced it in my palette with an alternate color. Other than that, I've thoroughly enjoyed painting with them. For the price they're very hard to beat.
I discovered Rósa Gallery paints from Ukraine last year. They rewet VERY easily. Very affordable. Strong colours. Compared with other paints you need far less paint. If used to other brands, it’s really easy to grab too much paint. The Golden Yellow is more yellow if you use way less paint and more water. Calytrix Mortuum can be quite subtle too. Overloading the brush they look more like gouache.
It has come to me that some artists can make any colors look good. You know how to lay it down with the right amount of water. Kudos! Not all swatching you tubers can do that.
I e heard people say that Color gets all the credit but Value does all the work. I’m learning how true this is especially seeing landscape painters because their use of tone and atmosphere is what makes the finished art look so good. Almost doesn’t matter the colors you use. :)
❤ favorite watercolor paints. Proud of the quality and rare pigments, that they use. In the end of 2023 they launched new 10 colors, that are very nice. Most of them are monopigmented, and I already have the review on them
Thank you for another lovely video! So nice and calming to watch after a hectic day and as always very informative too! I really like the Rosa Gallery watercolours. Affordable and also great quality. When I found out about them over a year ago I splurged and bought almost all-I have noticed though that they have, as everything, gone up in prize rather a lot but they are still among the cheapest of the quality watercolours one can buy. . My suggestion for colours you might like to try are: Green-a lovely true green Turquoise Jade green-granulates and colour separation Bright Red Maroon Brown-a mix of PBr25 and PV23 Black Grape Cobalt Grey Quinacridone Gold Golden Brown-also graulating and pigment separation
I am awaiting for Rosa Galllery next 10 colours which are coming out in February. I really love these colors. I hope you do too. Happy New Year full of creativity.
These are absolutely amazing. Love these colours. It was my very first professional water watercolours which made me fall in love with watercolour painting so they very dear to me. Aren't they absolutely amazing to use, easy to wet, highly pigmented, very affordable and most colours are light fast after having used it for over 2 years now. You have chosen wonderful colours in your pallette. Thanks for sharing
I am really impressed by them and it's always so exciting to discover new wonderful colors! Thank you so much for watching and your lovely comment! ❤️🥰
Lovely swatching. I have some Rosa Gallery also, some of my favourites which you haven’t got are aureoline green, cobalt gray, quinacridone gold and golden brown.
great review, love your color selection! I agree that rosa's cobalts are a bit weak, but I still use them occasionally. Instead of carmine I prefer to use madder rose, bc it's less fugitive, but it's not as deep as carmine, it's really nice to have both. I hope you'll enjoy peinting with these!
Always enjoy your videos. I love the Rosa Gallery paints. They're my first professional watercolors (unless you count Kuretake Gansai Tambi). I have 4 sets and ordered other colors so I almost have all of them. I think they're beautiful and great quality.
I have been wanting to try Rosa Gallery paints, so happy I stumbled onto your video! They look just so vibrant and creamy…I do want to try them out. Thank you for this great video…Gail
Thank you for your review, what a lovely and smooth swatches! Also if you are interested in granulating colors, I would recommend you to wait for their new "carbon red" to go on sale. Absolutely magical, especially if you add drops of alcohol to it. And a special thanks for your words at the end of the video, they gave me some hope. You have a little Ukrainian heart here ❤
There’s an art store in Fredericton, New Brunswick that carries them. Very reasonably priced and I think they also carry the tubes. You can order from them online they will ship by Canada Post. I can vouch for the store. It’s been open for nearly twenty years and it’s run by a couple of lovely gentleman. The shop is called Endeavours.
@@francineh.7825 I looked on their website and the pans are $3.99 and 10ml tubes are $5.99. Shipping is free if your order exceeds $125. If you live somewhere that has limited access to good quality art supplies, it might be worth it to order that much. They have a wide variety of high quality brands. It’s the art store nearest me, still over 100km away, so I make a fun trip a couple of times a year to go shopping.
I was curious about Rosa Gallery so I bought their 12 color classic palette. When it arrived I started playing with the colors and I was really impressed. So I immediately ordered their 21 color classic palette to get some other colors I was interested in. It should be delivered tomorrow. I’m really enjoying the 12 color palette. My only issue is with the umber. It doesn’t seem to have much variation from mass tone to a heavy dilution. Even diluted the umber just doesn’t seem to have the variation in depth the other colors have. Maybe it’s the paper? Other than needing to experiment with the umber a bit more, I think the Rosa Gallery watercolors are a really good quality watercolor. I paid $26 USD for the 12 color palette on Amazon. So I don’t think you can get a better watercolor set for the price.
@@tereyaglikedi I believe you’re right from what I’ve experienced so far. I need to experiment with it more. If it needs to be mixed with other colors then I can generally live with that. Otherwise, I might order W-N umber or Holbein umber in a tube and just fill a pan with it and avoid reordering the Rosa Gallery umber altogether.
Happy New Year! I have a few pans of Rosa Gallery paint I really like them. They are very reasonably priced and I like supporting a Ukranian brand. I love your wonky circles. Like you, they are most endearing ❤
I love the chromium oxide and Naples yellow, golden yellow and the indigo. The chromium oxide gives me the nostalgic images of woodlands and mischievous elves . 🌲
beeeeaautiful colors and such a calming vid. Thank you. I think you and your community could profit more from swatches with a gradient wash. You can see much more dimension and the options you can get than with the circle ones. Nevertheless I love your vid
I just swatched out my new Rosa paints earlier this week. I love their colors and creaminess, but they do tend to be a little on opaque side; I prefer more of a transparent watercolor. Overall I love them, great value for the money and if you lean toward a vintage palette I recommend them. I really dislike purchasing these expensive hand maid watercolors that you have to dig deep to find any color whatsoever, but not like that with Rosa. A small amount produces great color.
Rosa has its own formula. They are more transparent and easier to pick up from pans then WNs. Rosa's reds are more intense (magenta, quin. pink). ~10-15% of Rosa's paints have another pigments then WNs.
Wishing you all the best for 2024. I see what Sglinert says... I like the colours, but they don't really do it for me. (Caput mortum❤) I like Roman Szmall better. They are more alive... But 2024 will be my DDL year😂

Which do you think are staining?
Just a heads up. Pbk7 is pbk11... If it grandulates. They have it miss labeled and have not fixed it.
Oh, thank you for letting us know!
Could you please tell me the name of the other range of paints that you showed when comparing the granulation of the blues? Thank you.
