I'm a M27Q-P owner, and looking at the review I'm only really feeling left out by that contrast ratio being 50% better. The M27QP is quite grey, but overall the rest of the image is wonderful. The m27QA doesn't seem to improve my other problems with the monitor (minimum brightness, usb-c being sub 45 watts) and ends up a wash on other things like motion clarity and color, with a lower maximum SDR brightness for my bright room on some days.
Overall a worthwhile monitor but nothing that feels like it's actually replaced the M27QP. Hopefully they can improve smartOD for variable refresh rate too since it's been lacking for years now!
Had me scared reading the title! Thanks for the video.

I'm thrilled with the improved image quality and the additional performance boost. Now, I’m wondering if switching to a native 4K UHD monitor (3840x2160p) with 32 inches and only DLSS would result in better image quality and whether the performance would be worse or could potentially remain similar. I have a question(s) about color deviation and “oversaturation” of “sdr content”. (stream of consciousness below. no structure, BEWARE)
if I have a monitor in wide color gamut mode(calibrated, no red/orange faces), and the one who watches the content created by me - also has the same mode (and that is recommended setup). it will turns out that everything is conveyed perfectly without oversaturation, even when viewing SDR content. but if a person turns on sRGB mode, he will simply get a low saturated picture, not the correct(intended) one.
the picture conveys 8bit sdr 255red as “the reddest possible”, so how "the reddest possible" may turn out to be too red? I understand how SDR content has low color resolution, and I understand that the sRGB standard has a fixed wavelength of light for colors. But why do we, while having good monitors for 250-300 dollars that easily cover 130+% of the SRG - are still measuring deviations using the outdated sRGB? To me it seems to be more logical to measure the downward deviation of all the modes from Rec2020
main question is: This guessing of the creator's intention is a very strange thing, yea, “you'll never guess,” but is it worth using the oldest and worst mode possible because of this? its not even default one! and muuuuch further from default than adobergb or dp3
p.s. I would be interested to know how much the default mods of monitors changes within the gamut relative to DP3 not srgb. after all, red/orange faces disappear after calibration even in wide gamut, which means there is distortion/oversaturation in mid-tones not in peak.
p.s2 it’s strange that monitors setting have only one value per color and not like an equalizer with 10 sliders

Got this one here rightr now and next to it the msi 274QRFDE QD E2. In SRGB the gigabyte looks more natural and cool with a little blue tint. The msi in SRGB looks more saturated and has a more warm yellow tint. In some scenes like snow the picture looks quite cool and blueish. But overall i like tha natural look of the gigabyte more. BUT somehow the the black is really bad at SRGB. The MSI looks way more black. If i turn the gigybyte in Usermode 2 its screen is way more black and slighty more black than the msi. Usermode 2 on Gigabyte is just little more saturated. just turn that down and this looks the best for me. Unfortenatly it has deadpixel at black screen and alway has artefacts on the top end of the screen. MSI doesnt show that. Will replace the screen and see if these artefacts stay there.

So beware anyone buying without warranty , the monitors colors are great and price is fair but these stuck pixel issues especialy with back go back replacement doesnt seem to be good quality control.

Hello guys!! I am wondering if you could review the AOC Gaming Q24G2A. It looks like a great budget friendly option. 1440p-165 Hz, 24 inches!!!! Quite high pixel density. And less than 200 EUR 😮 It would be great to hear your thoughts about this product. Greetings!!!🫡

So it's 165Hz panel OC to 180Hz but not fast enough to do it in one single overdrive mode. No HDR capability zero light zones, and still 280$. Not worth it.

Once you are already spending that much on your pc, might as well pick a monitor that will last you for many generations. As a general rule of thumb, I like to think that you should spend as much on your monitor as you do on your gpu. That being said, it obviously only applies if you do have budget for that

@@rodrigoferreiramaciel4815 the fact of having the budget for it depends on my job situation. i'm doing an intership right now and, even though my boss told me he was interested in hiring me, i'll hold my judgement until the end of the contract. Right now i'm able to afford an M27QX, but if there are better options for quite a bit more money (maybe 500 to 600 euros at most) i could consider it, but i would like that extra money to go towards a 3rd monitor, maybe a 1080p 120hz IPS
