Thanks for watching !! I like your UA-cam Handle. That's right along with what we stand for !!! Without proud Americans that stand up for what's right in this world, we would loose all our rights
Thank You for sharing your Knowledge and passing it on ! I would love to see a Crab Hoop Ring Drop Net build like those heavy duty made ones I see people using , not those cotton twine cheap Walmart ones.
We're in North Louisiana, but we do go down south from time to time. Maybe in the future some time we can make some homemade ones and go catch crabs in them. That would make a cool video for sure. Thanks for the suggestion!!
I wish you’d do a video of you setting the hoop nets out showing how you tie it to the tree or anchor, along with your weight you use on the open end of the net at the end of your rope. Great videos, reminds me of when I was young doing it with my father.
Will, I tried to be pretty descriptive in the Net fishing 101 video. Thought it would give a pretty good idea by showing them stretched out in the yard. I don't mind doing the videos however you guys request, but we won't fish hoop nets again until next spring possibly. It is good net fishing in Oct-Nov, then some good net fishing in Dec-Feb in some of our creeks if we get the rain needed at that time for current. I'll share any information you need. We are probably putting some more wire nets out in a week and plan on doing some videos on that. I'll try to be more descriptive on Tying, weights, lead and tail lines in the future, Thanks!
@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 I must have missed the 101 video, I’ll check it out. I’m sure that’ll have what I’m looking for. I’m in SE AR close to the ouachita but a lil closer to the market river and old man river where I’ve run them in the past. The wire nets you’re referring to are the round long wire nets for catfish? We used to have the wooden ones made the same way I think Thanks for the reply
Will, I can also tell you that I use a Bowline on all my knots on anchors, weights, and trees. I Tie bridle and tail end As they are both loops, using a square knot in the loop, followed by a Bolen
As long as I still have my gun and bow and fishing equipment I will never be worried about grocery shopping in a store. Gods grocery store is where I do all my shopping
No man, afraid not. You'll loose it for sure. Check out our anchors in our video. I've only ever lost one. Not sure if it was current or a thief. I'm afraid it was a thief
We're planning on doing that in the upcoming weeks. We've had several requests on cooking fish. We cook them a lot of different ways, so we will add some different recipes throughout this year. Thanks for watching!!
Back when I use to fish on into June for Flatheads we did. It helps a little, but I've found I can catch more fish than I have time to clean with no bait at all. You get the right net, put it in the right spot, you won't need it. I believe out of all our hoop net videos, none at all were baited
Mostly trial and error, but I look for drop off shelves in 10-25 ft of water, depending on total water depth. Heavy current locations in rivers act as roads for fish. They just like us, they take shortest route up stream
Those nets were not baited in either video. If we want to catch a lot of blues, we will add cheese trimmings in a bait bag in the hoop nets tied near the back end. The net fishing 101 video goes a little more into details on how we set them if you haven't watched already. Be sure to SUBSCRIBE if you haven't and hit the bell as well, cause never know what we're going to add next, thanks
@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 I still like too see the old days and old ways of putting food on the table. I love the way Louisianans do that. I'm on my 2nd video . I'm really enjoying it!!
The mouth should always be down stream in current. It's also referred to as the head of the net. You'll hear us talk about catching the headline sometimes.
We eat a lot of fish. Nothing goes to waste. We net fish a few weeks out of the year to fill our freezers. These fish feed 4-5 family's, and our river systems in North Louisiana are packed full of fish. The was we freeze our fish, they are good for 6-9 months in the freezer. The bigger fish we trim the lateral red line and side fat off of, then they provide a lot of pure white meat. Thanks for watching!!!
Nice, a lot cleaning work, make nice eatting. God bless you .
I'm use to it. Just a way of life anymore 🤣
Thanks for this channel the stuff you doing is right up my alley. Dad showed me how to tie nets long ago.
