@@Nigward2k20 the enemy variations come in the form of mutations but I understand wanting different looking enemy models. I agree the boss fights were easy af but the higher master difficulties presented a better challenge. I think the story depends on what you were expecting going into it and don’t think they should have tied it to their Arkhamverse. As for future content, all new story, character, weapons, and locations will be free. Only thing that will cost money is cosmetics
Nah they charged up to 100$ for a game that doesn’t even have a proper ending with the promise pf an over arching seasonal story line that will be cancelled due to los player count just like marvel avengers. We’ve seen this story before
It’s also hugely a segment of people that just hate it because they feel it disrespects the Arkham universe. Which is a colossal joke btw. Those games ended 10 years ago and are a confined story. They really should’ve just said it was its own universe. There’s nothing here that connects the universe at all.

You're the FIRST reviewer ( I think) that has tried to separate this game from the Arkam cannon because holy s--t are people up in arms over the ending. So I have to ask, without spoiling it, what did you think? Regardless, I thought it was a good review and now I actually want to play this game.
It’s been WILD seeing how upset people are getting over some of the scenes within the game. It’s certainly a game that clips can be taken out of context and made to look worse than it is. The story doesn’t take itself seriously, but I think how each justice league hero played out was fitting. Suicide Squad is a bunch of criminals, and the JL was viewed through their eyes, not a heroes eyes. Within that context, it felt right. It’s not Rocksteady’s best narrative but it’s far from being the “total trash” claims that are getting thrown around!
Why seprarate it from the arkham cannon?
The devs themselves shoehorned it into the arkham canon
@@Joystick_Gamerjust because your characters are usually raunchy and chaotic, doesn’t mean they can’t take a moment to slow down and reflect. Especially when taking down people who they have years of interactions with. Moments like that are what create depth within your characters.
The game is great. It's just getting unnecessary hate.
Speaks to how great the state of gaming is if people are saying this game is trash.
Its not my favorite superhero game of all time but its definitely in my top 5.
Wish they animated the enemies instead of overloading the UI. And I hate the way the enemies look. Only gripes with the game.

People done this with Gotham knights which I defended because that’s a good game in my opinion. The problem is people csnt look past the Arkham trilogy that’s all people want so anything else is instantly bad.
The gameplay is not the problem, the story however has major issues but not really a surprise there. I wasn’t expecting to be amazed or even satisfied with the story so i wasn’t as disappointed as most people who probably just watched the story and made their conclusions there

The worst part of this game is the quest / mission design . Don’t kid yourself . 7 main missions that require you to protect a vehicle while it drives slow. That all lands on the quest designer and team. There is no excuse for the lack of variety or depth for the quests . 8 years of development and they want to charge $169.00 for a deluxe edition. It’s not justified. The story and characters etc are done in detail but the graphics are lacking as well. (Proven comparisons have been made) they should have just done a single player game story. Even if it was 4player coop. But looter shooter BS . Come on.
this right here. They could do soo much more with a concept like this, but most people have the attention span of a gold fish these days thanks to social media. This is a game for those people, not the people who fell in love with the Batman Arkham Games
7 main missions where a car is driving slow? Did you even play the game? Im 15 hours in and that mission come up ONCE, once during my time playing…

I honestly liked the game after some getting used to the weird left-shoulder camera.
I just skipped EVERY single cutscene to get to the gameplay, and I actually look forward to opening it up again today.
If you watch every single cutscene, you're bound to hate it. Just skip em!
Not all weapons can be equipped on all squad members...there is certain ones each can use

Thanks for the review. I liked the game a lot especially gameplay wise. The traversal & combat actually felt really satisfying with a loot system that barely wasted my time shockingly.. metropolis city looks great & feels like a playground ala crackdown.. the 60 fps doesn't hurt either lol

The truth is you have a interesting single player game trapped in a game as service and that is one of the several issues gamers are having with this game. Another issue is the treatment of the legacy characters like Batman being that this is in the Arkham universe. The light hardness of the game is not the issue as people won't want a carbon copy of Arkham knight but something unique. But it's the story, the live service, the fact that the gameplay mechanics of each member doesn't feel unique (like how it was done in Marvel's Avengers) and the treatment of the legacy characters that at the center. The banter between each character can be humorous and the character models are great, but this title just fall short of the mark.

I agree it's not a bad game, but the gameplay loop is repetitive and boring. The campaign was fun though.
The gameplay and premis are amazing, but the missions and live service aspects are awful. The bosses are uninteresting, There is no ending to the game, the world is unfamiliar even with the past arkham games, it looks and feels unfinished, constant bugs and crashes, and having to kill characters you love and want to play as so bad is a punch in the face most of the time. They should have just made a Justice League game instead. So disappointing
Not bad, just disappointing is my takeaway from this game. It's honestly an objective 7/10, C Product. For my money it's an enjoyable enough one of those but it's not something I'm likely to keep coming back to once I've embraced the grind enough to get the Platinum trophy.
It's really wild just how much hate this game is getting not based on what it is but because asses are mad that it's not another Arkham style game.
There’s actually infinite master levels . I’ve made it to about 17 now and it doesn’t look like it stops .

The game’s great. Now that I’ve played it for myself I’d give it a 8.5 out of 10.
The gameplay is great. It’s engaging, it chaotic, you have to constantly move. No complaints there.
I loved the story. I don’t wanna go on a tangent about what I love because I can go on and on. The little issues I have with it is that the heroes’ deaths were a little anticlimactic imo.

I don't hate it/regret buying it. It's definitely a bit disappointing compared to the studio's past efforts; mainly because they were made to chase the live service trend instead of being allowed to cook and make a real narrative focused campaign.
It’s a throughly disappointing looter shooter even. I mean the quest design is the worst. They reused a boss fight again as the final boss. The story is entertaining enough however it ends up being mostly pointless by the time it’s done. The basic gameplay is fine it’s just all pretty average and vapid

The fact that most people including me hate this trash is that Rocksteady says it’s canon in Arkhamverse. If they separate to it own universe, this game would be fun to play, but Rocksteady shoot in their legs with “canon Arkhamverse”.

I’d say the hate is rather justified. I payed 100 dollars to buy the deluxe edition and not only could I not access the premium skins,the game had kicked me out 4 times. Gameplay in my opinion was fun for a good two hours, but missions started getting repetitive. As for as the story narrative, it is completely abysmal. It didn’t need to be set in the Arkhamverse, this game destroys the 10 years of storytelling rocksteady invested in this interpretation of Batman.
I agree that they shouldnt have included this game in the Arkhamverse because it set a poor expectation for what this game actually is. Ive already been hearing theories that we didn't kill the JL and those were copies created by Brainiac. Time will tell though! As for the missing pre-order items, check the mailbox near Penguin's crafting area. You should be able to redeem them there, and you should also have a gift of 2,000 store credits for the server launch issues! I appreciate you checking out the video and dropping your thoughts!
