A lot of us are looking for genuine people, long lasting relationships, not just a score at the club, cause that’s easy, but making it last with someone you truly have a connection with is the hard part cause everyone is either so closed off and superficial and just a shell of a human looking of validation.

Nothing to crazy he said he likes her pics n said have a nice day. When he left I looked to her ready to see if she’d bask in the “fame” or be embarrassed but infact she was actually shaken up. She said she never thought of the likes as real people and was quite scared. Deleted her IG same day.
This was over 5 years ago so I don’t think women today would be so freaked out, but was 100% an eye-opener for me, and since then I've never saw likes, as anything else other than a measure of popularity online.

  • @jamesrussell2936
    @jamesrussell2936 4 роки тому +34

My list of blame before I watch the vid:
    1) Men: they need to stop giving women too much attention. Some attention is okay, but no too much.
    2) Other women: they need to stop being so overly concerned with how they look and stop being such simps for pretty girls. If you look at any female instagram post you'll find that most of the likes are actually from other women. Women borderline worship beautiful women.
    3) The "self-esteem movement": In most societies of times past, like the Mayan one for example, humility and gratefulness was something that was taught. But now, esp in America, the self-esteem movement has gone way too far and created people who haven't practiced humility in any form and therefore don't know what it looks like or how it's better.
    4) Parents: This goes along with point 3. Also, parents, for whatever reason, simply allow their children to do just about anything they want and have just about any attitude they want without consequence.
    5) Society in general: Society in general tolerates bad behavior from women. It also gives women (esp attractive ones) free "stuff", like attention, admiration, and material things, without getting anything in return.
    5) The individual woman: In the end, each person is responsible for themselves. While they should be given a measure of consideration, a person doesn't really need to be told that showing off their body everyday on the internet is at least a little conceited.
The fact is that the world is really messed up these days. Not in America or in regards to women, but in every way. Societies in the past, while messed up in their own right, generally had better average, day-to-day, person-to-person interactions. The neighborhood had trust in each other. Even back in the 50's it wasn't anything for a little girl to go visit the old man next door. They were taught respect for everyone. Also, they were taught, and forced, to honor their word. Humility was considered a good thing and taught by parents to their children.
I understand that many believe that things have always been this way. While that's true to an extent, I assure you that in most societies of the last 6000 years had more of a measure of morals than societies all over the world do today. It's simply that people have gotten used to how things are and things have changed so gradually that people don't see it unless they study, in-depth, how societies of the past acted and believed.

Great conversation piece Alexander. It frustrates me that society doesn’t create the ability to have such discussions without it leading to absolute male crucifixion. The status quo with such topics is that female competition is purely a product of the patriarchy, and if that’s not the first reason that is drawn, it will usually be the concluding one. There’s no deeper thought or analysis placed beyond the standard societal narrative with these things, and to do so, even with intelligence and maturity, means to be met with immediate criticism and, if applicable, de-platforming. The ability to reason and question things is so human, natural, and most importantly - necessary to human intellect and maturity, yet, we are highly discouraged from doing such things and indirectly taught to just accept what we are taught as truth...
What dangerous times we live in.

They won't try to compete with models and rich dudes... But whamen on the other hand get so much validation based on their ability to have one night stands and look good that they don't actually have to improve to a point saying im worthy.... In their mind they are worthy and they will always be because they were validated for that and for this i blame men.... Hold whamen accountable... Something girls should think about before posting a bunch of sexy shots. Also, even shots where you just look pretty and not even necessarily provacative.
      ~
I would also wager the fellow was bellow what she considered attractive. That automatically gives them the creep vibe. If the guy was her version of highly attractive, he could have straight up hit on her and she would probably have gotten the giggles.
I'm sure plenty of girls don't consider what's actually going on with all their posted pics/vids. If you have enough followers, guaranteed you have dudes all the way down the ugly scale, legitimate creepers and pervs of all types, pulling their pud to your pics and vids. They wil be screen-shotting and saving your vids to folders full of wank material. You are putting those images out there into the ether, for all time. Big fallacy - Tribal Society WAS NOT Free Competition (Laissez Faire)
The idea that a person was free to choose whatever mate they wanted is actually very very "new" in human history.
In tribal societies, there were other influences besides only "what an individual wanted". Often the parents, extended family, and even in some cases the whole tribe was involved in forming couples.
Very often selection of mates was related to the preservation of a familial line, ensuring peace, and other social issues were much more important than "free choice" of the people involved.
Instincts might explain the Instagram phenomenon, but the social situation of the current (Western) society is truly something unique in human history.

I think the timeline here is the problem. 2 thousand years ago societies like the mother and father of Jesus had an arranged marriage (well, still today in some parts of India for exemple). So it's true that this is old and stuff worked like this for the most cultures. But I think when he says stuff like this free competition about men and women he is saying something like 10 thousand years ago or more, where people didn't have this notion about marriage and starting a new life somewhere else.

I am no biologist but thinking they share 99% of our DNA and some of their habits and """culture""" are like ours when we were primitive, it makes me think.
Maybe when our primitive humans thought about organizing society with hierarchies, arranged marriages (that possible weren't even called marriages) was this kind of using intelligence to manage relationships to eliminate violent conflicts.

My point was I don't see such a society existing. Which would mean the situations described in the video never happened.
(By the way, we do share a large percentage of our DNA with other Primates, but ironically we also share a lot albeit less with mice and... and pigs if my memory serves correctly. However, it seems that primates are closest to modeling our social behavior.)

You make a great point about how social media effects our perception of quality and desired goals. As a photography hobbyist, I post images online pretty regularly. Some of them are more popular than others, but there has always been this sense that sometimes the most popular images aren't even necessarily the best, and that I shouldn't put too much weight on the like total, but rather consider where those likes came from, and whether or not they translated to anything meaningful (selling a photographic print, for example). I might post an image of a sunset and get far more likes than something I spent crafting from deeper in my soul, if that makes any sense. I never really thought much about this in terms of how social media operates as a whole but it's definitely the most fitting comparison, since social media is so visually/image driven these days.

And since FB creators played on human nature with dopamine hits to get and keep attention, many others have since followed, quite successfully too. As these FB creators said, attention is the new currency. So these apps and games and all take our primal elements and exacerbate them for gains. These teen girls grow up in this.

Women have changed so much in the last 25 years it is incredible. I doubt you could find one that can cook a steak in the kitchen or make biscuits from scratch. All they want to do is eat out and take photos and look at their phone.

Social media has given women more access to both high value men and tons of simps worldwide, making it hard for them to be with one guy because of how much attention they can get. They can easily DM that high value man they desire and possibly get a reply, and they have all their simps to fall back on if that doesn't work.

I’ve been thinking the same, despite its inhumanity and superstitions. Quite simply, it’s highly authoritarian, which means dominance. Women are even allowed to be beaten, says the scripture. Basically, the women can’t grow entitled, greedy and selfish because the ideology demands too much of their energy in obedience, especially at a mental level. Don’t get me started on the fear of punishment. However, even though it gets toxic feminity under control through domineering means, its highly illiberal political design (and I mean classical liberalism, not the modern iteration) utterly dwarfs the dating and relationship problems in west. We can solve these dating problems in theory, and with enough coordination and effort, also in practice.

I do agree with your views; however, I've witnessed women posting photos on social media only for that top guy to notice. In the end, it was funny how they would get pissed off when only the low value men would like these photos instead.

You definitely couldn’t say this to a woman in this day in age because girls are on these platforms posting ass cracks and skin etc etc and in the caption it’s “self love”
    “My body my rules”
And there always seems to be some hippie caption that doesn’t really mean anything.
