    So true about Tekken King and up. The margin for error is low, make one mistake and you will pay. But it is so much fun at least to me it is. I enjoy nerding out about my character and the match ups

    thats very accurate. Im blue rank, new to tekken in general started with 8. Im around 600 hours in and got so much to learn. Whats keeping me in blue rank is character knowledge and learning what is safe and unsafe for the whole cast so i can punish accordingly

    I think they have 4 ranks to gatekeep the next level since thats sort of expert Tekken. Im stuck at Kishin...massive difference between the 4 in these ranks

      Yea the skill jumps are crazy, fujin raijin is not the same as kishin Bushin. I would go so far as to say kishin is the first advanced rank. I just sweated my ass of to get to emperor and I feel like it's the last of the advanced ranks while shit gets expert lvl in God and above.

      @lorestiralongo1618 lol I think the next time I touch rank I'm getting demoted

    • @HoudiniMartin
      @HoudiniMartin Місяць тому

      I somewhat disagree. There’s a gap between going from each of the blues but the gap in skill from Tekken Emperor to blue is like Bushin to mighty ruler and I’m not exaggerating

    • @HoudiniMartin
      @HoudiniMartin Місяць тому

      So what I’m saying is the skill within the blue ranks is a lot closer than you think because once you get out of Tekken King…you should never lose to a blue again, idc if it’s Bushin or Fugin…it’s all the same

    • @lorestiralongo1618
      @lorestiralongo1618 Місяць тому

      @HoudiniMartin I think you haven't played a real fujin or raijin (not ppl on alts) in a while. Cause that is incomparable to someone on bushin. I get it, the ppl in king are starting to play "real Tekken" a lot more, and it's very different when u get to emperor and above. But the jumps are nonetheless quite noticeable in blue ranks even if there are more skill gaps in upper ranks. I swear Fujins just faceroll their controller, that shit is funny.

    I always appreciate new tekken content as a veteran so good job trying to get a decent explanation out. Unfortunately this is very inaccurate, when u try to assume what a higher rank than you have achieved does and thinks you’re probably incorrect considering you haven’t made it there yet.BUT again I appreciate the content 🫡

      Makes sense then the explanation he was giving blue ranked players.
      >Safe players who know what to do and rarely use big moves unless they're going to work.
      >They know how many characters in the roster work.
      >You need to be very careful in blue ranks because players there play very safe and risk-averse.
      This is just crazy. Most blue rankers have extremely punishable playstyles. Depends a bit on the character, though, but if you're not ducking the punishable stuff, then you might think everything's safe. You need to be more careful against blues than reds, obviously, but there is just so much cheese and gimmicks still and players have very little matchup knowledge. If you find holes in their offense, then they crumble because of bad defense, and they're bad at adapting when their plan doesn't work suddenly. They usually don't have good fundamentals, but often excellent offense that's hard to counter. If you don't know their offense, can't find a way around it, and you let them do their thing, then they will seem like much better players than they are because of how T8 rewards aggression.
      In any case, OP is thinking way too highly of blue rankers. They don't play very safe or risk-averse, and don't know how "many characters work". This doesn't mean you shouldn't be proud of reaching blue ranks, though.

    Wow 1:29 that Claudio will not stop mashing...play some defense and punish..

    • @cubiczgaming
      @cubiczgaming 2 дні тому

      As a Claudio with over 1000hrs... He was very sloppy and barely knew what the moves do. @ 1:25 he gets the combo but why finish it with a wr2 and not heatsmash then wall combo...Then contol the wall. but whatever that's the little stuff that wins you games when you get up in the blues.

    I would argue that bushin is definitely playing against different sets of skill players then Fujin and most bushin players should be able to beat a fujin players with ease at most cases.. the skill gap really start to show in blues.. I just hit tekken king and my gosh these tekken rank players definitely at another level and you start approaching higher level tekken players at bushin compare to as in fujin your still playing against purple and lower ranks blue ranks (witch there is nothing wrong with that and congratulations is you made it to fujin) but there a lot of stronger tekken players in bushin and above ☝️.. when I reach tekken king it definitely showed me another group of players that I would have never fight against back when I first approach fujin

    Hello, I have heard that playing multiple characters in rank will improve your tekken prowess which makes ranked tougher for you because matchmaking is now based on prowess. So red ranks can encounter blue ranks etc or higher. Is this true?

    • @DonDelRay
      @DonDelRay  14 днів тому

      I would say yes but it is still not clear how it is calculated. it seems that the ranks of each character and your win/loss ratio affects the prowess. As it goes for the example of red ranks fighting blue ranks, this can happen and it may be related to prowess but also who is available in the online queue and there may not be enough people at your rank (eg. red rank) or the opponent's rank (eg. blue rank) for the matchmaking system to match more accurately. This can lead to the system matching you with a blue rank or higher so you are both not waiting too long for a match.

    Good vid. But unsure if you can speak on ranks you have yet attained. Just seeing them is different than being there because of SBMM. Unless you have highrank friends with higher prowess to get the feel:)

    You lost me on red and purple rank explanation 😆, i think you're still stuck in T7 mentality, what you described is more applicable to T7 red and purple ranks, in T8 majority of players in these ranks are still brainless monkeys and headless chickens that are closer to green/yellow ranks in T7

    • @ragnarok7452
      @ragnarok7452 Місяць тому +2

      T7 reds and purples still had a lot of such kinds of players you mentioned for T8 ranks. Like Law who spams junkyard, people who can't block alley kicks and all that.
