@Scott Geoffrey you most likely go nose blind to it. Ask others around you if they smell it. I've gotten compliments after full 8 hour work days.

@@jodee8831 I’ve never once smelled Aventus in public. Mostly only fragrance enthusiasts know about it/are willing to pay retail for it, so yea, you will still smell “unique” compared to most people around you.
Yeah they say aventus is so popular but I've never smelled it on anyone or new anything about it until a few months ago.

@@jodee8831the majority of people can’t even afford aventus so nobody I knows wear it. The only reason it seems like everybody wears it is because it’s the most popular among frag head. That being said, frag heads are a very small percentage of the population so really nobody wears it in real life because it’s too expensive.

I have been sampling Elysium. Previously I have only worn designers. I find this extremely pleasant.
I have also sampled it side by side with Mont Blanc Explorer. To me they are quick similar. If anything, Elysium has made me enjoy Explorer more.
Just received a 10ml decant and I was blown away, what a beautiful well blended fragrance..
First spray impression it smelled very similar to Nautica Voyage. Then all of a sudden, it transforms into this luxurious scent and all the richness and complexity comes forward. Very nice fragrance for Spring/Summer.
Was on the hunt for a summer scent and tried it at Saks: Its definitely bright, sparkly, and a touch feminine - I went for Sedley instead gives a more manly scent which i like better
This juice is class. I own and love it, can't wait to wear it when the weather heats up!

I purchased a 2ml decant of this not expecting too much but I was wrong. I really like this and find no similarities with Aventus (which I love as well)! I ended up purchasing a 30ml decant. Great overall signature scent!! ❤

I've been trying to figure out what Elysium smell reminds me of and I finally figured it out... It smells like a sporting goods store.... Cleaning supply, some form of pine or eucalyptus air freshener, rubber, and new leather sneakers... Walk into a sporting goods store and see what I mean
I liked it so much that I switched it from elysium cologne to extrait version. High price , but as long I’m happy with quality and silage then it’s worth every penny. Work hard, play hard!!!! ✌🏽
I just purchased this fragrance today, dior sauvage edp yesterday and TF ombre leather on monday. I think I have a problem.

Harz77 funny you ask. Im actually returning elysium as soon as neiman marcus opens up in my city. The performance is terrible. Tf ombre leather is amazing. Women love it 😛

Harz77, wear bleu de chanel (a classic) or lau d"issey by issey miyake (this one is fresh, but has spicy and woodsy tones, but they are not strong, just right 👌

Hey enjoyed your video. So I subscribed to scentbird about a year ago and my first colonge pick was a blind one.... It was Roja Dove Elysium. Wow this colonge caused me to open my mind and nostrils to the fragrance world. I would never purchase a colonge for over $200 but I purchased a 10 ml of Elysium due to the fact that it was the best smelling fragrance that I've ever smelt. Again thank you for your input and all videos.
The vetiver I’m the dry down smells incredible. If that smell projected more, I would be all over this stuff. I don’t get the comparison to Aventus personally. This is more like a high quality take on “blue” fragrances like Bleu de Chanel, Sauvage or Dylan Blue.
I have a decant from Scentbird. It will take a few wearings before I decide if it’s full bottle worthy. I’m leaning towards no since I feel The Scent of Peace for Him does this same thing, but better and for less money. They don’t smell the same, but they have the same vibe and I’d wear them for the same occasions. (I don’t get the comparison of that one with Aventus either.)
U could probably grab the Molecule 03 and layer it. That molecule 03 is the Vetiver molecule
6 years later and I’m sitting here waiting on my 3rd bottle. This stuff is an absolute compliment monster for me since day one.
I tried the Parfum version and this one just last Saturday and I have to say,save your money and go for this Cologne version because there is not much of a difference,scent wise,among the two. Only a true frag connoisseur will nitpick whatever difference they have. Your everyday joe will not even know it. This is the kind of Roja Dove release that I’ve been waiting for...something that I can wear everyday.
I sampled the Parfum version also (from Alan) and have to agree with you. Cologne Parfum version all the way.
I'm exited there is a 10 ml travel size in this years Harrods fragrance advent calendar.

Love that bottle...wish the corners were a little more rounded but what can you do. I also get that sparkling quality that you were talking about throughout the frag. Probably won't ever own it due to the price, but at least I got to wear it once on my wrist haha. I guess now that makes me a citizen...so where's my damn med-bay like in the movie?

I get a lot of smokiness on my skin in the dry down like aventus but does not smell like aventus witch was my favorite until I smelled the roja

Great video I love this fragrance as well. I do not get the Aventus similarity either, I think is more similar to Mancera Cedrat Boise.

Make sense people are not going to pay top dollar. But you get what you paid for. I’ve been collecting high end fragrances since 2012. I never look back on synthetic colognes.
Can't comment on Beverly Hills Perfumery but Thomas at the Roja counter at Bergdorf Goodman was the best experience I ever had buying a bottle. Prior to that it was a guy at the Killian counter in Saks but Thomas blew him away in terms of just how much he knew about fragrances in general.
Anyway I ended up buying a bottle of Enigma that time but I got a travel size of Elysium and honestly I do get the comparisons to Aventus. When they sprayed it that was the first thing I thought. Is it different if you have the two side by side? Yes. But is it different enough to justify having both unless you are a collector? Probably not and I would rather have Aventus if I had to choose just one.
That's fair enough. Enigma is the first Roja I ever bought so I don't disagree with that purchase one bit.
Honest review, i agree with everything you said. I know it smells like designer but it’s my fav Roja. And considering other Roja’s prices 1000....2000 this seems very cheap for 100ml LOL

Yeah, making it not quite as expensive for the 100ml makes it more appealing in general.

I’m a fan Roja in general. This one lacks the lush density of the rest of the line. I can’t think of a fragrance I own that has worse performance. Weak out of the bottle and gone within an hour or two. I tried the higher concentration. That one has better depth but no projection. The fragrance overall does smell very good and garners compliments if smelled soon after application.
Mannnnnnnn that BLUE bottle lasted 36 HOURS on me, UNBELIEVABLE cologne....

It’s a nice fresh scent but that’s all. I tried Parfum version of Elysium, all I can say Aventus is much better. I am a fan of Roja Parfums but this one is very generic and synthetic to my nose.

Aventus is not even close i can tell you that 1 year after. Elysium is a scent everyone likes Aventus has that smokyness that can be a problem especially for women. I own both bottles and Elysium is more well rounded.

I sold my dua. Its similar in a way but very synthetic and for me not enjoyable. Elysium is just beautifully complex and unique for a blue frag. I will get the Parfum version when my cologne turns low.

Speaking of similarities to Aventus, was just at Express and they have a new line of men’s fragrances. They’re named #1, #2, and #3, and the #3 is their take on Aventus. It’s actually not that bad, but it’s sweeter and stays much more linear and doesn’t get as woody or smoky in the dry down. And, of course, it smells a bit synthetic and performance is average at best.
I'll need to check those out!

Its smell natural or synthetic?
natural, the birch in the late drydown has hints of aventus but still citrusy. The extrait is best though as you get a sweet vetiver vibe with the birch so it smells more pleasant than aventus. However, this aside, 2 completely different scents to this point. Has a very very slight resemblance to nishane hacivat if anything, on the extrait, more so than aventus, but again very slight.
It reminds me of Parfums de Marly Galloway

Elysium pc is the worst performing niche fragrance I have ever tried
I ordered it and it's supposed to be delivered tomorrow. I'm so scared that I wasted my money on this after reading reviews like yours. I have Zion from Alexandria fragrances which is supposed to be a clone of Elysium and It smells so perfect that I wanted to try the real thing. After I purchased I'm reading more reviews saying that Zion smells even better than Elysium and it last much longer. Hopefully I can resell it if I don't like it😒😒😒😒😒
This literally smells like dry seashells collected from Florida and taken back to WI to dry out. That's literally it! Its very very light and boring. Even lighter than the everyday Bleu de chanel scent. $30 bucks for this 5ML too. What a waste!
