[VUT] Windows XP TWO The Mac port is based off the Windows 95 port, which is based on the Windows 3.11 port. All three are rooted from the PC-98 port. This seems to be an enhanced port surprisingly, the voices and FM SFX are higher quality, the Japanese text is crisper, and there’s less noticeable dithering unlike the PC98 and Win 3.1x ports.
Those graphics though, that's why PC gaming looked super good back then. Shame the gameplay is ass due to how ridiculously stiff the control is. And that fucking music! The Mac was definitely not that shitty with music, as Alchemy for Mac was fucking awesome! It had the music also!
Actually, the Windows 95 edition of this game was pretty much the same. Besides, Alchemy was released in 2002, by then it was MacOS 10.0 era, so the two really cannot compare (It's like comparing games made for Windows XP with games released for Windows 95)
Puyo Puyo Tsu MAC uses .aif format, which is in some ways the "earlier" version of .wav or .flac uncompressed audio, and much better than the midi format used in the original Puyo Puyo MAC

That music is murderous.
Jomaster The Second I agree completely
It sounds like it was half-assed
Is this puyo music or am i on acid?
22:33 they used Arle’s unused voice line for Rulue lmao
22:34 IS THE START SOUND EFFECT FROM SNOW BROS
The music sounds like the Windows 95 port with the default MIDI sound font put through a grinder and loads of compression
Looks like they had enough space in the background of the intro to not miss spell their own game.
The cow says moo.
The pig says oink.
The Rulue says "LET'S GO"
Did they make the music in ms paint?
Imagine being the poor guy back in the 90s buying this from a computer store thinking you're getting the arcade experience.....
Still better than Atari2600 Pac-man going by that logic.
@@Rubycored I here you...
This version and the Windows version are drunk, I swear. Draco gives it away, look at her face!
The music is so busted...! Is this using QuickTime MIDI?

lmao reminds me of how you just took random midis from the network
@[VUT] Windows XP TWO Years late, but it doesn’t seem to be using MIDI. The tracks were likely recorded MIDIs though.
I don't know much about MacOS, but Ita worse than using QSynth on linux where you have to have it open or midi won't work.
7:05 why does this version have her look sleepy always for the most part?
She looks like she took marijuana ffs
Sebastien Monette Worst part is it was like this on Windows as well.
The Windows 95 port “fixes” this.
she's really tired of being the easiest AI in story mode of the normal difficulty.
I changed my mind. This is worse than the pc98 version DXX
6:46 Excuse me but wtf are you on?
Sebastien Monette shitty MIDI music is what she’s on.
Everything
emmm hola busque y busque y no tienes la música del puyo puyo macintosh
Hi...!!
of chance you don't have the music of puyo puyo Macintosh?
#greetings
25:07 why is it so conpressed though?
How come this game is so bad on Mac, but Puyo Puyo Tsuu is fantastic?
it's identical to the PC ports of the same games, as matter of fact.

But then how come Puyo Puyo Tsu had pretty good renditions of the tracks on Mac?

can you upload the ost for this game?
It was uploaded to khinsider
I fucking hate how Japan never gave us Puyo Puyo like the original (Not fucking reskins) until like I think the 2000's
Actually, I think they gave us Puyo Puyo Tsu in the US in... I think in 1994-5?
Just An LPer they ported the first one only to US arcades, no Genesis or SNES ports, nothing
Sure, the music is shitty, but can we please talk about THE FUCKING TYPO IN SCHEZO’S NAME AT THE END
Hola me gusto tu video pero podrias subir solamente el audio del juego?
solamente las canciones por favor...
te lo agradecería mucho

According to Satan's...
...a few of the graphics are even different.
the japanese text for the windows of this operating system is incompatible with macintosh.
Oh 1996 is different than 1993 ok
This port is ok bad music
This version is shit. I like Puyo Puyo Tsu on Macintosh better than this!
SpudSupreme The weird point is that this was ported somewhere in 1996 I think and they didn't add the outset rule or the ability to add it
The Satan-Sama battle is supposed to be epic, but this is boring

+RubycoredBejeweled, it's usually the PC Engine 98 Version of Puyo Puyo Except with Remaked/Made Music And Voice Clips from The Games
Brave
Oh God, the music sounds AWFUL! 🤢
