Wait, has he actually become a father and that's why he's been largely absent from SUSD recently? (I assumed he was just busy with his other UA-cam channel(s))
I adore the reviews where there are two of you present. In general the whole team is great i love seeing all the weird brands of lunancy on display but i find you shine brightest when you can work off eachother. Tom and Quinns is a particularly great combo. Amun-Re looks good i may pick it up for Xmas.
There are many good reviewers, thera are some great reviewers (most of them work for Shut up and sit down), then there's Quinn, which makes every review an entertaining masterpiece. 🎉
I cannot watch SUSD and drink my coffee at the same time. Coffee just ends up being spat everywhere as I suffer burst of uncontrollable laughter. Another great video.
I just learned this a few days ago so it's fresh in my mind, but fun fact : Amun-Re was one of the names of the Egyptian sun god. Most think of Ra being the sun god, which is true, but it could also be pronounced as Re. Meanwhile, Amun was a popular sun god from another small religion that the Egyptians liked so much, that they mashed Ra and Amun together. Thus, Ra could also be called Amun-Ra or Amun-Re, the name of this game. The more you know.
When my brother and I were first getting into board games, Amun-Re was one of the first we borrowed from our uncle's collection. Picking up an updated copy of my own is very tempting.
Ah, the joy I feel every time I see the face of Quinns in a video, alone or together with someone! This one, however, was way too short - more, please! 😄
My favorite Abbott and Costello of board game reviews have returned and are on top of their game. Laughed out loud on so many jokes. Who's on first? Who cares, especially if you get to be buried next to Draw one card. :D
Auctions are cool, but what about blind auctions where one player gets all the money, one player knows the cards, one player can sell their own cards, and one player gets extra cards? I think i just like dune.
I know everyone loves Ra and Modern art, but for me amun-re is the best Knizia bidding game. The "have the most pyramids on one side of the nile" is an absolutely genius mechanic. Its what makes the second phase of the game so much more interesting, because some land is barren, while others have a ton of pyramids. And sometimes you have to offer money to the god just to get extra bricks to secure your pyramid dominance.
Nice review. Glad to see you guys addressing the dangers of imagination. Speaking from experience it's a real slippery slope, once I accidentally let myself drift into a day dream (I know, very irresponsible) for a split second and now I old have one and a half kidneys. I do consider myself lucky though, could've been much worse.
Great review! It had some classic "Quinns and Paul" vibes, especially at the beginning. (Thankfully, you guys seem to be over eating components in bowls of milk like breakfast cereal.) I wish I could get gold-foil Sobek for my classic edition of Amun-Re.
I think the neighbours heard me laughing about the end of this video. Good to see you back, too, Quinns, always great to hear you riff. Your dad must be looking down from the big balloon in the sky with a smile.
If I had to have only one Knizia auction game it would be Modern Art, luckily I can have more than one because I'm a grown up with a job. Anyway, great review. I agree with the quibble about board legibility (desaturating the background a bit would fix 90% of the problem), it doesn't matter really but i'd have appreciated a little more effort spent on improving the graphic/information design given how deluxe and shiny everything else is. Also: The new bricks look more like blocks marinated tofu, something about the detailing that gives them the wrong scale. Also, nice poem.
When they said they were going to end the video with no imagination I thought they were going to immediately say: "Don't forget to like, comment and subscribe"
it's always great to see quinns spend some time with his son
During the video I was honestly thinking there could be a big enough age gap between them for that to be possible.
I was thinking this very thought.
Yay,those are perfectly fun comments!
The new presenter Quinns is really good, he should be in more of these reviews.
This format of review, two members playing off each other, is my favorite. Very fun video!
Imagine the chaos of Tom vs Emily(but live)
@@revimfadli4666 No no, don't use your imagination!

omg i miss these review format so much. So brilliant. Also missed Quinn in these videos. Quinn and Tom are such a great duo.
I must say, that was one of the most imaginative endings I've seen for one of these videos.
I love how the last point made before the imagination embargo was the BGG rank difference of 0.2

Ancient Egyptians sure loved their auctions if boardgames are to be believed! (thinking about Ra as well)
I love it how you guys always know just how far to be comedically awkward......and then go an additional few feet...great video!
quinton has fully entered his Dad Era and i'm happy to report it's going well so far

This review might be really good but I can't stop chuckling about IMAGINATIOG
That ending was deeply unimaginative.
Bravo.
So glad to see you reviewing this! I got my copy and I couldn't be happier with it.
absolutely love you guys and your imagination. the commentary and laser precision snipes were just too fun!
These guys are such a good duo
I didn't know this review was going to include an existential crisis. My copy of Ra and I are going to reflect on whether or not we have a soul.

I feel like Quinns and Tom's appearances are slowly converging.
They will one day merge to become Quom; this event will signal the end of days :)
I'm not believing you got two of the crispiest, most satisfying, highest of fives in a row without some sort of trickery. Reveal your secrets!

I feel called out because I immediately thought "Oh! Pyramid and point both begin with P!"
How often does Tom think about ancient Egypt?
Pretty often given how much he seems to think about Sobek 10:57
Ancient Egypt or just Sobek?
Did you know that two out of three Toms think about ancient Egypt every day? Science!
Yes
NO WAY THEY RELEASED A VID AT 1:15am I'M SO LUCKY now i must watch it all

Gosh, I LOVE your reviews! Not only do they help immensely but it's like watching a (wayy above average) sitcom. Great work, keep it up!

SUSD videos are like roller coaster rides that I want to get right back on! As soon as I am done thinkin bout Egypt.
I for one welcome Quinns' new grizzled foreign correspondent phase
Ah, the joy I feel every time I see the face of Quinns in a video, alone or together with someone! This one, however, was way too short - more, please! 😄
Good video. I particularly liked the ending. Superb! Finally some peace and calm harmony amongst board gamers😊

@@gus_bock I'm pretty sure Dune actually sand. But sand just small rock, so still works.
Sainsburys charge forty pounds for Dune, Krugg think big ripoff.
Vincent Dutrait art makes me want to buy the game, dunno if I'll like it or not. He just makes games pleasing to look at.
All without sacrificing gameplay-relevant information
I loved the ending of the video! I could continue to watch that part for hours. Oh, the imagination…incredible!
Quinns and Tom are like Xavi and Iniesta from FCB, the game just gets better when they play together. Love this duo
One of their best outros.
I do enjoy the animosity that runs through this video - another banger from SU&SD!
The best father and son duo in youtubes right now.
Great review, really liked the twist in the "boring" ending.

This was an absolutely hilarious review, well done!
Best outro. Great poem. Terrific review as always!
This is the most unimaginative episode of SU&SD that I've ever seen.
Pappa Quinns is back to settle down the young folk.
This was such a fun and funny review! Well done guys!
Best wind down ever!
fantastic to see that after Tom bossed Emily around, then Quinn can swoop back in and boss Tom around. Good old SUSD foodchain!
Oh goodness. How long did it take to recite that poem in one take 😂
Imaginatiog was my favorite joke on this channel and it’s not even close
This is a very clever and amusing piece of work - I think you two are inventing some new art form! Great stuff!
Definitely one of my favourite reviews in recent memory!
Goooo Team! Well done not ending the poem on N
This video made me happy, you guys are very good at this . Cheers!
Quinns has really perfected the doing nothingness. He has always been such a good actor.
Quinn looking absolutely marvelous.
this is a fun video, I'm loving the SUSD direction
And High Society is a Knizia auction masterpiece as well.
Finally! So happy to see you both cover this game. You have been sorely missed Quinns.
"Technically difficult" 😂
Tom and Quinn another informative and entertaining review thanks so much.
Going to add 'It's normal!' after saying everything now.
'Geotrmy, it's normal!'
Thanks SUSD!
I really love the Quinns and Tom videos

Getting Quinns naked, classic throwback! :D
Simply the best video of this new age of SU&SD, I could laugh again 😂🎉
Loved this video. You guys were great together
it's lush to see Quinns, Pip pip
Back on form! I'm loving the recent videos - good work SUSD team! Also I'd like to know how many takes it took to get that high five scene done.
No one stares into the void like Tom.
Always love your reviews xD thank you

Blue Lagoon has a similar resetting mechanic. It works quite well
Underappreciated game
This is the best SUSD video ending so far
Really fun video!
quinns looking good with his scuff
Great video
The fact that the subtitles kept rendering it "almond Ray" is worth the price of admission all on its own
I’m a simple man - I see Quinns, I watch video
(Tom is also nice)
The best board game channel
What the hell is Danny Divito doing in the background? 😂 I loved this ending
Tom and Quinns, best combo!
I'm early to an SUSD video? And it's Quinns and Tom?
Aite my luck has been capped for the rest of the year
Ra might be "better", but they are quite different experiences!
love the little "bp bp bp" at 13:50
Oh no, this tipped the scale for me to finally get it. Damn you Quinn. Damn you Tom.
I want to know how many takes it took to get two…, yes my god TWO consecutive solid high fives.
Nice to see Quinn's again!

For that entire ending, I was hoping for a poorly animated giant Stay Puft Marshmallow Man stepping past the window.
Those high-fives were CRISP
The production values on that ending, geez
This video made me imagine a better life for myself filled with laughter games and friends. For shame.
Quins' beard makes him look even more like a dad to Tom's whimsical ever child.
New favourite quote: like a slot machine that went to college.
When they said they were going to end the video with no imagination I thought they were going to immediately say: "Don't forget to like, comment and subscribe"
Mental silence is very relaxing. Imagination is overrated.
