- Adversity stares us in the eyes in this one as we try to get a hung up Hoop net it. This was a tough one, but in the end, we come home safe with a load of fish!!!

I'm glad you got your net back and you're able to patch it. I priced some of those nets the other day and they weren't cheep.
No sure there not. Nets like that are running over $200 now.
It amazes me the people who get out on that river with the current it’s got it in this time of year and not wear their life jackets. I’ve seen countless numbers of huge trees just rolling down the middle of it.

That river has claimed many lives. One just a couple weeks ago. I've had a few close calls myself on it in my younger days.
Nice catch especially with one net not fishing. I’ve been on many net runs with a hung net, but that’s by far the worst I’ve ever seen! Glad you recovered it without injury or boat damage!
I honestly thought it was a goner. I was about to tie it off and leave it. Took us over an hour to get it up, and I thought it would be demolished. Got lucky

Alright, I'm gonna let the cat out of the bag!! Fred's actually responsible for us starting our UA-cam channel! One afternoon on my way home from work I found him on the side of the road abandoned. Danielle and I were going kayak fishing that afternoon, so I called her and told her our luck was about to change, that I'd found Fred "The lucky Chartreuse Jack-o'-lantern" and Chartreuse would bring us luck that day! That afternoon Fred doubled as a tackle box/flashlight holder for the Kayak and we caught a ice chest full of nice Black Crappie. She was laughing so hard at me that I started videoing her with my phone. Every trip with Fred we started loading the kayaks so it was a rolling joke for everyone. As we started for Colorado elk hunting someone said you better take Fred, so I did. On the 5th and final day of that hunt with no elk killed I told the guys, I was packing Fred in my Backpack to change our luck. They laughed, but wasn't laughing while we packed my first Bull out. Following year, same thing. Fast fwd to Oct
2021 Danielle's first Elk hunt Opening Morning, She killed a Giant with Fred in her Backpack!!! Fred is actually in our very first promo video with the Perch we caught in Kayaks!! I'm not really superstitious, But Fred will be headed to Colorado this October!!!
Fred was with me when I got my bull elk and the 2 10 point bucks I got. Along with my La Tech tshirt 😂

Fred's a touchy subject. He's pretty good with elk, and not bad with white perch, but all that luck didn't follow net fishing 🤷 I don't know, maybe his Luck just got our net back

Y'all did a hard day's work on that one. Bubba looked a little shaky in the front of the boat when you were trying to power pull the net. Do you ever net fish lake's or do you want moving water?
I do fish lakes, saving that for next spring maybe. Got to have some new content😉🤣

Yeah, that one's fixable. We got one more river video coming and it's a good one, but we pulled them up last week. For us it's just a matter of having the freezers full and wanting to do other stuff. The break fishing is getting right and such. With the river falling out some of our favorite spots are about to get right for bass, bream, and crappie. Our sets were just starting to get right and I hated to pull them, but it was time for us. I've caught fish in nets in the river on through June before. I don't like fishing when them bugs get on the nets though. I hate those things

We're in Louisiana. We can fish Hoop nets Commercially or Recreationally. We are able to fish 5 nets under our Recreational license. I use to fish commercially, but no longer do

Whet size net mesh and hoops are those nets.
We fish 1.5in up to 3in.
2in and 2.5in are probably my favorite. Hoops range from 3ft to 4 ft, with 3.5ft being my favorite. If I had one net to choose, it would be 3.5ft 2in mesh
