I had so much fun using the investment mix I wanted to make some unique molds for it. I found a product that works great with all types of objects and works great with the Investment Mix (Link below). Fancy wall bud vases for rooting cuttings thank u for the video got more ideas
It is a good product. It is what I started with but soon switched to using a liquid silicone mold maker (Oomoo) but also made a batch of DIY reusable mold maker using gelatin and glycerine. I found the videos for that on UA-cam also. Oomoo is still my favorite though. I will have to check out your other video on investment mix and maybe try this. I have oodles of molds and most are custom. :D - Heidi

And curious whether or not you prefer this product over silicone with soap and water ?
Can the investment mix be used to slump in a microwave kiln? If so, where can I buy some?
Arlene Sargent I would guess you could use it in a microwave kiln. It can’t hurt to try. I believe Bullseye Glass sells Investment Mix or you can make your own. The recipe is in the description and I mention it in the video. The Silva flower can be found at ceramic supply stores (where they sell potters clay) and the plaster is everywhere. Hope it works!
