They should introduce a serious economy based on the extraction and production of resources in the galaxy, not on the market, where each raw material is in infinite quantity and you just have to pay more for it.
If you go Synth ascension as a bio empire and choose to become virtual, you don't get instant pops, but the virtual trait prevents resettling. Pretty sure that's what was being referred to.
Additionally, while you are ascending as a Virtual Empire, until you have completed the entire tree pops will still be assembled (unless you turn it off) and then you can get many unemployed virtual pops who can't be moved.

During the Q&A today Eladrin Basically confirmed the team is working on Season 9, although they are not sure if they will do a season pass yet. He also sad that now they choose what they will be working on in the second half of 2026, so they're planning far ahead. They also all but confirmed they're doing a bio ships DLC in the near future
7:13 What this refers to is for biologicals who go for Synthetic Ascension, and then during the following event choose to go Virtual. The pops of these empires are still continuously created and they didn't auto-migrate (which was my only qualm with taking the Virtual path). I was so glad when I read that in the notes
Ironically, I tend to favor a missile/disruptor split, (some fleets get close and give 'em the Ds, while other fleeting throw in the missiles); so probably a wash for me
Not terribly relevant, but as much praise Machine Age get and I agree with it 90%...anyone else feel let down by non-gestalt machine empires just being organic non-gestalt empires but with robot avatars? I was hoping for something like the robot guys in Orville, like a very synthetic oriented synthetic civilization that isn't a gestalt consciousness.
Oh my frigging god. Shattered ring origin big buff Patch notes: >>> Renamed Shattered Ring "Irreparable Damage" to "Reparable Damage" as once you have researched Mega Engineering. You can now restore it via decision.

I was genuinely under the impression that the LAST DLC was done by the B-team, impressed that it was this one! Really does make me wonder what Paradox is up to, then
Hey Montu, a few more origins have been released and will be released with this newest DLC. Not to mention a couple changes for balancing in the previous origins. Maybe it's time to revisit origin explanations and rankings.
I hope they are reworking hive minds so devouring swarms to actually behave like a swarm, and not just another civ that plays the same, that can farm lands and build ships out of alloys. The only basic resource devouring swarms should manage is food (produced by either killing a planet or people), idc if you turn food into research, alloys and unity in re-skinned buildings, but right now is sad.
wait space creatures being captured can we capture the prethoreans?!? why do i feel like certain empire types ascended and civic wise need new interactions w the different crisis types
15 new relics? With how many relics we currently have I think it would be good to review their activation. Either reduce the timer, make each relic have an individual cooldown or having 2 or more separate cooldowns, because at this point, relics have the disadvantage that you only use one or 2 all game depending on the situation and the rest are forgotten. The same should be done with traditions, there are too many and you can choose the same as always, less than at launch, even.
Pretty disappointed in these patch notes, hoped they would give the genetic accession something extra for space fauna cloning or something to make it atleast up to par with the machine ascensions but it looks like machine will remain OP for a while 😔
I'm afraid that this DLC will be as buggy as the Astral Threads. That was the first and only time I've switched the game to a previous version and stayed there for a long time.
How long will this take to hit console? I am a returning player from before when admin planets were a thing now leaders cost unity and there's no way to increase the size cap of an empire. If that helps one understand me.
I wish bad cosmic storms happened later on in the game, with a chance, and the good ones happened earlier. Ruining your playthrough cus you get a bad storm spawn sucks for a whole ass DLC.
Glad to see everything in the machine age DLC is still broken. Maybe the actual dev team is working on a huge DLC to bring organics (particularly hiveminds) up to the same power levels? I think the DLC will be okay but the additional space fauna might become annoying. Most of the additions seem neat for two or three playthroughs and then it becomes repetitive, sort of like how astral planes became repetitive but I hope I'm wrong.
