Still it was so damn cold many people did not go to sleep because did not wanted to be more colder... We used to do this at a buddy's house, He worked construction and would build out the entire house, with extra A/C, and wall to wall desks in every room. Then built a gazebo in the yard with TVs to watch other people play while having a beer, and cigars. It was configured as a tournament with a couple of different games, usually CounterStrike and something battlefield like. And we would pack 32 people in with all of our rigs and just play the whole weekend away. Definitely an event to not miss when it was happening.
    We brought in Port-a-Potties for this event as well. And the last year that I went, they installed full outdoor covered toilets, with running water and plumbing into the city system, because the porta-johns always smelled so bad. It was awesome.

At the time we had something like P2 233 dells and the task was to wipe the drive, reinstall windows 98, get all the drivers installed manually, and then we could mess around on the internet or play lan games with classmates.
      It cleaned up the classroom computers and got them back to stock from all the lessons, and we got to have fun and help each other.

    At 1:00 exactly, I LOVE Yvonne's look of "Say what now" and then transitions into "You do know I know where you sleep right, Oh and control all the money, do you want to be put on an allowance?" Look HAHAHA I adore Yvonne, I wish she did more camera time as her videos are so chalk full of RAW emotions, but she keeps it so light and playful, like the drawing machine thing, (Sorry forget what its called but I think it was one of the last videos I think she has hosted herself.) Also love when they are doing the WAN Show and Linus says hi to her, then she asks if they will be done on time and he says it will be the normal time, or something like that and she is like "Ok I'm taking the van home so someone has to drive you home, and I'm not waiting on dinner, then she leaves. I loved that WAN ep it was great.
    Thank you for all the years of great content, you have honestly been a great way to catch up on what the newest tech is doing and how its preforming so I can help my customers make a more informed choice for PC parts, and all main consumer level computer tech that I might not have had time to try personally or can afford to try in a number of cases but you are able to and provide excellent reviews and reports on it.
    I am also very glad that after everything you all went through that you have come back stronger then ever and I love that as I would have hatted to see the LTT and Family of companies not keep going and being there to stand up for the changes in many industries (your issue with your house switches and the firmware issue being a perfect example) and while I agree it would be nice if you didn't have to call these people to task, but if it were not for people and groups as a whole such as you and the LTT group to stand up and say NO! this is wrong, we would never get better service, just like the customer service secret shopper that you do every year or 2, those companies know when you do review them that they need to get better as you bring them to task, and in a world that is so connected not just with information's but products production forign companies would just not care and many times don't until someone hits them in the wallet and not just a lawsuit that they can write off but a customer base reduction that will hurt them for a long time, this is how change happens and I am so glad you as a whole do that very needed task. I have always had faith in you and your companies and while I didn't agree at all on the fallout from that unfortunate statement at LTX as top me it was not a lie, just very unfortunate timing, but i think that in the end it has let happen some very positive changes which I am very glad for. Keep up the awesome work and Thank you again for the ongoing education and entertainment.
    Sorry for any misspells having to type this fast while at work between customers :)
    💜Love you both 💜and all of the LTT+ Family especially to 💜Dan Love ya man💜 and as I told you a couple months back on the WAN show we NEED more Dan on camera time 💜

    My favorite part about LTT is that EVERYONE, every single quiet, reclusive, don’t touch me if you aren’t sterile!, homebody IT employee is talent. And they all look like the IT employees at my work who live in the closet next to the server room. We don’t care if you wore your pajamas to work today, didn’t do your hair or makeup. You’re going to be in a UA-cam video. And I think that’s beautiful ❤

      for now I've brought an old laptop with like windows 8 still on it because artemis really doesn't need much and the touchscreen on it is nice, but I'm actually thinking about buying a new mid to low tier laptop just for that occasion next year :D (also maybe getting some mileage as a netflix machine out of it, so screen ought to be acceptable)

    At 200amp 240v, I assume that means as long as most of his power draw is 120v and evenly distributed between the phases, it means he actually has closer to 400amp able run simultaneously since each rail would have its own 200amp breaker.

    • @5ifty7even57

      @@5ifty7even57 You would have issues in UK too with 100 computer running, also if you're house's electrical installation is old, it may even catch fire drawing that much amps on old cables.

    • @leafan101
      @leafan101 11 місяців тому +7

      @@5ifty7even57 In the US and Canada the 240v is split into two out-of-phase lines going into residential, each at 120v and when combined give 240v. This provides a bit of added safety with the downside of higher cost for wires. In general, you would rarely have a situation where you ran out of capacity, since even an electric water heater, electric heating and cooling, electric car chargers, electric kitchen appliances plus all the other household stuff still generally comes in well under 200a. However, 80 people all gaming might conceivably start to push it, but probably wouldn't since 200amps split into two phases actually means a combined 400amps if you only run 120v loads on it, which is what gaming PCs are. So they really weren't all that close to the limit unless they were also running a bunch of 240v stuff like AC and ovens etc.
