because the opening of the bottle is a different circumference than the bottle itself--how do you adjust the rotary to do 2 sided ?

i know it is personal preference, but what side does everyone prefer to engrave on? I'm not sure looking at the logo when i drink is better, or having it completely opposite for others to view as I drink. I know i may be overthinking this- and realize it is preference- but I haven't talked to clients yet and want to have some feedback from those that have some customer feedback on preferences if possible! TIA

What brand and model of laser engraver do you use?

We use Epilog and Trotec lasers.

When setting up the job and putting it in the rotary, from the top of the bottle to the bottom of the focus adapter, how much room do you need. I had purchased the 30 oz Polars and I cannot laser them in the rotary because I do not have enough room to lower my bed to get them in focus. Thanks for your help.

If you laser is not deep enough to accommodate a 2" lens plus the diameter of the bottle then you could run into that issue. Call our fabrication dept for more info - 855-537-2228.

I have a 30W fiber laser and I am burning several cups. Any advice on settings for Speed, Power, and Frequency?

We can't help you there. We do not use fiber lasers. Check with some of the Facebook groups.

Do you shrink the file because of the taper to the water bottle or is it not necessary because it is fairly slight?

Yes just slightly, not really because of the taper but because of the roundness. If not shrunk in a little then circles will come out more like an oval.

Laser Raster settings for Powder Coated Mugs:
- 35 watt DPI 600 Speed 45% Power 100%
- 60 watt DPI 600 Speed 80% Power 100%
- 120 watt DPI 600 Speed 60% Power 55%
- 80 watt - Trotec brand laser - PPI 600 Speed 45% Power 100%
