I feel bad for people who struggle to find their main. I played lucky Chloe in 7 because I was bad. But I liked Kazyua Mishima because Kazyua Mishima does what Kazyua Mishima does. Now I play Kazyua Mishima, because Kazyua Mishima is Kazyua Mishima.
i started with Tekken 8, im now Fujin with 500 hrs put in and always feel like i gotta unlearn to progress. Your video is so good and helped me grow again and branch out. Because at fujin, my biggest weakness is not knowing the tools of other characters. Learning them help me make my defense better on my main
Great video! I was having a bit of trouble adjusting to and choosing from other characters after maining Steve for a bit, so this really came in handy.
Im glad it helped out! the spreadsheet is absolutely wonderful, and I knew I had to share it in some form in one of my videos because of how damn informative it is! its sped up the process of learning a new character by a TON, good luck with any new characters you decide to learn, and I love your profile picture!
me knowing, i always wanted to try have mishima character as my 3rd pocket, so glad when you told about the doxy libray, speically when Heihachi is about to come out
Looking at this since there are a number of existing and new characters that seem to be powerful or important as well as characters I now know well like Alisa and Reina who I'm trying to refine to a higher level. It seems that this guide covers both my options if I put this to use better I will have a greater mastery over the roster I have. PS Reina was mentioned since she was my first obsession followed by a nerf to her and a realization that her kit was really sophisticated making her take a back seat when I figured out that Alisa was flying under the rug despite her other personality and appearance cons the latter was easily fixed.
Thank you!!! It really means a lot to hear from people that they are learning things from how I explain stuff haha. thank you for always supporting the channel! I wouldnt be here without support from people like you
Just pick that one right there over there on that one side next to the character that looks like the one from the video game tekken 8. Orrrr use wheel of names
Ngl, even as a complete beginner to Tekken, this is how i learnt to play Jun and Steve. Tbh, I think this is a model to learn anything. Start with a strategy, test, evaluate, and test again. I didn't use the tekken library, but YT instead, and practised a few moves, which i basically spammed in ranked 😂. Got my ass handed to me, so practiced execution and learnt a few more moves to cover my weaknesses, and went out to test in ranked again. Eventually, I started winning more games, but even more importantly, i started understanding my character.
@@AveryxFGC Haha, yeah. I think every human would just love to skip the being bad part, but unfortunately 99% of us have to grit through that part. Ngl tho, often times I reminisce about being a noob in a game and just being sorta having the innocence 😂.
I played, casually, Tekken when I was a little child. I liked characters like Feng, Christie Monteiro, ect.. But never really paied attention to this game. Lately I randomly came across Reina through an Ad, and I decided to finally play Tekken properly AFTER ALL THESE YEARS 😂. So here I am watching a guide, so I can probably play my main character Reina🔥. God she's soooo cool!!!
hey im glad the guide is helping out!! Reina is def super cool, and a decent bit easier than most of the other mishimas! She absolutely is one of the best beginner mishima characters, and is super good as well! if you have any questions about her or tekken in general, always feel free to leave a comment on my videos and ill be happy to help you out when I see the message!
Let’s Gooo can’t wait to see some more Howard Brang Content (that’s what my bro and I call Hwaorrang cus of how one of his character preset arts gave him a huge Jawline 😂)
that name is great LMAO. it wont be for a bit since I have a few other characters I want to get footage out for, but you absolutely will be seeing more of him in the future:)
Online can be scary for sure! I found going to the arcade lounge and scouting out players that are around your skill level is another great way to help with online anxiety!
@@AveryxFGC I also just forget everything I learn when going in an actual fight with cpus or friends and like I want a coach for Tekken but all the coaches are like pro players ;-;
@@Celestial_Ibuki I feel at this stage the best thing to do is to try and get over your fear in any way you can. I tried to also get coaching to help out my nerves, and while it helped for a couple days after, in the long run it didnt help as much as I could. It sounds like youre just getting easily flustered, and maybe playing a bunch of quick match until you feel your head is clearer could help!
Why are dou scared my Brother? Just spamm ranked any second. I give a fck about statistics I just play ranked. No warming up just straight in. Ofc I dont win everygame it even becomes frustrating but still just go in
@@AveryxFGC thanks so much. I also introduced my boyfriend to Tekken when 8 came out and we're having so much fun with it. thanks to your video i also sent him the spreadsheet for learning characters and we both found it extremely useful. thanks for your videos ✌️❤️🏳️🌈
hey! if you understand the button notations and directional notations and are still having trouble picking apart the guide, take it one section at a time and dont worry too much about combos! the "Key moves" section is the most important, and can help you with what moves you should be using in neutral!
Not gonna lie, I've always found the "gameplan" idea for Tekken to be silly. Not dissing the video or anything, but the gameplan is always the same. Hit the opponent to kill them, and defend until it's your turn again. The idea of a gameplan seems more like "what moves to use" which is fleshed out as you play the character and find the moves which are better or worse.
im a bit confused about this comment. While I understand the gameplan might be "win the game" you can simplify a gameplan to that to just about every game. When I played competitive shooters people would always joke and say the plan is to "just click on their heads", but there was obviously more to that. In the video I do go over moves of a gameplan to better understand a win condition and even state you can flesh out your knowledge of a character by adding more moves to your gameplan. each character has its own unique gameplan, and sometimes it might be harder to find what a character is "good" at. this video was more or less to introduce people to a great recourse that can help them identify what the characters strengths are, and then reviewing the gameplay was to help people get in the habit of learning from their mistakes. You are not necessarily wrong that gameplans can be super complex, the video was more about helping newer players discover which character is good at what without making an hour long video stating every characters strength/weakness haha. Thanks for the comment, and theres no hard feelings for being confused about a topic!
@@AveryxFGC I suppose my point is a bit more pedantic. I am saying "win condition" or "gameplan" don't seem to mean anything in particular. Like, I think it is essentially a straight up meaningless term in this context. What you described in detail with Hwoarang was great, but like any other character having a gameplan is like saying, "Use moves that seem good". Which is a somewhat mute point in regard to learning characters. Also, I want to reiterate again, what you explained in the Hwoarang section was superb.
@@ChristopherWaddelow That makes sense for sure, and like I said in my original comment you arent completely wrong. the video was more or less to promote the Tekken 8 library, and then talk about how I am using the information to learn a character! I appreciate the comment, and theres no hard feelings!
The idea of "gameplan" makes more sense in 2d fighters like blazblue, where you have vastly different gameplay between characters. However, it's still present in Tekken, just more subtle and mostly focussed on how you condition your opponent.
Just getting back into tekken after a few weeks past launch. This video is a lifesaver at how to get off the ground quickly!
