You are an excellent teacher. I wouldn’t be surprised if that was one of your previous experiences. 😊 Just wanted to show my appreciation for your hard work and talent, along with your calm teaching skills. Thanks very much.
I stumbled across your channel last nite, and have already found my way back here 4 - 5 times while working with my Atomstack x7 diode laser in the last 24 hrs! great work! my wife and i are getting into 3d printing, laser engraving, sublimation, as well as vinyl crafts and enjoy being able to MAKE ALL THE THINGS! Keep making videos!
Thank you so much! I have exact same setup, and have resisted doing handled cups because of this exact thing. Looks like I will be ordering up some tumblers with handles now!
I'm newish to your channel but love your content. Just wondering what the numbering on the 6x6 jig is used for. Would you have another video on that feature?
thank you for the comments, I was going to use for alignment ona 45 degree angle but determined that if you turn the tumbler over so the top is facing down there is no need for these numbers on the jig. thanks for watching!
Ah I was wondering when someone was going to notice that. Lol I’m working on another function for this simple jig. It has to do will marking tumblers that have only one logo but you need to place artwork above the tumbler logo and the other side that does not have a logo. Stay Tuned!
I have tried everything in this video without any success at all. I use an omtech 60w 2028 machine and have tried with a chuck and 4 wheel rotary with nothing but head crashes. I appreciate your video nonetheless
Great question , it should go on either the left or right and side. Always ask your customer which hand will the mug be used and then place the graphic so it can be seen facing outward. Don’t assume on this issue!
Thanks for the awesome tutorial. I was curious where to purchase the mug spacer. I have a rotoboss rotary for my Thunder nova 35/80. It looks slightly different than yours and I don’t have that piece to it. I keep googling where to find it but nothing pops up.
Robert, Great video, but I have one question. You are using the same logo. I want one logo on one side, and a different one on the other side. Which logo goes where and on which side of the handle?
it wouldn’t matter divide you vertical rectangle in to two equal parts and drop the different graphics in the middle of each rectangle. works great. don’t make the graphic too big or you can have a handle conflict
Why not take the template one step farther. On your back plate instead of 1 line mark lines at every inch in an x type so 2 to 2 2.5 to 2.5 and so on with small indent on your left and right top piece from the outside edege to the 2 inch mark this will help allow to use the same jig to find center for left and right sided logos as well. i have a jig for 3 inch and anouther for 4 and 5 make sure u use solid line then dashed and so on to tell them apart. hope this makes sence. Never failed me yet and saved me hours of marking center.

yes teaching has been a passion for a very long time. I appreciate your comments!

@@computercreationz I was trying to figure out how to align it with the logo yesterday... I failed. haha I'm assuming you have figured this out?

thank you, I’m sorry to hear that!.
another great video
thank you
did you buy that rotary from thunder laser and does it work on any laser
I did buy it from Thunder but Rotoboss makes them and you can purchase the same rotary (different color) for different lasers direct from Rotoboss.
Love your videos as always!!!!
When doing a single logo on a tumbler with a handles where do you place it ??
Thanks

Thank you!! That’s what I thought. ❤
Great video. Couldn't help but to notice your mug seems to walk a bit left and right as it rotates. I have the same issue. Any thoughts?
ya it does on the preview cause of the speed, but during the engrave haven’t had much of an issue. thanks for watching and the comments
your videos area great...do you sell the pattern for the cup handle center jig that you showed?
Hi Lori, unfortunately I don’t, made this on up for the video, I paareciate the comments and you watching

It should have come with your rotary. Reach out to Rotoboss rotary attachments.commtomsee ifmthey can get you one.
Ok, thank you so much!

To get the steps for rotation, you set the design the same way, have to change to middle? (13:40 on video to correct handle turning)
Determining the steps should be done with a tumbler that doesn’t have a handle
Can you engrave ceramic coffee mugs?
Ones that are specifically designed for laser use yes.
hi do you have a file on the jig you use for the cup handle scenario
hi thanks for watching I don’t sell files but very easy to make this was 6”x6” with a 1” tool L and a diagonal line from corner to corner

@@computercreationz be happy to share one if you would like
DO you have the file for the jig you made?
the files I make aren’t currently available.
